The National Journal reports both presidential campaigns, along with their outside supporters, have spent a grand total of $457 million on TV ads. And we haven’t even reached the conventions. All that money has resulted in pretty much nothing. Every national poll has the race at a tie. The only little something something President Obama can claim is a fairly small lead in swing states Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to a poll released earlier this week. The conservative grassroots publication RedState is having a gathering in Florida this week featuring speakers like author David Limbaugh, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Florida Gov. Rick Scott. We hear that at the gathering several attendees said they’ve sent receipts from Chick-fil-A to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Emanuel criticized Chick-fil-A last week after the company’s CEO Dan Cathy voiced opposition to same-sex marriage. As of late, Justice Antonin Scalia has been on a media tour promoting his new book on interpreting the Constitution. But you know whose show he hasn’t been on? New York Times columnist Timothy Egan lets us know in an op-ed today: “If only he could face Jon Stewart; the comedian, at least, would not let Scalia get away with the kind of drivel he’s been serving in defense of the court decision [Citizens United v. The following is from a shocking* new report from the White House Dossier: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said today that “extremely credible source” has revealed to him that Mitt Romney has a pet elephant. “I cannot disclose the source, but he – or she – is extremely credible,” Reid said. The elephant, according to Reid, was shipped in to Boston from the planet Neptune last March and his been living with Romney at an undisclosed location ever since.
