41% Think Navy Experiencing More Mishaps At Sea

The commander of the U.S. Navy’s 7th Fleet was relieved of his duties yesterday following four separate accidents involving Navy ships in the Pacific this year. But voters aren’t certain if the Navy has actually been experiencing more mishaps than usual or if the media is just drawing more attention to them now. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on August 21-22, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
