States are sovereign of all powers not written in the constitution not given to the federal government under the constitution and actually if you go by that standard the federal government has very very little power over the states now this is actually a trend we’re seeing it’s not just texas doing this
We’ve also seen two counties in nevada do this as well uh folks we’re gonna go over this tonight go over a few other stories uh also folks again if you have questions leave them in the chat we’re trying to get to we’ll try to get to around the halfway point
All right folks that said good to see you all here yeah god first amen hello josh yeah fossil licks based yeah uh liz williams hi from texas good to see you thank you gary s good evening also uh rice burner95n what do you miss we’re just starting so you should be all good
Yeah folks good to see you all here yeah mike goldin said joshua i love what those businesses in baltimore did any chance we can get 75 million plus to do the same uh those of you missed last the last live we did last time we talked about how uh
Several dozen businesses in baltimore signed a letter saying they’re gonna start withholding taxes uh local taxes until the local government starts doing its job with law enforcement and the the local baltimore government actually did something about it now the maybe we’ll have to see if that
Continues i don’t know if you all saw some of the stories coming out of california like in san francisco they they’ve decriminalized petty theft now where people are going into like walgreens and stealing 800 worth of goods and stuff like this there’s some very strange stuff going on with this
A few folks are saying i’m a bit blurry let me just double check my camera settings yeah very strange i don’t know why the camera is blurry tonight folks yeah apologize for the quality as you can see i’m actually still on the road and i wonder what’s going on with the camera
Let me let me do one quick thing before we really get into it because i rather have you all get good quality rather than not all right see if that makes a difference all right folks that said let’s jump into the first story for the night i want to go over what’s happening
With texas and also how this ties in a bit of what’s happening in arizona sorry nevada as well all right folks first story up this is from twitter and this is governor greg abbott in texas saying this he says i just signed a resolution asserting texas sovereignty right hear that folks a resolution
Signed by the texas governor asserting texas sovereignty and that sovereignty under the tenth amendment of the constitution overall power is not granted to the federal government by the u s constitution and abbott says the resolution officially notifies the president and congress the federal government to cease acts of encroaching upon the powers of
States this is a big deal folks now i’ve actually been going back and studying the constitution quite a bit lately some big announcements related to that hopefully i can tell you how soon some stuff been working on uh but it’s actually interesting uh under the constitution states
Actually have a lot of rights and the federal government actually has very very limited rights the powers of the federal government when it comes to dictating what happens in the states is actually really slim uh this goes back to the government america had prior to the signing of the constitution
Remember folks the first government we had in the united states uh was not a constitutional republic it used to be the american confederacy it was the confederacy of states where states had kind of a pseudo agreement between each other and there was very little in terms of any kind of federal
Government it was more like a a treaty between states uh they found that they had trouble interact you know doing diplomacy with foreign governments that trouble making states uh you know forcing them to kind of pay their share into this whole program and they saw it was going to fall apart
You know real quick they kept up with it when the founding fathers decided to sign the declaration of independence it was with that in context and part of the context of that also is that they wanted to maintain the powers of the states a lot of them were very distrustful of a monolithic
Government a lot of them did not want a government that could dictate everything in the states and so they created the united states not as a democracy right not as a democracy where you could have 55 percent of the population dictate uh the right you know dictate how things should be
Done for the other 45 percent not a democracy where they could say we you know the mob says we should end free speech today on this word that word in this in this other word and you never want to follow along with it we are specifically a republic which is a representative democracy
Meaning people elect their representatives from the states who represent the states and each state no matter how big the state is or how small the state is has equal representation to some extent balanced when it comes to the way the country is run now the federal government actually began overstepping this
Going way back to the days of uh geez it was franklin d roosevelt you really start you really saw a lot of these changes start and that was when they actually extended the bill of rights of the constitution to dictate state law and also gave more power to the supreme court to begin
Dictating local law interpreting local law and you know applying that to the state level a lot of that was not in place before that now technically in the united states the powers of the federal government over the local states is limited as as governor greg abbott notes under the 10th amendment of the
Constitution the powers the federal government are actually limited to the rights the powers granted to it actually written in the constitution anything that is not written in the constitution that is given to the federal government which is not much anything outside of that is the sovereignty of the states
And as you can see of course looking at the country today the federal government has very very far overstepped that now this is a big deal this is a big deal because actually this is an accurate interpretation of the constitution an older interpretation of the constitution and an interpretation that
Hasn’t really been called out or enforced i mean not for a very long time at least i wouldn’t know the last time it’s been enforced i would say really going back to again uh post world war ii the days of franklin d roosevelt uh this is a big deal folks we’ll have
To see again also whether this spreads as a phenomenon now i have another big update on this because we see two counties in nevada doing something similar but first folks as i mentioned a few times we are totally demonetized uh here on youtube crossroads is 100 demonetized by youtube that’s why we
Don’t have super chat that’s why we don’t have advertisements uh but folks luckily we do have sponsors and tonight’s episode is brought to you by american hartford gold and folks with the multi trillion dollars in spending uh inflation going up more inflation predicted soon on the horizon

Episode and folks let’s go into another part of the story we were talking about which is again the let’s say shift towards constitutional sovereignty that is just beginning in the united states in some places now greg abbott governor greg abbott in texas just came out with this today and so
Greg abbott coming out with us today is a big deal because it shows that there’s a trend starting because folks just recently we saw two counties do something similar epic times reports here two says two nevada counties go quote constitutional now it says here elected commissioners in two nevada counties declared
That the bill of rights which is the rights that you have under the constitution now a brief background on this folks the constitution the american constitution is is the american government it lays out how the government works what the standards of government are what the limits of government are
It’s all there plain as day i think people have interpreted in different ways because they you know want to kind of get grab power to themselves to some extent or because you know you deal with some complicated issues that do require interpretation the constitution is pretty straightforward and direct now the main
Part of the constitution lays out this structure of government the roles of government protocols for government and so on but the founding fathers also put in a bill of rights now this was not an original part of the part of the constitution this was this came in through debates among the
Founding fathers because a lot of them said we don’t need a bill of rights it’s it’s going to be understood that people have these protections because the the reach of the federal government is actually quite limited because the reach of the federal government was so limited they actually
Didn’t think it would be necessary but again with great with governor greg abbott now stepping forward to start enforcing those limits on the federal government we see that maybe it was necessary to an extent now the bill of rights is what a lot of people talk about when they talk about
Freedom of speech uh freedom of assembly freedom of belief freedom to uh you know own and bear firearms that’s your bill of rights and also standards on you know courts and so on in fair represent equal representation under the law no illegal searches and seizures these types of things that is your bill
Of rights now again these two these elected commissioners now in two nevada counties have declared that the bill of rights these rights you have will be upheld in their jurisdictions even if it means standing against unconstitutional acts by state and federal authorities this is interesting folks these are not states doing this
Right these are not these these are not cities doing this these are counties doing this and they’re saying that even if the federal government tries to take away your bill your constitutionally protective protected rights even if the state tries to take away your protected rights the counties
Are going to keep enforcing folks your constitutional rights and make sure that those are not infringed and again they do have the ability to do that under the constitution because technically the federal government and through interpretation because of the overreach technically of the uh judicial branch the supreme court
Technically states now are held to it as well even though originally they were not the bill of rights but folks it says here according to a resolution approved in elko county on june 2nd abuse of the constitutionally protected rights of citizens in elko and lander counties will be quote dealt with as criminal
Activity that’s a big deal folks abuse of your constitutionally protected rights will be dealt with as criminal activity they’re specifically pointing to the federal government and the state government and so what they’re saying here is if the federal government the state the state government tries to take away things abuse your
Constitutionally protected rights they’re going to consider that as criminal activity this is this is interesting right now it continues officials in lander county approved a similar effort under the leadership of constitutionally minded sheriffs and elected commissioners and keep in mind folks in the united states the sheriffs are the more
Traditional form of police and they’re also the sheriffs are elected officials they actually have the ability to choose to enforce or not enforce laws based on whether they interpret them as being constitutional or not the sheriffs actually have a lot of power in the united states and again they they appoint their
Sheriff’s deputies who are the kind of police technically now they have done this right under the leadership again of these sheriffs and elected commissioners the true the two rural counties in nevada have decided to become constitutional counties that’s the word they’re using constitutional counties where the rights of citizens
Will be protected from all attacks and that means folks that means local authorities intend to uphold the entire bill of rights in those jurisdictions and that even federal and state officials must comply with the us constitution when there and they said this right meaning again if federal and state officials
Violate the rights of citizens in these counties then those state officials and federal officials will be deemed as having committed criminal acts under the laws of these again counties meaning they might try to even press charges against these officials which is an interesting shift folks now as part of
The effort of becoming a constitutional county the two county governments also became the first in the country to officially join the constitutional sheriff’s and peace officers association that is again sheriffs and police and police are different from sheriffs right technically and again folks this was on june 2nd
These two counties deciding to do this that was june 2nd now we have happening as we speak right june 15th and governor greg abbott has stepped out and declared that all of texas is going to begin holding the boundaries of the federal government in check in accordance with the constitution
Specifically the 10th amendment of the constitution that actually does limit the scope of the federal government within the boundaries of what is described in word in text in the constitution and everything outside of that is the jurisdiction of the states right state sovereignty jurisdiction granted to them by the constitution beginning to be
Enforced technically folks this has always been in place but it just hasn’t really been acted upon and this will be this will be interesting especially as i mentioned a few times with other issues like this because other states might replicate this not even states at this point but even counties might replicate this
This is especially interesting because what you have in the united states is oftentimes blue states or red states where certain counties behave differently for example if you go to new york new york city is very left very democrat but the out the outer counties do tend to be more red more republicans and
Technically more constitutional same thing in california right sacramento san francisco very far left right as well sacramento san francisco los angeles very far left typically but a lot of the counties are actually very conservative in a lot of areas conservative as in they believe in upholding the constitution
Keep in mind folks as well that there’s a difference in language saying you’re conservative does not necessarily mean you’re republican a lot of people i’d say in this country who do identify as conservative may not like the republican party because it’s there’s a difference between political parties
And the a statement of values where you believe in conserving the traditional values whether it’s of your religion or of what the country stands for i.e the constitution conservatives do tend to be up for conserving the constitution and so counties that are more of the conservative mindset not necessarily republican mindset
But conservative mindset that do have it in their interest to conserve the values and traditions of the united states may actually start replicating this method may actually take what is now being done right being done by these counties in nevada and choose to do the same and if again
They’re acting within the boundaries of the constitution and they’re just enforcing the constitution technically they have protection from the constitution to do that it’s interesting right because again the sheriffs in the united states they do their job in accordance right with choosing they swear that when they swear their
Oaths and take their jobs part of the oath is to uphold the constitution to guard the constitution to to defend the constitution same thing with same thing with elected officials same thing with the u.s military personnel and so they can say that under the under law under the structure of the
United states under the way this this country was set up by the founding fathers they’re actually acting within their rights to do this it’ll be interesting to watch whether other states choose to do the same like governor abbott is doing and whether other counties will do the same
This is a big deal in and of itself texas is a big a big state and again now that you have texas doing this and you have counties doing this uh we’ll have to see if this becomes or whether it will end here folks but this is a big deal um
Especially going into 2022 with the midterm elections and so on and on that note too i’m not sure if you all saw but biden also released his national security strategy which is focused almost entirely on rooting out what he calls domestic terrorism and what he claims is white supremacy
And not to see what that actually means because i don’t see a whole lot of white supremacy but you know they’ve really redefined the definition of white supremacy especially in the trump years right the mainstream media and it seems that he’s going to be going after mainly the militias and things
Like this let’s see what it actually entails maybe it will be legitimate domestic terrorism uh but folks it may involve things that overs that extend the reach of the federal government and it’ll be interesting to see how this clashes with that um it’s going to be a very important phenomenon to watch going
Forward i would say for the united states this is one of the i’d say one of the more significant areas of debate we’re going to have going forward where the federal government ends and where the states begin in terms of government powers and also where your constitutionally protected rights
End or begin and where government’s ability to let’s say give itself additional powers especially as it relates to terrorism because again you have the patriot act under george bush and so on that really extended a lot of that we’ve seen laws passed that violate technically your constitutionally protected rights
But were changed in ways to basically let’s say change the status quo in terms of how this stuff is done folks i keep getting notes that the cameras are getting blurry um let me just check one thing real quick apologize folks we yeah unfortunately sometimes i travel
And internet isn’t always as reliable as i would hope now folks that said again if you have questions leave them in the chat and we’re on the halfway point we’ll try to get to them um so folks again you have questions leave them in the chat
We’ll go over that in just a bit but first let’s go over a couple more stories um one update actually is that project veritas this guerrilla journalist organization whatever you want to call it they specialize in investigative journalism specifically as they get whistleblowers often times to record surreptitiously
Or to you know record audio or videos surreptitiously in order to get people to admit things directly on record they did this during the elections uh they did this to many news organizations they’ve done this to government officials it they’ve they’ve done a lot of it it’s now technically under
The there’s no real laws dictating what journalists can or can’t do in a lot of ways but journalists do have a code of ethics right the code of ethics for journalists and technically under the code of ethics for journalists surreptitious recording which is what this would fall under is allowed under
Very specific circumstances uh surreptitious recording is basically when you record without someone’s knowledge now there are laws in some states that prevent that you have to have permission sometimes sometimes you don’t but technically what they’re doing under certain conditions is not technically outside the boundaries of legitimate journalism it’s within it
And it’s interesting to see now that project veritas is kind of stepping across partisan lines now because they’re oftentimes seen as more of a you know conservative i’d say outlet but then now they’re going after fox news now epic times reports local fox news reporter says network is muzzling her and she
Said this on air and she said she’s going to project veritas for the story now it says here a fox affiliate station reporter ivory hecker went off script during a weather segment on monday saying she is being allegedly allegedly muzzled by fox news and threatened to send secret recordings to project veritas
Hecker did not go into the specifics about her recordings during the broadcast but she said quote i want to let you the viewers know fox corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you the viewer she continued stating and from what and from what i’m gathering i am not the
Only reporter being subjected to this i’m going to be releasing some recordings about what goes on behind the scenes at fox because it applies to you the viewers i found a non-profit journalism group called project veritas it’s going to help put a put that out tomorrow so stay tuned
Now we’ll have to see what she comes out with fox news has come out and basically said that she’s just a disgruntled journalist disgruntled employee and she’s taking things off the con context that so that’s a suggestion black this comes out from it uh because project veritas tends to include large
Enough segments when they do quote people that you can typically see the context of what they’re saying uh meaning that by doing this they tend to show a long enough segment so that you can’t really take things out of context of course we’ll see what comes up from it
And you can you know be the judge as yourself of uh whatever whether it’s a big deal or not and how reliable that is but this is an interesting phenomenon again folks because i i would say project veritas in some regards is representative of the more conservative side of the united states
Which is not technically partisan in other words not technically part of the republican party democrat party dichotomy they tend to be more i’d say value based but it also is significant as as it relates to the trump movement within the republican party which is really technically technically again
In the original state not really democrat or republican remember trump used to be a democrat and trump was almost pushed out by the republicans as well remember they almost didn’t let him run as the forerunner and you know he said that he might consider running as an independent back
In 2016 when he was elected right now on that note trump and the movement behind him is technically more like the anti-establishment party they’re more like anti-establishment right what was trump’s what was trump’s statement it was uh drain the swamp right drain the swamp and as a lot of people interpret it
That’s not necessarily something that’s right or left it’s not necessarily right or left and so folks this is important i think significant going forward because you’re seeing really even among conservatives even among people who do vote republican i would say that there is a push back against the establishment even within the republican
Party and again even trump’s kind of battles within the republican party even the way that he’s challenging some of the uh folks that they’re trying to put forward even the way that he’s challenging their pacs right their political action committees there is this kind of break or i would say
Shift that’s taking place within the republican side of politics in the united states and it’s becoming again more of an anti-establishment system that specifically is looking at more of a traditional viewpoint on the united states and i would say this should be seen in context as well with what’s happening in texas again
Governor greg abbott stepping forward and saying that they’re going to again start acting out their sovereignty protected within the constitution a constitutional approach and by again these two counties in nevada this should all be interpreted i think in context of this this standing up of this new party that
Doesn’t really have a name in the united states acting under the banner of the republican party which is different than it used to be right there was a lot of rhinos people calling republicans name only who kind of left the party or switched sides and so on
But this is going to be another big element going into 2022 with the again midterm elections so we’ll keep an eye on this folks all right uh one more note on this then we’ll go into some questions now i don’t know about you all folks but uh when i was a kid
I’m not that old i guess but when i was a kid folks you know we still had prayer in schools you still prayed in schools this was this was part of the united states you had prayer in schools you still said the pledge of allegiance these things were kind of normal practice
In the united states um now this was done away with in the united states they got rid of this but it’s now coming back at least in florida to an extent and we see here epic times reports florida governor greg desantis um sorry ron desantis signed a bill
Requiring a minute of silence in all public schools and students can choose how they use that moment of silence whether it’s for prayer whether it’s for taking a nap anything they would like it says here florida governor ron desantis on monday signed a bill requiring teachers in k to 12
That’s kindergarten through high school 12th grade first period classes when you start school to provide between one and two minutes of silence which will allow students to pray if they want the republican governor explained that many of the founding fathers who helped create the country’s system of government
Wouldn’t agree with the notion that you can just push god out of every institution and be successful and desantis said i’m sorry our founding fathers did not believe that and again he was speaking at a site the signing event for this in bal harbor the bill hb 529 requires
The principles that public schools to require again certain teachers to take a moment of silence first period when you start school each day a moment of silence at the start of each day in public schools and the bill also bans teachers from making suggestions as to the nature of any reflection that
A student may engage in during the moment of silence they can’t say let’s take a moment of silence for this political issue let’s take a moment of silence for this particular religion they give them a moment of silence they can use it for what they want now this is again interesting
Technically again in the united states the idea of separation in church and state was not written in the constitution this is technically not part of the american system um separation of church and state was in the soviet union’s constitution but not in the united states constitution
And this was actually a new addition uh interpreted really within the last 50 years in the united states this is something new technically again folks there is no separation of church and state in the united states this was never written into law this was never in the constitution
That is specifically something that was in the soviet constitution and the sighting of the idea of separation in church and state is limited only to a letter from thomas jefferson who spoke about this it was not written and so again here we see a local governor uh really returning
To the original interpretation of the constitution again folks states three two states now in a couple counties are making this shift closer and closer we see this happening in other areas as well with for example gun sanctuary cities gun sanctuary states again states saying they’re going to uphold the constitution
And your rights defined within the constitution laid out in it that cannot be infringed by the federal government or by any government for that matter really making sure these things are being upheld this is a phenomenon to watch folks because this is something we see spreading this is something we see
Happening across the united states now this is becoming a trend and something again very important to watch very important to watch folks all right that said let’s jump into some questions for the night again folks if you have questions leave them in the chat and after this we’re
Going to jump over to epoch tv so stay tuned for that and folks again if you want to support crossroads please check out epoch tv that’s epochtv.com forward slash crossroads you can find a link on the screen i can also find it in the chat and in the description below
Again folks we’re totally demonetized by youtube it’s you know censored as well and so this is really the way forward for us it’s a way for us to really have you know maintain our standards of honest news being able to really tell you to tell you the stories as they are not having
To worry about algorithms not having to worry about censorship protocols and so on uh folks we hope this will be the future of video news so please again check out the link i will show you a quick preview of what we’re working on over there as well before we jump into the questions
Jump into that now racism was dying up until president obama was elected and you may remember all the articles about us being a post-racial society because we were making so much progress the political left and those that benefited by racism and keeping us divided they had to act it’s never realistic
Today’s youth minorities they’re spoiled in so many ways they have so many opportunities but they’re crippled in their minds because they’ve been told by the political left what you can’t do they are being handicapped they’re not even being held to the same standards that people of my generation were held to at
Colleges and universities and i would say that the racism that comes from the political left is forcing a re-segregation and a lower standard for racial and ethnic minorities and it’s not allowing people to develop to that fullest potential all right again that is epochtv.com forward slash crossroads and again folks that’s where
You know future video journalism uh you can find all of our interviews there our special features are working are going to be there and again folks we’re going to go over some of the uh you know last topics of this episode over there as well after we’re done with questions we’ll
Jump over there for to talk about election integrity so what’s happening some of you are asking what’s the update in arizona jim flynn you asked this quick update we’ll do the full updates on epoch tv but right now there’s an arizona senator saying state lawmakers are prepared to act
On findings from the election audit happening in arizona meaning that they’re about to conclude by the end of the month they’re going to conclude their investigations some of it at least they might extend it but they are moving on it and they’re prepared to act on their findings we’ll have to see what
They mean by acting on their findings also in arizona attorney general is telling the department of justice the federal government that he will not tolerate efforts from the federal government to thwart election audit now taking place in maricopa county uh they’re concerned that the federal government is basically trying to
Interfere with local elections or the local election investigation and again in the united states the federal government is not allowed to do that the election process defined by the constitution the founding fathers set forth right the defined by the constitution elections are the our elections are handled again by the state legislatures
The federal government is constitutionally not allowed to get involved in that and so you do see the department of justice federal government trying to get involved in that which arguably violates the constitution again we’ll have to see if it ever goes to court maybe maybe the supreme court would determine otherwise but
Most people would agree i’d say in terms of constitutional experts that the federal government doesn’t have that jurisdiction all right folks go over a few more questions for the night um this is from george cox 58 he said did epoch times cover the flag officer’s letter and if not why
You have to forgive me i’m not sure i saw the story on that i will make a note of it though thank you maybe we did um we can’t have a lot of content so i can’t always keep up with all the stuff we’re covering um let’s see another question here this is
From blued one you said it was epoch down last night yes apparently it was i’m not sure what exactly happened uh actually folks we are kind of public enemy number one from the chinese communist party they tend to hate our guts and so they very often do try to attack our web servers
We’ve actually documented a lot of the the cyber attacks we’ve had from china we’ve even worked with some cyber security firms which have you know monitored some of these cyber attacks and we’ve even documented some of them proving that they come from china um epoch times is kind of again public
Enemy number one for the chinese communist party they really don’t like us but on that note too we’ll probably have some of the best cyber security folks you’ll find working for us because they get daily practice dealing with attacks like this and it’s rare that they’re able to actually
Impact our services in terms of you know shutting down the website or something like that but yes our site did go down last night not sure the cause of it yet but uh we can see what information comes up from it this is from this is from seymour butts
You said i really like these chats uh with cash and trevor would he said i really like these chats wish cash and trevor would do one yeah you know we can try to we can you ask them keep asking them maybe they’ll agree to it that’s cash patel
And trevor loudon they also do shows on epoch tv um actually if you check out the well the what we have right here as a matter of fact right um cash patel has a show with yanya kelik on epoch tv and trevor lowden does a show called counter punch
Both of them are fantastic it’d be great if they did live q and a’s maybe you folks can leave that in the chat more often for them and maybe they’ll agree to do it um and i know folks it’s actually funny i’ve been talking about why lives like this are interesting and
I think i think the reason is because i think media these days become too fake and it’s actually funny i know i’ve of course i’ve done a lot of local reporting and i’ve been a cyber security reporter a nation reporter and of course my main role is investigative
Journalism and i do meet other journalists you’ll actually find on the field that some reporters like even like new york times they are asked to record using their cell phones there’s an interesting phenomenon where people tend to like lower quality video for some reason and the only thing
I can think of is that the world these days when it comes to news is just too fake i think things are too fake these days and i think having formats where people can just talk frankly and be honest and straightforward and you can be a judge of the integrity of
What’s being said uh i i would hope this will be a trend in news i i hope that this becomes one of the new standards of news and um i think you folks are all showing that that’s something people want as well remember going back to 2016 ahead of trump getting elected president
Remember what happened remember and seems like a lifetime ago and it’s easy to forget trends that existed at that time when they’re no longer around but do you remember what youtube was like in 2015 2016. it was actually the case that really conservative and yes some technically i guess you could say alt-right
Commentators and youtubers were the most popular folks on youtube really some of the most popular channels were of this type now youtube demonetized to platform got rid of almost all of them really think back folks how many of you folks here used to watch shows on youtube that are no longer around
Right think about that how many folks have you seen that you used to watch who’ve gotten to platform either from youtube from twitter from facebook how many have you been part of facebook groups or other groups that have gotten the platform how many of you personally have been censored or shadow banned
Right this has been a trend and it’s because again there was i think a shift taking place in journalism there was a shift taking place in the way that people get their news and it’s one that i think just involves being a lot more straightforward it’s one that i think involves being a
Lot more honest and i i do hope this is let’s say a trend in journalism that that stays alive uh we’ll have to see right uh this is from ck he said josh what drink sacrifice did you need to make in the hotel tonight or did you bring your own tea
Those of you curious the drink tonight is water because i do i don’t have a water boiler here i wonder if i should start traveling with one unless i drink like cold brew black tea or something i don’t know yeah drink tonight’s water um this is from atlantic res
You said hey i just read from your news headline now that the chinese military fleets of jets entered taiwan uh can you be more specific please uh yes folks technically the the jets entered taiwanese airspace they’re not invading taiwan uh but taiwan has reported the largest incursion yet by the chinese air force
Now the ccp the chinese communist party has become a lot more aggressive with incursions like this and with threats against taiwan now a brief brief brief history too deep into it now the island of formosa south of china south of the chinese mainland is where taiwan is taiwan used to be
Recognized as the government in exile of china the chinese communist party used to be seen as the unofficial you know got its power through military coup government technically taiwan was the official government of china even after the chinese communist party took power because of this and because the ccp doesn’t really it
Knows it’s not legitimate um in china they talk about the mandate of heaven that you haven’t you have real authority that you have you know i guess in the us you’d say the will of the people or something like this technically the chinese communist party is the illegitimate government of china
Technically taiwan would be the legitimate government of china it used to be recognized as such by both the united states and the united nations now that changed over the course of time past you know over the course of the past few decades but the ccp still views taiwan as a
Threat to its power because the ccp can talk about how the chinese people need you know totalitarian communism because how else can you manage this many people and so on and they can say there be no new china without the chinese communist party and they they try to take credit for you know
Basically the same types of technological developments took place in every part of the world over the last hundred years right that’s what they do but the chinese people can say think that and they look they look right across the taiwan strait at taiwan which is the same people they are
Chinese people and i know taiwanese something like to think of themselves as chinese also maori people right the natives of taiwan and they can see people who’ve created a very successful very well functioning very modern very technologically advanced country that is very stable and has a very good
Government and a very good culture and they can look across that taiwan straight and see this is what we could be and that is an ongoing threat every single day for the chinese communist party and so yes they become a lot more aggressive towards taiwan because of this
Um let’s see what happens with it now there have been some some talk about china talking about actually invading taiwan and trying to retake them or take them just like they did with hong kong not too long ago there’s been different assessments on how that battle would look including assessments war games saying
That america would lose a lot of folks including myself don’t think those war game analysis would be accurate there’s been a lot of other analysis saying taiwan even by itself could give the chinese communist party a pretty serious run for its money and we’ll have to see what happens with
This whether the international community really continues to stand by taiwan uh the by administration in the united states does appear to be standing by taiwan still and we’ll have to see how things go forward if what the ccp fears most i think it won’t it’s what a lot of people would say
It’s how it is what the ccp fears most with taiwan is taiwan again becoming recognized diplomatically as its own country and taiwan is its own country but becoming recognized internationally diplomatically as again an official government because if taiwan is viewed as official that again is a threat to the ccp
Because taiwan was the official government of china and the chinese communist party was the unofficial government of china they do not like that um keep you all updated on as we go forward folks that said i want to go what’s happening with the elections but for this segment folks
