Foreign Soros-Backed Media Outlet Bashes Conservatives With US Taxpayer Dollars

For additional proof that the State Department has no business teaming up overseas with the vast network funded by the billionaire George Soros, look no further than the portentously named Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. The OCCRP calls itself “an investigative reporting platform formed by 24 nonprofit investigative centers … spread across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.” In words that could have come from John Lennon’s “Imagine,” its website further states: “Our organization doesn’t belong to any country, political philosophy or set of beliefs.” (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It is, however, almost fully funded by Soros, a financier with a penchant for subsidizing radical causes around the world—with assistance from our own State Department. At the bottom of nearly all its pages, it proudly displays the logos of Soros’ Open Society Foundations … Read entire article »

Gingrich on Russian Investigation: ‘The Fix Is In’

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich is deeply concerned about Robert Mueller’s ability to lead a nonpartisan, unbiased investigation, he said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation. “The fix is in,” Gingrich said. “This is the establishment counterattacking legally when they lost politically.” (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Gingrich is specifically concerned about the fact that employees at Mueller’s ex-law firm, WilmerHale, gave $326,798 to Hillary Clinton in the run up to the 2016 presidential election, … Read entire article »

Working-Class Republicanism By Kyle Kondik

A new book tells the story of a president who made his name as an entertainer and a Democrat before moving to the Republican Party and then launching a bid for the presidency. This candidate won his party’s presidential nomination despite objections from some party stalwarts that he was unelectable in the fall. He then captured the presidency in part because he was able to perform better than Republicans typically do in some traditionally white, working-class areas in key states. … Read entire article »

Call this bluff: UN threatens to boot US if Trump doesn’t play ball

**Written by Doug Powers The response to this should simply be “OK, good luck with that”: Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned the Trump administration on Tuesday that if the United States disengages from many issues confronting the international community it will be replaced — and that won’t be good for America or for the world. Guterres made clear to reporters at his first press conference here since taking the reins of the United Nations on Jan. 1 that proposed cuts in U.S. funding for the U.N. would be disastrous and create “an unsolvable problem to the management of the U.N.” But the U.N. chief stressed that he is not afraid to stand up to President Donald Trump, citing his vocal opposition to the U.S. leader’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. He said the mobilization … Read entire article »

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow blows lid off ‘partisan implications’ of rain

**Written by Doug Powers If you’re keeping score at home, Democrat Jon Ossoff’s loss in Georgia last night means it’s time to update your “#1 cause of Democrat voter disenfranchisement” card to voter ID laws Russian hacking rain: Maddow: “Steve, let me ask you one last question on this. If there was a turnout effect from the bad weather today in the district, does that have any partisan implications that you could foresee in terms of what was expected for same day, election day voting rather than the early vote?” This is at least as embarrassing as the thing with Trump’s taxes: (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Because everybody knows that only Republicans own umbrellas!
