In Trump Decision, Jury Finds Itself Guilty – The American Spectator
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters,” Donald Trump famously said in 2016. If he realized the truth of an opposite phenomenon, he did not vocalize it.
Affirmation that he could jaywalk across Fifth Avenue and face kidnapping, rape, or murder accusations came on Tuesday. A civil jury dismissed the sexual assault accusation against him but found him guilty of battery and defamation in the E. Jean Carroll case.
Ms. Carroll could not recall the year the alleged battery took place. But a jury nevertheless determined it happened, at some point, maybe in the mid-1990s.
And who cares about such trivial details as the year a crime occurred? Certainly if you or your closest male relative faced such reputation-shattering charges, then you would not mind if your accuser could not quite pin down the year of the assault, would you?
