37% Say U.S. Heading in Right Direction

Thirty-seven percent (37%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey for the week ending May 11.

That’s down two points from the previous week and is the lowest weekly finding since early April. This number dipped to 35% in mid-March, the lowest level in the Trump administration, before moving back to the low-40s in mid-April. It ran in the mid- to upper 20s for much of 2016.

The national telephone survey of 2,500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports from May 7-11, 2017. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
