Americans See A Tough Summer Job Market for Teens

Unemployment has reached a 10-year low, but nonetheless, jobs are still seemingly few and far between for Americans, and they don’t see young people faring much better for summer jobs.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of American Adults think it will be at least somewhat difficult for young people to find summer jobs in the current economy. This includes 19% who think it will be Very Difficult. Thirty-eight percent (38%) don’t think it will be difficult for them to find summer jobs, including just nine percent (9%) who say it’s Not At All Difficult.
