folks Donald J Trump is again the winner of the elections he’s going to be the 47th and 45th president of the United States and now we’re looking at some of the possible policies he’s going to be rolling out uh there are a lot of issues he’s going to be tackling one of the biggest ones day one he’s saying is going to be illegal immigration and one big policy he’s looking at specifically on that is to change Birthright citizenship where a person is granted citizenship in the United States if they born in the country even if both parents are here illegally so illegal immigrants can come here have a child or even just the mother the kid is an American now and forever uh Trump previously announced a day one policy to end this practice and it’s actually not just Birthright citizenship Trump also ran on the campaign promise of mass deportations be talking about his alleged plan for executing mass deportations today as well I’m curious in the comments what you think about this uh polling suggests that it’s not as divisive as people may think it is uh Republicans and even a lot of Democrats seem to be on board with it although it’s split on kind of on both sides I’m curious folks uh where do you stand on this let me know but that said let’s dive into today’s episode because well President elect Donald Trump right he ran on the platform of fixing illegal immigration in America one of his first appointees is now done is the borders are suggesting this is a day one number one policy for him and one way he plans on doing this is by ending Birthright citizenship now again currently under us law a person is granted US citizenship if they’re just born here you can have both parents are illegal immigrants maybe your parents were on vacation and you were born in an American Hospital you are an American Trump is arguing this creates an incentive for illegal immigration or for people just to travel to the US from other countries when a woman is pregnant or whatever else and game the system basically if the child can then be born in American soil it opens the door for other things including social benefits welfare and the whole 9 yards and of course chain migration where the parents stay here they can bring in their relatives and they move the whole family now Trump posted an announcement on Truth social about this back in May of 201 23 saying that he will end this policy through executive order on day one of his administration watch under Biden’s current policies even though these millions of illegal border crossers have entered the country unlawfully all of their future children will become automatic US citizens can you imagine they’ll be eligible for welfare taxpayer funded Health Care the right to vote chain migration and countless other government benefits many of which will also profit the illegal alien parents this policy is a reward for breaking the laws of the United States and is obviously a magnet helping draw the flood of illegals across our borders they come by the millions and millions and millions as part of my plan to secure the border on day one of my new term in office I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law going forward the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic US citizenship Trump says this policy will choke off a major incentive for illegal immigration and will also deter people who might try to you know want to illegally immigrate maybe make them not want to do it right he says that under this executive order kids will still become US citizens at Birth if at least one of their parents is also a US citizen that’s how you become a citizen of the United States those of you curious this is actually the standard for most countries on Earth America is one of the only countries that will give you citizenship if you just happen to be born here this is not common among any country uh America is is an exception to this globally now look remember this would be an executive order though all right Trump saying executive order day one it technically would not go through Congress to become legislation which make it a lot more solid uh technically an executive order can be overturned by any future president all they have to do is come in basically sign a paper and it’s gone uh that means that unless there’s a legal review and Supreme Court makes a ruling on this or unless Congress follows this with with legislation it’s probably not going to stick past the Trump Administration and that of course means that we’ll have to see whether there’s any push back on it because ironic Al if there is legal push back if organizations make lawsuits they sue they’re ironically going to push it to the Supreme Court uh if they want to wait four years technically it can just vanish if they happen to get someone in who doesn’t like it now that said though this of course will likely start a very long legal process as well uh you can expect many groups and remember not all this is just political just be one individual born here and says what do you mean I’m not a citizen although wait till they’re older uh to challenge it right especially because right now it’s based on a supreme court interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution Birthright citizenship in the United States technically goes back to around 1898 now the case at the time that was United States V Kim Wong Arc it was a case in San Francisco of a 20-year-old man he was born in the United States his parents were Chinese citizens under the emperor of China but we’re living in the United States now the case started because the man Mr Wong Kim Arc he had gone on a trip to China and when he tried coming back to the United States they denied him entry because they said he was not a US citizen he’s like what do you mean I’ve been here for 20 years now that went to court he filed a lawsuit the case on that is what was used to establish Birthright citizenship let me show you what the actual Court Document stated way back in March of 1998 it said quote a child born in the United States of parents of Chinese descent who at the time of his birth are subjects of the emperor of China but have a permanent domicile in the in residence in the United States and are there carrying on business and are not employed in any diplomatic or official capacity under the emperor of China become at the time of his birth a citizen a citizen of the United States by virtue of the first Clause of the 14th Amendment of the con Constitution now again Birthright citizenship was not part of the original ideas of the United States that came in through the 14th Amendment an interpretation of it more importantly now that had been added to the Constitution just a few decades prior to that again that was July 1868 and of course the 14th amendment was there to bring an end to slavery right uh because one of the arguments some people were making against right the ending of of slavery is he said well these are citizens of Africa not the United States and so the 14th Amendment clarified that and said no these are American citizens they’re free and they’re American citizens now section one of the 14th amendment that was what was used as the basis for for citizenship at Birth let me show what that says it says Congress says quote all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and the state wherein they reside no State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the Privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States nor shall any state deprive any person of life liberty or property without due process of law nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws now a lot of that could be interpreted to go after a lot of things but on this issue in particular right changing Birthright citizens ship it may not be that easy uh again because using an executive order to change an interpretation of the Constitution it’s been in place right again since the late 1800s uh that could be a bit of a challenge but remember we’re seeing executive orders on other constitutional issues right uh it’s not that uncommon to see executive orders or even State actions against things that constitutionally we would normally consider to be protected like free speech for example in the United States we have very broad protection on Free Speech some of that is now illegal especially under like hate speech laws and gun laws is another great example of this where under the Constitution we have almost like free reign if you read it by the word uh but in terms of interpretation at State levels especially um you know gun laws are pretty deeply restricted so again it is possible that even if the surface reading of the Constitution can be one way it can be interpreted another way and it is because of this that you know this could be interpreted many ways especially because uh they could argue that the original interpretation of this that allowed for Birthright citizenship uh they could argue that it was not in context of the current problems we have of mass illegal immigration which has kind of changed the rules of the game uh there have also been a lot of attempts over the years to change the interpretation to end Birthright citizenship this is something that’s been ongoing for a very long time uh you know Congress just about every year they have at least one bill on it uh in fact they have several going through right now being proposed but for the most part really they tend to not get a whole lot of traction but the important part with that is that if Trump were to pass an executive order on this you would immediately see lawsuits you would immediately see probably Congress trying to move forward with bills it would begin both a legislative process and a legal process the legislative process could set it in law the legal process could move it eventually to the Supreme Court where it could be decided one way or the other and remember now with Republicans taking the Senate possibly taking the house based on current numbers it looks like they really might they only need four more seats uh they do have a shot at it and again not to mention that they technically also control the uh uh the Supreme Court now when it comes to birth citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants though now we don’t really know the numbers of how many people there are PE Research Center had some research on this going back to 2018 uh that was when Trump was also pushing to end Birthright citizenship during his first term this is what they said they said about 250,000 babies were born to unauthorized immigrant parents reading illegal immigrants in the United States in 2016 the latest year for which information is available we don’t really know after 2016 and that’s important say well a lot of the problems started after 2016 now they say this is according to a Pew Research Center analysis of government data they say this represents a 36% decrease from a peak of about 390,000 in 2007 and they know that overall around 5 million us-born children younger than 18 were living with at least one unauthorized immigrant parent in 2016 up from around 4.5 million in 2007 according to the new estimates now keep in mind the data is from 2016 so again that would mostly not cover the massive migrant Caravans we started seeing during the Trump Administration especially during like the second half uh it would also not include the mass mass illegal immigration right well over 10 million on a conservative estimate that we’ve seen over the last four years now it’s not clear what the current numbers are and even then there are a lot of debates on how accurate estimates are on the numbers of illegal immigrants in the United States just in general and keep in mind this is not the numbers for illegal immigrants we’re talking about here this is the number of kids they have once they come here who then become citizens by virtue of being born here now my personal take on this look I mean I have I literally have family members you know through marriage who are Birthright citizens right uh their parents came here illegally they were born here and I know they would argue like well what did I do I mean it wasn’t my fault I didn’t illegally immigrate here I was you know born here uh the people I know personally about as American as they come I know actually quite a few people like this um at the same time though on the other side I’m very much aware there are people who exploit this as a loophole there are even so-called maternity hospitals that set it up as a business people set these up and they facilitate women to give birth in the United States and they do this so they can gain the immigration laws the federal agents actually right they actually you might remember raided and shut down a network of 20 of these places in California back in 2015 and right afterwards they said it was an ongoing problem even raiding them did not end them this is a business for some people now I think the issue that’s happening right now right uh you have it’s going to be what you have with any kind of issue with lack standards like this first of all most countries do not allow this America is a very unique exception on letting people become citizens just if they’re born here you’re not going to find that in most countries even the most on the surface benevolent happy go-lucky you know welcome everyone in country on Earth it’s not easy to become a citizen of many countries America is very very open on this despite the criticism against it and so this is not the global Norm by any means America is an accept and part of the reason for that is this right um you know there will be plenty of good cases like the people I know personally right uh people say well it’s not my fault I was born here what do you want me to do I’m not I’m not from that country right uh but of course the other argument is if the kids don’t get granted citizenship it might deter the parents from wanting to come here in the first place because they don’t want to do that to their kids the crime then is on the parents it’s the same argument of saying well sorry your dad has to go to prison cuz he murdered somebody well the kid suffers for it obviously right the kid suffers because they lose their father what did the kid do to deserve that but again crime has punishment and if somebody’s violating the law you have to hold them accountable for it two wrongs don’t make a right in other words and the argument on the other side is well if you allow this to happen you essentially legalize the crime uh because again of chain migration and you also let them get various social benefits right and it’s because of that that you have people who exploit it with anything you’re going to have people who don’t intentionally use it people just travel here people born here whatever else but you also are going to have people who exploit it and because people exploit it that’s why it’s not legal in most parts of the world now the issue we’re having now is kind of the factor that’s pushing it to the brink right Mass illegal immigration and there are concerns that this could alter the fact fabric of the country and that’s that’s what a lot of people believe it’s being done for in fact uh even if you don’t believe that’s the intent that probably will be the effect if you bring in 10 million or 20 million people start a pathway to citizenship for them offer them various incentives on one side of the political aisle then add chain migration to the mix where they can bring in all their family members as soon as they get the right to vote you’re going to change the fabric of the country remember a lot of states are won by very narrow margins uh Georgia under Biden he won that state by 11,000 votes it does not take that many people to flip a state and so if one side incentivizes it one side pays for it one side gives the welfare one side offers this and says the other side’s going to deport you who are you going to vote for now we heard this mentioned by Joe Rogan also in his interview with Senator John fedman recently and Joe Rogan at least believes this to be the intent he kind of pressed Federman on it and fedman was like yeah you know I guess kind of right um but really it was kind of Joe pushing that a little bit right uh and the idea was that this is being made to flood swing states with new voters and then flip the states politically that is the concern at least among Republicans and if that does happen and you could argue it’ll probably happen even if you don’t believe that’s the intent that would change the entire country within one generation now this is a concern that people have and a lot of that is going to come down to the question of citizenship right can these individuals become citizens can their kids become citizens because look this isn’t a threat to the election systems if their kids can’t become citizens if you bring in 10 million 20 million 30 million people and they again are here and then they have kids here and the kids aren’t citizens they’re not going to vote they’re not going to vote their kids are not going to vote their kids kids are not going to vote unless they marry American citizens and because of that they will not affect the elections that is the concern with it and that’s one of the reasons why this is being made a a real priority um because again as soon as they have Birthright citizenship the Voting Rights go with it that is why this is becoming such a big concern on the side of the Republicans now like when it comes to the topic of broader illegal immigration though Trump is saying he has other policies in store and that includes right what he also said would be a day one policy to carry out mass deportations now as a legal pathway for that Trump would invoke the alien enemies Act of 1798 and it’s interesting because we’re seeing a lot of very old laws come up now uh the alien enemies Act of 1798 is very very legally sound and that’s because it’s been in place almost since the founding of the United States uh that was put in place literally just a couple decades after the founding of the country it includes notably a wartime component legally that’s going to be the Battleground I’ll explain uh but it could potentially also let a president carry out mass deportations in peace time as well and my personal analysis that element of it is going to be where the legal challenges are whether it requires an act of war or not now here’s the caveat uh if a foreign government threatens or undertakes an invasion or predatory incursion against of any part of the United States technically it says the president of the United States can respond to that by deporting all the all the people of that country basically uh and so although part of it does does require a declaration of war which would require Congress the other side of it suggests that a president can say we are being invaded by this country and that country uh we are being victims of a predatory incursion where countries are sending people here in intentionally um and then of course based on that they could Deport them what have Trump’s narratives been we’re being invaded that is The Invasion Clause what is Trump’s other statement they’re sending their uh prisoners is here they’re emptying their Mental Hospitals Trump by stating that this is where the legal language is important by stating that Trump is suggesting that he has a belief as now the president elect that we are victims of a predatory incursion so in other words Trump is setting up the legal basis by stating that to invoke the alien enemies act in which he said he will invoke by the way uh the other part of declaring an invasion or predatory incursion though again the president technically based on a lot of historical interpretation he would not need to go to Congress to invoke this he would not need a declaration of war from Congress this could potentially give Donald Trump himself as president a direct path to make a declaration invoke this and Carry Out Mass deportations uh notably the alien enemies Act was invoked several times through US History uh including notably against German against Japanese again you know when we were at war with them and um and a couple other times as well and so this does have some historical precedence now some people would argue well technically that was during World War II there was a declaration of war yeah but they kept it in place afterwards and so that’s the that’s the legal loophole with it uh when the when the declaration of war had ended it was still in place actually now we could assume regardless it’s going to face legal challenges uh if Trump does invoke it and again whether or not you need a declaration of war is very likely going to be where the legal challenges happen now on that note The Wall Street Journal recently alleged that people close to Trump are actually looking for methods already to carry this out Wall Street Journal said this they said advisors to president elect Donald Trump are drawing up plans to carry out his Mass deportation pledge including discussions on how to pay pay for it and weighing a National Emergency declaration that would allow the incoming Administration to repurpose military assets to detain and remove migrants re illegal immigrants invoking again something that would let him use the military for that remember Lloyd Austin is currently the head of the US military he has to answer to the commander-in-chief which will be Trump Lloyd Austin has said publicly that he will carry out any lawful order of the president suggesting that if Trump doesn’t remove him which he probably will frankly um that if Trump does not remove him once he comes into office that Lloyd Austin will carry it out um but again the cat here is he says he will carry out any legal legally you right any legal order and if Lloyd Austin believes this is not legal he might not carry it out and the issue you’re going to have here is it’s legally questionable because there are legal arguments now the they say here Wall Street Journal the behind the scenes discussions which started months before the election had picked up in the days since Trump’s Victory include policy changes required to increase deportations according to people working on the presidential transition members of Congress and others close to the president elect that’s important because the alien enemies act would be through the president the alien enemies act may not be all they do it might be the case that he invokes many other things alongside it and those would need the other assets and other people involved to help invoke it now on this note Trump also spoke with NBC about this recently and when he was pressed on this Trump said it’s not a question of a price tag he said quote really we have no choice and notes that you know when people have been killed and murdered he said when drug lords have destroyed countries and now they’re going to come going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here there is no price tag that’s what Trump said to NBC now some people would argue well gez a lot of these people are fleeing gangs and fleeing cartels and fleeing violence another policy Trump is saying that’s going to be day one for him and I’ll have to go into this in a future episode because that deserves a whole thing in and of itself is Trump is saying he’s going to declare war on the cartels he’s going to be using Special Forces to Target them he’s going to set up a naval blockade to block all drugs from entering the United States he’s going to be targeting them within the United States he wants to have the death penalty for all of them and he said that he wants the cooperation of other countries in any country that does not cooperate with the United States and going after the cartels he said publicly that he will expose all the backro deals where these governments have been bought off by the cartels so Trump’s the threatening to expose the national connections to cartels among among any country that tries pushing back against this policy uh meaning of course that when you’re deporting people and the issue they’re going to face because a lot of them had to pay human traffickers as those human traffickers might kill them for not paying off their debts uh this will actually put a Target on the heads of the human traffickers many of whom are tied to the cartels and so that problem may be alleviated as well and actually on that note too the thing the element that made a lot of these people leave their country in the first place would also be eliminated uh the cartels right if Trump is targeting them like they’re terrorists which he says he will do now look aside from this though Trump is also saying that deporting illegal immigrants will be necessary and we’re already now seeing some of the push back against this I’ll be talking about some of the push back after go back from a quick break Donald Trump is saying that it will be necessary to deport all legal immigrants from the United States once he takes office now based on this because he’s now the president-elect he’s going to be 45th and 47th president we are already now seeing some of the push back on this some of the groups com out to protest and other things of that sort uh the guardian said this the guardian said thousands of people in major cities including New York City and Seattle demonstrated against the former president and now president-elect and his threats against reprodu rights abortion they mean and pledges to carry out mass deportations at the start of his upcoming presidency they note that in New York City on Saturday demonstrators from advocacy groups focused on workers rights that’s going to be an important note here advocacy groups focused on workers rights and immigrant Justice crowded outside Trump International Hotel and Tower on Fifth Avenue holding signs that read quote we protect us and Mr Trump how long must women wait for Liberty others held signs that read we won’t back down while chanting quote we uh here we are and we’re not leaving a lot of those were the illegal immigrants now similar protest to this that took place in Washington DC it says where Women’s March participants demonstrated outside the Heritage Foundation that’s the right-wing Think Tank they said behind uh project 2025 which Trump says he never read but which got pinned on him it notes as well that crowds of demonstrators also gathered outside Seattle’s Space Needle on Saturday and it says quote March and rally to protest Trump in the two-party War Machine suggesting they’re against both Democrats and Republicans right the two-party War Machine uh posters for them said and adds quote build the people’s movement and fight War repression and genocide now look I I’ve seen how this has been framed personally I’d say the keywords here are important uh these groups are talking about they advocacy groups focused on workers rights normally that would mean the Socialist groups in terms of like journalist speech that means they’re socialist groups usually or Marxist uh slogans like the people’s movement again these are not Grassroots movements these are again organizations very likely pushing for socialist or communist ideas uh it looked like it was some of the same groups involved with like BLM demonstrations the pro aaza demonstrations uh it looked like it was mostly those groups uh for those of you not familiar with this there are networks of socialist and communist organizations in the United States they what they tend to do is whenever there’s a popular movement they’ll register different front groups that will be subparts of the main group uh so you have the Communist group they’ll register a social movement group they’re still under it uh but that so social movement group will then organize the community so to speak around that social issue and they just hold protests like this it was the same groups that were pushing for BLM I know a lot of people were legitimately protesting for you know um black lives matter but there were Marxist groups behind it that were pulling the strings on a lot of it those same groups are the ones behind the Gaza protest especially the ones at the college campuses they were the same ones behind a lot of things uh interestingly you’ll note some of the wording here as well but they’re saying that they oppose the two-party War Machine ironically a lot of those communist and socialist groups are kind of breaking from the Democrats now which might be a good development for the Democrats actually I I think actually it is a very positive one uh in fact even one of the AIDS of Hillary Clinton came out and recently said that the party has been captured by the far-left these extremists were the ones pushing a lot of the policies that were just too far not even for Republicans for even for a lot of moderate Democrats and the concern a lot of them had was well if you push out these groups they’re going to lose uh the concern was they were going to fracture their party they wouldn’t get enough votes anymore not to mention these groups happen to be the on the ground protesters and the get out the vote people and so on uh it seems they’ve now broken from that the question was going to be well are they now just opposed to the Democrats or will they oppose Trump as well it looks like they’re going to oppose Trump as well and so they’re coming out now both against Trump and against the incumbent Democrat Party under Biden um it looked like there were also other groups that had joined in though I did not get the sense looking at some of the videos that all of them were those types uh there were some posts I saw saying that it was all illegal immigrants protesting that was not the case that that was people kind of taking it to an extreme uh there definitely were some illegal immigrants there and illegal immigrant groups at least based on their signage uh and there were also some organizations particularly on that but they were not the only ones it was a mix of organizations and some of the organizations looked like the same ones we’ve seen over and over again these groups are like professional protesters they just do this all the time this is how they operate now there are also groups now organizing as well to try to stop the mass deportations some of this is again on that Grassroots type level among I I don’t know if you even call them Grassroots the Socialist and communist factions uh trying to stop this there are also ones just going through normal legal advocacy groups trying to stop it as well ABC news said this they say now that Trump has won the election local immigrant Advocates they say they are already organizing and ready to push back uh it says that Advocates are scaling up their services focusing on legal consultation emotional support and emergency preparedness uh not as well you have groups like the ACLU coming out and saying that they’re going to be legally challenging a lot of the Trump policies as well you’re going to see the normal civil rights organizations become very active uh very likely and probably get a lot of donations as well uh We’ve also mentioned before though some states and state leaders are also now saying they’re going to come to the Forefront to try to stop Trump’s policies California in particular California governor Gavin Newsome he announced what he’s calling uh that he’s calling for State lawmakers to convene for a special session later this year and he said publicly the focus of this is going to be how to push back against the policies of the future Trump presidency this is the office of governor gavan newm in His official Declaration on this it says Governor gavan newm today issued a proclamation convening a special session of the California legislature to safeguard California values and F fundamental rights in the face of an incoming Trump Administration and let special session will focus on bolstering California legal resources to protect civil rights reproductive Freedom I.E abortion civil rights in this case very likely means more like Dei type policies uh they’re saying climate action the global warming agenda and also he says quote immigrant families uh they always say families I think that means illegal immigrants in general uh they’re going to be trying to stop they’re going to be taking actions try to stop Trump from enacting these policies in ways that will affect California now they say quote this is the first of several actions by the Newsome Administration in partnership with the legislature as the governor begins sh uh Shoring up California’s defenses against an incoming Federal Administration the Trump Administration that has threatened the state on multiple fronts now basically the announcement says the special session will also be quote bolstering legal defenses against Federal actions and Newsome is calling for State depart the the State’s Department of Justice and other state entities in California to use litigation lawsuits and so on to try to stop potential Trump policies that they argue may be unlawful now that’s going to be important because what happens if they file lawsuits on these things eventually those are going to have to go to the Supreme Court more quickly very likely because that’s not individual plaintiffs that’s going to be State against Federal and State against Federal is going to get fast-tracked much more quickly to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court happens to be mostly Republican L right now that being said though uh they’re also planning to defend against any federal lawsuits against the state as well because it’s very likely the lawsuits are going to be firing both ways Trump’s going to be trying to enact these policies deporting illegal immigrants the abortion thing is just a talking point because the interpretation of Ro v Wade now right kind of overturning it uh all it did was eliminated it as a federal policy and it put it to the states that doesn’t impact California whatever California wants to have that’s California law um unless in the future Trump says he’s going to enact something which he says he’s not going to do Trump’s statement on abortion has been it’s a issue not a federal issue and so it’s not going to impact California I think they’re using this just as a political talking point uh but what it will impact are the trans issues Trump is also saying he’s going to end the whole trans thing go after doctors that have been doing it to kids go after Educators who’ve been encouraging it possibly with legal charges making it so they can be sued or even sent to prison that that’s going to be another future episode which I want to go over uh because he’s saying he’s going to do that and he also wants to make a declaration at the federal level that there are only two G two genders only two genders recognized in the United States Trump is saying that will be a policy California probably push back against that uh they’ll probably push back against some of the Dei stuff where they have made like race training and race sensitivity training um a part of the government policy if you’re a government worker if you’re a police officer you have to sit through all these race and gender trainings and so on I’m in New York folks they make you do it in New York I’ve had to watch some of these also like it’s it’s New York law um that kind of stuff is what is going to be some of the initial targets and of course California is going to be looking alongside probably other Democrat Le States looking to ensure that Trump cannot or at least faces very difficult challenges uh when it comes to deporting illegal immigrants there’s going to be a huge battle around that although we’ll have to see how states can hold up if there’s a declaration of war or if Trump invokes the alien enemies act and uses the military because States cannot stop the military uh they cannot stop federal agents uh when it comes to that level of things the states the states don’t have as much rights as they would on other legal issues um ironically again this actually goes back to the Civil War this actually goes back to the ending of slavery and ironically like the 14th Amendment uh you know prior to the Civil War States had broad legal broad legal sovereignty in relation to the federal government and that was the argument they had with slavery they said well it’s a state rights issue how can the federal government tell the state what laws it can or can’t have and of course Civil War happened Abraham Lincoln won Republicans won the Civil War and they made Constitutional Amendments establishing that yeah States rights but there are limits to it and funny enough you know during the Biden Administration Republicans were the ones arguing for state rights let’s be honest right uh Florida Texas in particular were really fighting for state rights and trying to prevent some of the federal laws from entering the states this time around it’s going to be the Democrat States pushing back against it using that same argument state rights and talking about what they call federal government overreach a term that under Biden was deemed to be an extremist term but uh Democrats are going to probably use it this time around because that’s how our polit political system works folks now that said um on the other side of mass illegal immigration it isn’t just about the issue itself it’s not just about you know people coming here legally one of the other big issues right now is crime uh especially when it’s related to gangs and it seems actually the Biden Administration is also now going after one of the gangs at least that’s been making headlines and that is Tren de araga the Venezuelan gang that many would argue shouldn’t have been here in the first place this was just before the elections that they started doing this NBC news said this the Department of Homeland Security has identified more than 600 migrants read illegal immigrants in the US who may have connections to a notorious Venezuelan gang that is drawing concerns from local and federal law enforcement officials according to data obtained exclusively by NBC News it say roughly 100 of the 600 migrants DHS has deemed subjects of Interest were confirmed members of the gang whom the department recommended to be placed on an FBI watch list officials said it says the others could be found after a review to be victims Witnesses or members of the gang meaning they’re actually going after him now folks imagine 600 people out of like 10 million how much damage 600 people can cause or even like a 100 people uh this is one of the issues you have of course with gangs is you don’t need a lot of them to cause problem same thing with terrorists actually you can let in 10,000 people and if you get five terrorists those five terrorists mess it up for everybody you know um and that is the problem we have it doesn’t take a lot of bad people to cause a lot of harm especially when they’re not being treated with proper legal protections uh at least that I mean the victims are not being treated with proper legal protection against them we’re now seeing the bu Administration starting to go after these criminals and notes here that Homeland Security officials began working to compile the data on TDA Trend de aragua this spring after they saw a spike in crime by gang members in New York and other cities across the US and it’s that crimes tied to the gang include sex trafficking in Louisiana and The Point Blank Shooting of two New York City police officers there actually a lot more than not listing but those are just a couple and it’s say us IM ation and Customs Enforcement ice has arrested more than 100 people suspected of being associated with TDA in connection with crimes uh sorry Customs Enforcement right that’s different is ice I’m sorry it notes that US Customs Enforcement against ice has arrested more than 100 people suspected of being associated with TDA trende aragua in connection with crime since October 2022 the data said and 75 have been arrested for immigration violations more than 20 have been referred for federal prosecution in my personal opinion if you have a 100 gang members known you shouldn’t be just arresting 20 of them uh you should be getting a lot more than that but again that’s where things are at currently it is in the works it’s being processed and again we’ll see whether anything happens before the end of the Biden administration because when Trump comes in he’s saying is he’s going to go after them very strongly uh as he did notably against groups like MS13 when he was president now of course though it does seem they’re tracking possible members of the gang it does not look like they’re deporting all the suspects but there have been some arrests and you know again we’ll see where this goes folks A lot’s going on right now I’ll be giving you updates on all of this um and I also want to be doing some episodes talking about what could be some of the early Trump policies because I think a lot of people are wondering right now because look there’s a lot of like media I I don’t like using the word but it’s true there’s a lot of media disinformation there’s a lot of disingenuous reporting these days um so I want to actually go into what Trump is actually saying he’ll do and then I’ll be discussing some of the different legal implications of this and what challenges you’ll likely face what the different sides of it are uh similar to what we did today and so stay tuned for a lot more coverage like this that said let’s jump into some questions let’s see here um sh well U24 you’re saying if born here by illegal parents can that child when grown up can they serve as president of the United States uh I believe so uh yes I’m almost positive yes and actually two that that could present issues you know one of the problems you have with some of these countries in Latin America uh is because this is not really discussed that much A lot of these countries have a lot of the same social issues we do um a lot of them for example they you know they’re not just Latino I I this is a new term the whole the whole Latino identity thing is new that came like that was like something that started in like the 60s and 70s um before that Latin Americans if you ask them what race they are they’ll say oh I’m Indian and black and Portuguese and Spanish because my family is from Spain um some of this is even legally recognized actually one of the other countries that has pretty LAX immigration laws is Spain um Spain similar to Israel actually if you can demonstrate that you have Spanish Heritage you can become a citizen of Spain um in fact I know I know several people who’ve gotten citizenship with Spain because they have Spanish Heritage uh a lot of people in Latin America are mixed race just like we are in the United States and actually a lot of the racial mixes are very similar to ours um a lot of people are going to have mixed white Indian even Chinese actually there’s a lot of Chinese and Japanese even in Mexico uh they they have very mixed races just like we do you have some areas that are more white like Mexico City actually you have some areas that are more Indian you get like Waka areas you know more towards the South um and then some countries also have different people Panama for example you have a lot more a lot more um people who are black right I call them black Americans they’re pan they’re panamanians uh because a lot of the um you know a lot of the black slaves were the ones who built the Panama Canal and so uh you’ll have a lot more people like that there go to Brazil you’re going to have more Portuguese uh different countries have different race mixes go to Venezuela or Argentina you’re going to have a lot of actually people of white ethnicity actually north of Brazil more white south of Brazil more black they’re mixed race just like we are now for them you know one criticism I’ve heard that I agree with against the United States is that Americans Americans are one of the only groups of people you find in this world who if you ask them what they are they’ll be like Oh I’m Greek and you know black and Mexican and Filipino and Portuguese and French and Spanish if you ask people of any other country what you are if you’re from here they’ll say you’re an American they if you if you go to Europe and you tell a French person oh my family is French you’re going to get ready for a very unhappy time as an angry French person uh lectures you about how you’re an American and you’re not French you know what I mean um if you’re a black American and you go to like Ghana or one of those countries and you tell them that you’re like African-American you’re from there they’re not going to regard you as being from there they’re going to regard you as an American uh a lot of people from other countries they don’t look at race like we do um unfortunately we don’t we don’t properly view ourselves as having an American identity and one thing you find in a lot of Latin American countries is they actually do have national identity you go to Mexico they’re going to say they’re Mexican you go to Brazil they’re going to say they’re Brazilian you go to Panama they’re going to say they’re Panamanian um and actually a lot of the race narratives in those countries they’re new I I I was talking to some friends I have from Brazil about this actually they’re like yeah like all of the sudden we’re getting all these like race movements where they’re trying to go after this race or that race and trying to divide Us by race those countries didn’t used to have that um and so you know they’re dealing with some of the same social issues we do but back to my point on one of the problems you’re having with some of the new migrant groups coming from from some of these countries uh is that a lot of the University Systems like Mexico for example they have specific University Systems set up for for the more like poor farmer types and most of them are run by communist or socialist groups and they their narrative they teach the kids um is all about historical ownership of the United States and how America is stolen land and how Mexico owns America and a lot of these countries they believe that and so they they believe that America owes them something right the kids have been educated in that system the technicality of that is that Texas and a lot of the western states were under the Spanish government uh when Mexico had it Civil War and the Spanish government was overthrown the Rebellion from Mexico tried again taking those States as part of the Civil War right uh which America intervened in Texas First but then America later and America did not recognize the new Mexican government a lot of those States recognized the Spanish government um that it would be like the same thing as if you claimed that you know Canada has historical ownership of the United States because the British Empire was Canada right they they actually they’re still a commonwealth country and because of the American Revolution you know we stole their land from them it’s it’s the same argument right it was it was colonial powers having control over parts of the country which were overthrown in the formation of The American Nation uh it’s it’s that argument right uh but because a lot of this has been framed around communist and socialist narratives they tell them that this country owes them and so when they come here legally the younger Generations not so much the older ones uh who’ve been educated with that they they come here with an entitlement they believe this country owes them they believe that uh you know this is stolen land that they’re the rightful owners of it and that’s the narrative a lot of the Socialist and communist groups push with them and so a lot of them are very radicalized uh with really hatred against the American system because of that and so when you’re dealing with a lot of the younger Generations coming from those countries that that is one of the bigger issues you’re dealing with um which is I think why if you look at older generation Mexican immigrants they were very humble very hard workers um a lot of them um a lot of them actually came in because of the Communist takeover of Mexico and this is not very well known um com Mexico actually adopted communist policies around around around the early 1900s and what they did was this um after the Spanish Revolution the previous system they had was the Spanish system right Mexico was was a Spanish colony uh and it was it was founded before the United States was it’s very old um Mexico was a Spanish system they had the same system of government and the same structure as Spain did where you had of course like the uh you know the farming system headed by basically Knights when they had a when they had their Revolution they overthrew that uh and then what they did was They seized the land from the land owners and they red distributed it the Catholic Church all the Catholics were advised to not accept the stolen land and because of that a lot of the land failed and that caused a lot of the mass migration to the United States and so a lot of the early migrants America got was people who were refusing to take redistributed land uh culturally was a very different group because of that uh let’s see here uh Vicki you’re you’re saying California values I’m a resident and Nim’s values aren’t mine yeah it’s actually it’s actually very interesting because California is changing now um there’s been talk that California is going red uh a lot of the remaining hous House of house of Congress seats right um a lot of the remaining House Seats that are possibly going to go to Republicans Or democrats the majority of them are going to be in California we’re kind of still waiting on which way California is going to go based on early projections though many many parts of California went from being Democrat to Republican there’s been a cultural shift in California now I can say personally um I’m from San Diego originally in California San Diego um at least when I was growing up was very Republican um and especially if you go to like the East County parts and you get away from like downtown San Diego uh or if you go north like Marrietta and Riverside and that kind of stuff right technically not San Diego but um it’s very conservative when you go to those areas Lakeside and all that stuff you know I went to school in some of these I went to school actually in Santi uh Santi California um these areas used to be very Republican uh one of the reasons why Cal why Southern California is not technically is because you have a lot of military a lot of military service members and a lot of those will count as out of votes for where they come from especially when you to like Camp Pendleton right near Oceanside uh when you get to like the Air Force bases and the Naval bases a lot of the population in San Diego is going to be military those are your out ofate votes so they don’t actually count towards the local elections right not as much um we are seeing a shift though taking place in California where they’re actually saying California could become a swing state now we’ll see what happens if Trump masked deports people that will have an unpredictable effect on California because one effect you’re going to see is that a lot of because of because of Birthright citizenship a lot of American citizens are the children of illegal immigrants in California that is the case you have a lot of people I know I know a lot of people from California uh who are Birthright citizens now what’s going to happen a lot of them like Trump Trump by the way but what’s going to happen when you Deport their parents um will they still supported uh one thing Trump is doing is he’s saying that he will Deport then offer policies for re-entry so it is possible that those people who’ve been illegal immigrants their entire lives waiting in line for like 17 years and there’s a lot like that that they’ll be the first ones in line to actually get actual citizenship the thing they’ve been wanting their whole lives if Trump deports them grants them a path to citizenship and then does that he’ll probably solidify those voter bases really um because they’ve been trying to get that for decades some of them I I know a lot of people like that the other side is if he does not do that he’ll probably lose he’ll probably lose the votes of the um of the children of the illegal immigrants that that will probably happen and the state will probably turn blue uh that that’ll be a really important thing to watch on the other hand if he only deports the re illegal immigrants it probably a lot of the funny enough a lot of the older illegal immigrants don’t like the newer illegal immigrants and that’ll probably also solidify more of a republican hold on it but California could shift California uh is becoming a purple state right now and and again you can see it in the house votes science chick 72 you’re saying as a combat veteran I’m normally very anti-war now however the cartels have have been at war with us for many years it’s time we deal with them permanently yeah I yeah I’m kind of the same way I am funny enough folks I actually almost joined the military um I I almost early enlisted and my dad stopped me and uh funny enough my brother and I wanted to join special force our special operations we didn’t do it uh what ended up happening was is my grandpa who’s he he’s a Marine captain my brother was going to join and my grandpa who’s a marine Captain he actually started crying and begged him not to join because he said that he didn’t he said that he fought you know in Vietnam so that so that his kids and grandkids wouldn’t have to experience what he did and he didn’t want us having to go through what he did you know you know PTSD it’s real um you hear it a lot these days because of you know the emotional policy stuff uh but you know I can tell with my grandpa you know growing up because I grew up in a multigenerational home you know he still has nightmares I I hear him screaming at night you know having nightmares sometimes when I stay with him same thing with my father-in-law who um survived the kimar Rouge you know I was down there visiting him just recently as well it’s why I wasn’t here you know was it last Friday uh I wasn’t here you might remember the one before um you know he screams every night having nightmares still you know that stuff’s real so you know war war is no joke um I think because of movies and video games and stuff we we we have a uh we have kind of a light view on what it is but but it it actually does really impact people uh but yeah with the cartels there is the element that war is necessary sometimes and when you have a group that is killing Americans by literally the tens of thousands every single year and look at the drug trade they are killing more Americans every year than we lost in the entire war in Vietnam right you’re looking at them killing upwards of 70,000 Americans every single year those are Americans being murdered through unconventional means um you have the same thing where they’re corrupting entire countries a lot of the reason why we’re seeing Mass illegal immigration from Mexico and Honduras and these other countries part of it’s because of bad communist policies those countries previously had or still have in some areas not so much Ecuador now but like Mexico for example uh and Venezuela for example uh you know a lot a lot of the reason people are fleeing those countries is because the gangs and cartels are making the countryes unlivable and because because of how powerful they’ve become if a governor or a mayor or a local official comes into office saying they’re going to fight the cartels the cartels murder them they murder them in Mexico you’ve had several cases of this even recently even within the last several months several public officials have been murdered by the cartels uh this is one of the problems you have so what you end up with is Narco States you end up with governments controlled by gangs now what’s the other part of that those gangs they hate America those gangs corrupt this country and their country those gangs harm people uh they put into place even like social systems where they become kind of the government and because the economy shifts from being a surface economy to an underworld economy where they’re making money off human trafficking and the drug trade and these become multi-billion doll corporations and becomes a global thing they become a corrupting force a murderous and corrupting force uh worse than a terrorist group and and if you don’t believe me folks how many how many people died in 9/11 and how many people died last year from fenal overdose these groups are worse than terrorists uh in my opinion and so at what point do you fight back against it what point do you do something about it uh I do think that war is terrible and dealing with this is going to be messy because the cartels are so deeply intertwined in the politics of some of these countries Trump saying is going to go after them this will be huge not to mention also uh that the cartels have established kind of unconventional economies throughout a lot of the a lot of the United States not even just poor areas but even very wealthy areas uh there’s a lot of cartel influence in the United States as well and a lot of cartel money and when you get into the realm of government corruption and things like that it’s a huge problem in Latin America and it’s a problem somewhat argue was already in the United States but could become very large especially if you’re bringing in people by the millions from countries that have those problems and you’re establishing black market economies by bringing them in because they need jobs and they can’t always work Le legally you know that that’s that’s going to be a real issue um I’m going to be doing some future coverage on this because again Trump actually has announced a lot of his policies already uh the media you know a lot of the media have not been talking about Trump’s policies they’ve been talking about like project 2025 which is Heritage Foundation it’s not Trump policy technically and a lot of the conservative media they talk a little they talk about it a bit but I I want to kind of give a deeper analysis on what he’s actually saying he’s going to do uh what the actual policies are and my take on some of the history whether it’s going to work or not and the very likely challenges he’s going to face um I think with again leading up to the inauguration some of this coverage is going to be important because it’ll it’ll help people understand like what the actual Administration is and I haven’t seen a lot of very good coverage on that so uh folks stay tuned for some great coverage there’s a lot going on right now and that
