In Taiwan a small island nation just south of China and this election could very likely determine something that could impact most of the world uh one of the reasons why the Tai these elections is National well international news right now um it’s something of course very big for the US I’ll be explaining
It folks uh that said a few different things are happening the CCP leaders are plotting to interfere in taiwan’s elections they had a secret meeting which got leaked I’ll be explaining that and the Chinese Communist part is trying to use political Warfare and soft power to try to sway the elections again
Happening tomorrow now look the future of Taiwan is currently being decided and the Chinese Communist party is pulling out all stops to try to sway the country in its favor Taiwan is holding its 2024 elections again for the president of the country and for its legislature and the
Elections right now are fairly split between a pro- Taiwan independence party and another party which is more in line with appeasing the Chinese Communist party and as this takes place the CCP has been holding top level meetings on how to alter the outcome of the elections Reuters had this and said that
Senior Chinese leaders and this is something that’s been said by several outlets right now senior Chinese leaders in of course mainland China held the meeting in early December to coordinate government efforts to sway upcoming elections in Taiwan and they site intelligence gathered on the island part of a campaign Taiwan officials are
Seeing as voting interference and notes that Taiwan officials have warned that Beijing the Chinese Communist party is trying to nudge voters in Taiwan towards candidates who seek closer ties in the January 13th presidential and legislative election which is happening as China ramps up military and political pressure to try to force the
Democratically governed Island to accept its sovereignty what do they mean by this basically again you have two main parties and a third party in Taiwan let me briefly explain these the incumbent party the one currently you know holding office in Taiwan and the one that is against the Chinese Communist Party most
Openly and is also saying that Taiwan is a country that is the DPP the Democratic Progressive Party and the DPP is of course at least last we saw leaning in the polls we do not know the latest polls because Taiwan has actually very secure elections in my opinion I I I’d
Love to talk to you more about this Taiwan has actually pretty pretty secure elections and they have one rule where there could be no polling within 10 days of the election being held and so we don’t know the current polling uh last numbers from about 10 days ago uh showed
The DPP with about a 3 to 10o lead over the kmt that’s the kuming tong the kuming tong was of course the party that fought the Civil War against against the Chinese Communist Party fled to the island of fosa now known as Taiwan and founded the Taiwanese Nation also known
As the Republic of Taiwan and of course it used to be called free China and China under the Chinese Communist party was called you know communist China um some of the history of this is very complicated uh basically they’ve had disagreements over the years over who actually controls China as a whole uh
The Chinese Communist Party of course says that the CCP controls all of China and they include of course Taiwan in that the Taiwanese government up until you know maybe like the 80s essentially uh used to say that they were the official government of China including mainland China and so there there’s a
One China policy essentially on this with the key agreement that hey there’s one China and the agreement on who actually controls China is it Taiwan or is it the Chinese Communist Party um the old policy of the Taiwanese government is that they wanted to conquer China
Just as much as CCP wanted to conquer Taiwan that changed and the current system has gone from of course Taiwan wanting to recapture China and continue their Civil War to saying we are an independent country uh we do not recognize of course the CCP claims over
Taiwan and they just want to live their lives uh Taiwan has become the ninth largest trading partner of the United States it’s also one of the main manufacturers you know behind the sensitive chips the CCP wants to get it’s a fairly Hightech economy and Taiwan has become its own country with
Its own identity the Taiwanese identity uh that no longer has this agenda to try to capture you know f finished the Civil War and recapture China um it used to be the US stance that Taiwan was recognized as the official government of China that changed under Jimmy Carter and uh it’s
Kind of complicated Jimmy Carter former president of the United States bypassed Congress to get rid of America’s policy of Defending Taiwan long story short the US now as a very Gray Zone policy where we do support of course taiwan’s right to be it’s right right to be independent essentially although they don’t use
Those words but if the CCP were to ever invade Taiwan it would initiate a process where the us could re-evaluate its diplomacy with mainland China to the CCP and say whether or not we’re going to defend the island nation uh the United States has remained committed to defending Taiwan against CCP takeover
The United States has three times done so uh you of course the Taiwan straight crisis and of course that’s the general understanding now as the CCP is again threatening Taiwan and stating clearly that if the DPP the Democratic Progressive Party wins which has a policy of independence from China uh the
CCP saying that’s a red line and they’re saying they’re going to wage war to conquer the island uh the kmt the kuming tong they say that they’re not going to like sell out the island the issue with that is that the CCP says they’re going
To conquer it one way or the the other militarily or non-militarization this as a way to conquer Taiwan again they had a big meeting specifically on how to prop up political candidates who they believe will initiate a process that will allow them to retake Taiwan or take Taiwan
Taiwan technically was never part of China under the CCP uh during various parts of of Chinese history going back 5,000 years of course times where it did was under China technically Japan had it leading up to World War II after World War II it’s a bit shaky of course and of course
Taiwan fought a civil war against the CCP and U formed its own Nation it’s a very complicated mess back to Reuters it notes that the meeting held by CCP leaders and how to interfere with the Taiwanese elections currently happening focused on ensuring the effectiveness and coordination of various work on the
Taiwan elections according to an internal Taiwanese memo summing up its intelligence on the Chinese meeting it says the meeting again held by top CCP leaders concluded that different agencies of the CCP should consolidate their work on Taiwan with the publicity department and a psychological warfare unit under the people’s Liberation Army
The Chinese military called base 311 running influence campaigns to sway public opinion via news outlets and social media the memo said briefly on on this um one of the main fighting force of the Chinese Communist party’s military is not technically on tanks and bombs and guns and you know troops you
Know running across the beaches and so on like that the main fighting force of the Chinese Communist party’s military is an unconventional warfare unrestricted Warfare one of the policies officially adopted into their military Doctrine is called the three Warf fares and the three Warf fares which is again
Adopted by the pla the people’s Liberation Army the military of the Chinese Communist Party um it represents media Warfare psychological warfare also called public opinion Warfare and legal Warfare and what does that mean media Warfare is the control of all Outlets of information including social media including news outlets including YouTube
Channels and everything else and the CC CP as part of its strategy against Taiwan is very much using that there reports of the CCP it’s unclear exactly how much control they have over Tik Tok but on Tik Tok there’s tons and tons and tons of CCP information operations trying to
Sway Taiwanese voter opinions Tik Tok is very popular in Taiwan when it comes to of course media and social media the CCP is also trying to to feed stories and it’s even creating many many many news channels on YouTube which is actually banned in China but the CCP
Uses it almost like a military operation and they’re also buying off influence with influencers like your YouTubers your journalists um any kind of influencer you have they they even tried blackmailing a boy band in Taiwan one of the big stories on this um and of course when it comes to psychological warfare
Psychological warfare is a tactic of altering the way a person uh interprets reality you’re not necessarily altering the facts you’re altering the perception of the facts although they also have disinformation where they just fake things and so on and legal Warfare is of course the manipulation of international
Legal systems this is a war fighting operation of the Chinese military back to Reuters it says that given of course these planning meetings the CCP has been holding on how it’s going to manipulate taiwan’s elections it says that China’s Taiwan Affairs office this is under the CCP and the united front work department
One of the overt spy operations of the Chinese Communist Party were tasked with reaching out uh reaching out Outreach programs that included exchange activities with Taiwan politicians and discounted air tickets for Taiwanese living in China to fly home to vote and remember the CCP of course tries to Blackmail politicians blackmail
Journalists blackmail Business Leaders and everything else in order to make them serve the interests of the CCP while maintaining the facade of representing the country they’re in it’s a deeply corrupt system and notes as well the memo said that China the Chinese Communist Party would continue
To quote play Up The Narrative of a choice between peace and War which posits that if the ruling DPP Democratic Progressive Party stays in power a war with China is likely meaning the CCP is using military threats as well in order to make it appear to the Taiwan
Taiwanese people you’re going to die in on the battle field or you’re going to be bombarded with Chinese missiles unless you vote for the kmt that is the message the CCP is sending now CNN noted as well that Beijing has ramped up its its push to interfere in next month this
Is recently of course because remember the meeting of the CCP was in December next month’s Taiwan presidential election held tomorrow by the way with a top Chinese leader urging officials to be more effective and discreet in their work at a recent High Lev meeting according to a senior Taiwanese security official it notes
That Wang Hu ning the fourth ranking leader in China’s ruling Communist party and the top official in charge in charge of Taiwan affairs convened the meeting last week again in December to coordinate efforts by different departments to influence the self-governing islands presidential election Taiwan on January 13th tomorrow
The official told a selected group of reporters including CNN on Thursday citing information gathered by the Taiwanese intelligence Community it notes that Wong this top level CCP leader fourth guy in the CCP a longtime adviser to Chinese leader Xi Jinping was put in charge charge of Taiwan Affairs
Early this year after being appointed the deputy head of the central leading group for Taiwan Affairs a decisionmaking body chaired by Xi Jinping himself the grand dictator of the Chinese Communist party it notes that according to the Taiwanese official who revealed this information and requested anonymity due to the
Sensitivity of the matter that Wong told officials attending the meeting that the Chinese Communist Party must step up its effectiveness in influencing taiwan’s public opinion while reducing the likelihood that external parties could find evidence of such interference in other words the planning meeting held in China to interfere with the Taiwanese
Elections was not only on how they were going to carry out these operations which included spy departments the military diplomatic systems and so on but also had a component of how they would conceal these operations and make it look like the CCP was not behind it
And here we are now now the CCP has been well the CCP has not been good at concealing this in fact they’ve let’s put it this way there have been articles after articles after articles of how the CCP is interfering with the Taiwanese elections because it
Is so out in the open now this is taking into account this is only what we can see maybe there’s a ton of stuff we can’t see um again but the stuff we’re seeing is pretty dang significant business insiders said that she XI jingping straight up told Biden
That China is going to take over Taiwan Reports say and saying as well that it could end in war it notes that she XI jingping bluntly asserted the Chinese right to rule Taiwan and said it would prefer to take it peacefully not by force according to NBC and it notes the
Chinese leader she reportedly denied us intelligence claims that China intended to be ready to seize Taiwan by 2027 saying the timing had not yet been decided in other words they may do it at any time now look one of the key narratives the Chinese Communist party is pushing is this idea that saying
Taiwan is an independent country if you say Taiwan is an independent country they now say that that is an Act of war the mere statement Taiwan is an independent country is an act of War for the CCP the Chinese Communist party has declared ownership over all of Taiwan
And is saying it will conquer Taiwan whether it’s through peaceful means or through you know a straight just allout war and they’re saying anything otherwise is itself an act of hostility The ccp’s Stance is kind of like a rapist declaring its victim is married
To it and that if its victim refus to be raped then it’s an act of divorce that’s essentially what it’s doing the CCP is forcing itself on Taiwan and saying that if Taiwan resists then Taiwan is guilty because they’re resisting the act now look this is basically what the CCP is
Doing although it sounds kind of crude Taiwan is by every means an independent country it is one of the top economies in the world it’s the nth largest trading partner to the United States the Chinese Communist Party says it owns Taiwan and that Taiwan is you know if
They claim otherwise then it’s an act of separatism and would cause the CCP to wage war on the country let me show you this directly here’s Xi Jinping himself stating as much a couple weeks ago Reuters said that President Xi Jinping and he’s not president he’s not an
Elected official he is a communist dictator but see CCP leader called by Reuters president Xi Jinping vowed on Tuesday to resolutely prevent anyone from splitting Taiwan from China in any way news brief Taiwan is already split from China and they’re holding their elections but don’t tell the CCP that
Too loudly apparently and this is according of course to shinua news one of the state-run media in China and it notes this is according to shei it says the motherland China must be reunited and inevitably will be reunited what is the meaning of that reuniting means that
They will conquer any country that they claim ownership over now it notes as well that China must deepen integration between the two sides promote the peaceful development of relations across the Taiwan straight and quote resolutely prevent anyone from splitting Taiwan from China in any way and that’s
According to Xi Jinping himself now look it notes that China says the Taiwan election is an internal Chinese Affair you know in China they don’t actually have you know presidential elections not real ones anyway in China they don’t have democracy they’re a communist country Taiwan does have
Elections and most what you’re going to get in China if you’re like in Hong Kong or something like that is this illusion you can vote but you can only vote for these few individuals that we have pre-selected for you you can vote but only for the people we say you can vote
For you know that that’s democracy under the Chinese Communist party but not true democracy or what Taiwan represents and of course here we are now the ccp’s agenda on the Taiwanese elections have been pretty widely exposed the hill notes that Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party are so afraid of the
Chinese people they refuse to allow them to to express themselves through elections preferring instead to intervene in Western elections and try to influence the results of most fa results most favorable to the interests of the Chinese Communist party and notes that on Taiwan they oppose vice president William lie the candidate of
The DPP and of course the DPP has a stance that they are an independent country the CCP is saying that because the leading political candidate is saying Taiwan is a country that that is a Act of separatism and they because of that they’re pushing up the alternate option the kmt and maybe
Even the TPP the third party now one of the Chinese Communist party’s key tactics has been influence campaigns and I’ll be showing you evidence of this but let’s jump over to Epic TV first and of course we’ll talk about how this relates to the US before we jump over
Exclusively to Epic TV I was also recently in South Korea and did a special feature on The ccp’s Hidden Hand that special feature is free for everybody to watch that was my again investigative feature from South Korea I’m working on some more stuff by the way uh that is available right now for
Everybody on Epic TV you do not need to be a subscriber to watch the special feature on the CCP zand let me show you the trailer of that then we’ll jump over the ch Communist Party uses bribery blackmail economic threats and outright subversion to quietly seize control of
Other nations while the CCP threatens to invade Taiwan using military force well the Communist Regime is already invading other nations only it’s not being done with troops and bombs instead it’s being done with non-military tactics and South Korea has been an active Target of the Chinese Communist Party in this lesser
Known form of War
