It’s bad enough that Vice President Kamala Harris, trying to look presidential, announced that the federal government would give victims of Hurricane Helena a whole $750.
But adding insult to injury is what every citizen of Ukraine has received in federal aid since 2022: almost $5,000, nearly six times what the needy Americans who have lost everything will receive. And pursuant to a recent aid package for Israel, per capita aid there for 2024 alone is nearly $3,000.
But total aid to those countries plus what the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) has wasted on illegal aliens yields an even more sobering figure. The government will spend more than 10,000 times on those three items than its announced figure for hurricane victims.
And worse still, X owner Elon Musk has reported, FEMA is blocking his people from delivering Starlink terminals and other supplies to the victims.
Americans Crushed, Ukraine Awash in U.S. Tax Dollars
In what the Biden-Harris administration actually thought was a big help, Harris showed up in Augusta, Georgia, yesterday to inspect the damage.
The “assistance that we have been providing,” Harris said to richly deserved fury and ridicule, “has included FEMA providing $750 for folks who need immediate needs being met such as food baby formula and the like.”
At its website, the Federal Emergency Management Administration bragged that it would spend “more than $20 million” to help survivors:
More than 5,000 personnel from across the federal workforce are deployed, including more than 1,500 from FEMA. To date, FEMA has shipped over 9.3 million meals, more than 11.2 million liters of water, 150 generators and more than 260,000 tarps to the region.
Understandably, fury ensued, notably with social media memes contrasting what American citizens have received versus Ukraine for its war with Russia.
Since 2022, the latest update from the Council on Foreign Relations reported, Ukraine has received $175 billion in U.S. aid, with $106 billion of that total going to the corrupt regime of Voldomyr Zelensky, now ruling as an unelected “leader” since he canceled elections that were scheduled for March. A “small portion,” CFR reported, goes to other nations, but all the money benefits 38 million Ukrainians.
Per capita, each Ukrainian has received the equivalent of $4,605 from American taxpayers, including those wiped out by the hurricane.
No wonder the satirical Babylon Bee offered this take: “North Carolina Asks Zelensky For $100 Billion In U.S. Funding.”
Israel, Illegals
In April, President Biden signed a $95 billion foreign aid package that included $26 billion for Israel. Israel’s population is about 9.6 million. Per capita take: $2,708.
Another way to look at the aid: In two years, Ukraine has received 8,750 times the total FEMA announced. This year alone, Israel will receive 1,300 times that figure.
As The New American reported earlier this week, citing America First Legal, FEMA has wasted $1 billion to handle Biden’s illegal-alien invasion.
“Over the last 4 years the Biden-Harris admin has steadily transformed FEMA — the agency responsible for responding to natural disasters like Hurricane Helene — into an illegal alien resettlement agency that emphasizes DEI over public safety,” the organization reported.
Such is the waste that FEMA ran out of money to help hurricane victims. (Though that too, as well as the agency itself, is unconstitutional.)
Total spent on Ukraine, Israel, and illegal aliens in this instance: $202 billion — 10,100 times FEMA’s figure for hurricane victims.
Relief Efforts Blocked, Money Wasted
Meanwhile, X and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has reported on X that FEMA is blocking his effort to help the hurricane victims:
SpaceX engineers are trying to deliver Starlink terminals & supplies to devastated areas in North Carolina right now and @FEMA is both failing to help AND won’t let others help. This is unconscionable!!
They just took this video a few hours ago, where you can see the level of devastation: roads, houses, electricity, water supply and ground Internet connections completely destroyed.
@FEMA wouldn’t let them land to deliver critical supplies … my blood is boiling …
Commentator Collin Rugg elaborated, writing that “FEMA is blocking & seizing shipments, including Starlink, in NC as business leaders & locals are trying to save Hurricane Helene victims.”
He continued:
Musk source: FEMA is actively blocking shipments & seizing goods & services locally & locking them away to state they are their own.
Volunteer: FEMA said they “are too tied up at the border to send more representatives” to North Carolina.
Musk source 2: They are now about to shut down the Air space to ‘regulate’ the private choppers we are riding in to deliver Starlink and supplies.
We spoke with Ivanka [Trump] and handed out Starlinks with her yesterday but FEMA then showed up and started blocking us.
FEMA whistleblowers: FEMA has wasted taxpayer funds, misappropriated funds, and left other federal, state, and local responders without deployment orders on the ground.
Starlink is a Space X subsidiary that provides satellite internet connections for “remote and rural locations across the globe.”
