57% Say Trump Too Confrontational

Republicans give President Trump high marks for leadership so far. Democrats and unaffiliated voters don’t and think he’s too confrontational.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 38% of all Likely U.S. Voters rate the president’s performance as a leader as good or excellent. Forty-eight percent (48%) consider his leadership poor. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on March 28-29, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
