High School Removes Students’ Pro-Trump Slogans From Pictures

A New Jersey high school scrubbed pro-Trump slogans displayed on clothing students wore for their yearbook photos. Multiple Wall Township High School students came forward to express outrage after they noticed their clothes had been altered in the photos, reported CNN Monday. “TRUMP: Make America Great Again” was removed from junior Grant Berardo’s shirt while student Wyatt Dobrovich-Fago had the word “Trump” taken off his vest. Another student claims that a quote she included under her picture from President Donald Trump was taken out. “He was disappointed. This was the first election he has been interested in,” Joseph Berardo, Grant’s father, told CNN. “I want the yearbooks to be reissued and I want a letter from the administration explaining why they are reissuing the yearbook.” The superintendent for Wall Township Public Schools plans to investigate the censorship. “There … Read entire article »

Making the VA Accountable Again

In 2014, the public learned from whistleblowers that government employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, kept “secret waiting lists” to hide long waits for care at their facilities. Dozens of veterans died waiting for care as a result. Since that watershed, there has been a torrent of revelations about misconduct at the department. We learned that the Phoenix VA was not the only hospital to use secret waitlists. The problem was “systemic” across the VA system. We learned of multiple instances where VA bureaucrats retaliated against whistleblowers for exposing malfeasance. Gallingly, the VA Inspector General’s Office reacted with “hostility” to whistleblowers and worked to “minimize” their allegations. In other words, the very office charged with investigating misconduct at the VA was covering up misconduct at the VA. These findings exposed a … Read entire article »

Terry McAuliffe’s ‘gun violence’ data gets shot down

**Written by Doug Powers When you’re so locked into partisan gun control exaggeration that you inflate data by a factor of one million — twice: 93 million a day? At that rate everybody in the U.S. would be eliminated by “gun violence” (defined as the bizarre phenomenon where guns become self-aware and somehow commit violence all on their own) before Sunday brunch. McAuliffe was encouraged to correct himself: The governor’s response prompted a reporter to ask him why he was bringing up the gun issue if it was not a conversation that he was going to have on Wednesday, saying that he would be criticized for politicizing the shooting by pushing gun control. “Sir, just checking. Ninety-three million is a big number. Did you mean to say 93 million?” one reporter then asked. “Ninety-three individuals … Read entire article »

How gracious! UN might offer states, cities chance to buy into Paris Agreement

**Written by Doug Powers The United Nations has told President Trump the Paris Agreement can’t be altered or renegotiated in any way just because of one country. But they are open to alternatives… Patricia Espinosa, head of the United Nations climate change secretariat, told the ministers she intends to open the door for regions, cities and other sub-national players to join the international talks, said Carlo Carraro, a member of the U.N.’s International Panel on Climate Change Bureau. “This is obviously important, because cities like New York and states like California that intend to pursue the same direction — of reducing emissions very ambitiously — will have a voice and will be able to sign agreements inside the international convention on climate change.” How generous! If progressive politicians in U.S. cities like … Read entire article »
