42% Think U.S. Winning War on Terror

Confidence that the United States has the edge in the war on terror remains higher than it has been in several years, while concern about the dangers of domestic Islamic terrorism is down.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the United States and its allies are winning the war on terror. That’s down slightly from 45% in January just days before President Trump took office but is still a higher level of confidence than voters have felt since January 2013. The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on March 26-27, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
