Voter Confidence in Economic Fairness Jumps to New High

As the unemployment rate drops to its lowest level in 10 years, optimism among voters that the U.S. economy is fair has soared to new highs.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 61% of Likely U.S. Voters think the U.S. economy today, generally speaking, is at least somewhat fair. That’s up from 45% the last time the question was asked in October and is at its highest level since Rasmussen Reports first asked the question in December 2012. The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on June 8 and 11, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
