Should Hillary Clinton be above the law of the land?

Should Hillary Clinton be above the law of the land?

Hillary Clinton has committed so many crimes yet she gets away with it. Even when it is brought to light of the top law enforcement agency in the country. This simply put means that Hillary Clinton and several other elites are above the law all the rest of us have to follow. How can this be a good thing? Major government corruption from the president with his secret alias to Hillary Clinton’s unsecured email server that … Read entire article »

Main Street Media – Corruption, Bias and Double Standards

Main Street Media – Corruption, Bias and Double Standards

All you have to do is watch any major new media outlet like NBC, ABC, CBS and it becomes immediately apparent the bias and double standards. The media today defends the Democratic candidates and ignore proven crimes, corruption and blatantly known facts to try and help these candidates. The American people need to wake up to the bias that is obvious in everyday life. They no longer dig for the truth and the facts. They just continually play … Read entire article »

Lame Duck Will See Fight to Put Export-Import Bank Back on Its Feet

Business groups and the White House are urging Congress to use a must-pass spending bill to make the Export-Import Bank fully operational again, setting up a showdown with conservatives who oppose the agency’s existence. Over the past year, the Export-Import Bank, or Ex-Im, has been unable to approve transactions of more than $10 million because the Senate Banking Committee has declined to fill vacant seats on the bank’s board of directors. But with Congress in the midst of debating the terms of a continuing resolution to fund the government into next year, the bank’s supporters say lawmakers should take action to help it during the lame-duck session before the new Congress convenes in early January. Ex-Im provides taxpayer-backed loans and loan guarantees to foreign companies and countries for the purchase of U.S. products. In … Read entire article »

Ohio State Attack Sheds Light on Somali Community’s Struggle With Terrorism

There is still much we do not know about Abdul Razak Ali Artan, the young man who injured 11 people in a car-and-knife attack at Ohio State University on Monday. Before drawing any final conclusions, we should wait for all the facts to emerge. What we do know is that Artan was a Somali immigrant, and multiple news outlets are reporting that he arrived in the U.S. as a refugee. He also appears to have been motivated by a violent Islamist ideology. If so, it would make his the 93rd Islamist terror plot or attack against the U.S. since 9/11. It also makes him part of a radicalization problem that the U.S. Somali community has struggled with for nearly a decade, and which The Heritage Foundation has been tracking. Artan is the 74th Somali-American … Read entire article »

4 Things to Know About ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis, Trump’s Pick for Defense Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, retired four-star Marine Gen. James Mattis, is worried that the U.S. is retreating in a chaotic world. “Right now we have an America that is starting to reduce its role in the world,” Mattis said in a speech at The Heritage Foundation last year. “That’s not good.” Mattis, known and admired as “Mad Dog” in the military, is sober about what impact America can ultimately have on world events. But that doesn’t mean the U.S. shouldn’t try to exert its influence, he says. “I have never thought it necessary to patronize the American people,” Mattis, 66, said in the same speech. “You are not going to get it completely right. You just don’t want to get it completely wrong.” Mattis has lived this reality. During a 41-year … Read entire article »

The Liberal Media’s Anti-Christian Witch Hunt of Chip and Joanna Gaines

Bullying Christians may be a favorite strategy of the left—but it’s not necessarily an effective one. Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s popular show “Fixer Upper” may be sending that message without ever opening their mouths. In what can only be described as a politically motivated witch hunt, BuzzFeed posted a non-story about how the fan favorites attend a church where it’s apparently news that the pastor preaches straight out of the Bible. In her hit piece (disguised as journalism), author Kate Aurthur implies that Chip and Joanna may be hateful people for attending a church that has the nerve to believe what Scripture says: So are the Gaineses against same-sex marriage? And would they ever feature a same-sex couple on the show, as have HGTV’s ‘House Hunters’ and ‘Property Brothers?’ Emails to Brock … Read entire article »

Lawmakers Miss Their Chance to Protect Religious Liberty

Victory. Those have been few and far between during the Obama era, but this week, conservatives can rightly say they secured a huge victory against the left’s radical agenda: America’s young women will not be forced to sign up for the Selective Service, the precursor to being included in a future military draft. Unfortunately, there will be a missed opportunity as well: It looks like a religious liberty provision won’t be in National Defense Authorization Act. Let’s backtrack. The women’s draft push started in 2015, when the Obama administration took unilateral action to allow women to serve in all combat units. According to former Marine Corps servicewoman and current Heritage Action Sentinel Jude Eden: Drafting women is a bad idea because putting women into combat units is a bad idea on a myriad of … Read entire article »

One of These 21 Men and Women Will Be Trump’s First Supreme Court Pick

President-elect Donald Trump is that rare president who will nominate a Supreme Court justice almost immediately after taking office. Trump is expected to act quickly to fill the seat of Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February. During a Thursday interview with Sean Hannity, Trump announced he’s narrowed his original list of 21 people to “probably three or four.” “They are terrific people,” Trump said on Fox News Channel. “Highly respected, brilliant people. We’ll be announcing that pretty soon.” Two of the remaining eight Supreme Court justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 83, and Stephen Breyer, 78, are older than average for a justice and may choose to retire. One-third of the potential nominees on Trump’s list of 21 contenders are 50 or younger, and four are women. This could present a historic opportunity for Trump … Read entire article »

Obama Could Expand ‘Unprecedented’ Clemency Push for Prisoners

President Barack Obama has overseen a dramatic reshaping of the federal prison system, as the most visible leader of a bipartisan movement to overcome the age of harsh punishment during the war on drugs. Indeed, Obama is on pace to be the first president in 50 years to leave office when the federal prison population is smaller than the time he was sworn in. But the impending presidency of Donald Trump—who ran on a “tough on crime” … Read entire article »

Widespread Coverage of Liberal Hate Crimes ‘Study’ Shows Media’s Fake News Problem

So much for taking America’s “fake news” problem seriously. Ever since Donald Trump was elected president, there’s been an abundance of hand-wringing over the “fake news” that supposedly is rampant on social media. Yet missing has been any kind of serious searching among the mainstream media about whether it could learn any lessons from this election—and whether reporters and editors are holding themselves accountable to their supposed values of objectivity and rigorous reporting. And a new “study” presents Exhibit A as to why the mainstream media should reconsider its own practices. The Southern Poverty Law Center—an organization that calls the Family Research Council an “extremist group” because of its socially conservative views on LGBT matters—reported Nov. 29 that “in the 10 days following the election, there were almost 900 reports of harassment and intimidation … Read entire article »

Payday Lenders Accuse Obama Administration of Last-Ditch Effort With Operation Choke Point

Short-term lenders say the Obama administration is attempting a last-ditch effort to use Operation Choke Point to crack down on their industries, causing an “urgent” situation where businesses are unable to perform basic functions like pay their employees. After losing dozens of more banking relationships in recent weeks, a group of payday lenders asked a federal judge in the District of Columbia for emergency relief from the government program, which has been criticized for improperly targeting legitimate businesses. “The need for immediate relief is more urgent than ever,” said Dennis Shaul, CEO of Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA), a trade association that represents approximately 9,000 short-term brick-and-mortar lenders. “Without an injunction against Operation Choke Point, I firmly believe some CFSA members will be forced to curtail their operations dramatically and … Read entire article »

Climate Data Deniers Are Trying to ‘Bork’ Trump’s EPA Transition Leader

President-elect Donald Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency transition leader, Myron Ebell, is a huge threat to the green gravy train. Now, with billions of crony dollars at stake, the green slander machine is doing all it can to slime him. Following their standard tactic, advocates of big government cronyism have picked someone to demonize as the face of small-government, pro-freedom ideals. Ebell is that face, and he’s enduring the left’s vilification for voicing reasonable thought on climate change policy. Though he bears the burden with grace and humor, there is no excuse for the personal attacks, which are designed to distract attention from the high stakes of the debate. What’s at stake for big green is billions upon billions of dollars taken from taxpayers and consumers and given to green crony businesses. Just for … Read entire article »

Alzheimer’s Bill Is Government Overreach at Its Worst

The U.S. House of Representatives is preparing to consider a measure that would once again extend the reach of the federal government into areas best left to states, localities, and families. The bill in question, H.R. 4919, sounds innocuous enough—who could object to efforts to find lost citizens suffering from Alzheimer’s and autism? But when considering new federal laws, the most important question often is not, “Is this a good idea?” Rather, policymakers need to first ask, “Is this a job for the federal government?” When it comes to tracking lost individuals, the answer clearly must be no. What the Bill Does H.R. 4919 proposes to reauthorize and expand an expired federal program, the Missing Alzheimer’s Disease Patient Alert Program. If passed, the bill would create a $2 million grant program, administered by the Department … Read entire article »

No, Trump Likely Will Not Mediate India-Pakistan Conflict

The Indian media is raising concern about President-elect Donald Trump’s phone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and what it might mean for his policies toward the subcontinent. While on the phone, Trump reportedly told the Pakistani prime minister, “I am ready and willing to play any role that you want me to play to address and find solutions to the outstanding problems.” These comments, however, should merely be seen as friendly banter that could have been made to almost any foreign leader. It is not surprising that Pakistani leaders would take advantage of a polite and warm exchange to push their agenda of bringing international attention to the Indo-Pakistani conflict in Kashmir—a long-disputed territory. Pakistan, which has lost three wars with India—two of them over the status of Kashmir—has sought to use … Read entire article »

Michigan Recount Could Cost Taxpayers $4 Million

Green Party candidate Jill Stein filed a request for recount Wednesday in the state of Michigan, following through on her promise to pursue recounts in three states that delivered the election to President-elect Donald Trump. Stein requested a hand recount of the state’s presidential election ballots, a process that will take a tremendous amount of resources in order to meet a Dec. 13 deadline. (See Official Recount Request here, courtesy of the Detroit News) Michigan’s Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said that the cost of a recount of the 4.8 million ballots could total $5 million. Stein’s attorneys submitted a $973,250 check at the state Bureau of Elections Wednesday (the legally required fee for a recount), leaving the remaining cost on state and county governments. Michigan election officials released the official vote totals Monday, after a lengthy process to certify the … Read entire article »

Attack at Ohio State Brings US Terror Plots, Attacks to 93 Since 9/11

This week, terror struck American soil once again—this time on a university campus. On the morning of Nov. 28, Abdul Razak Ali Artan drove a car into a crowd of pedestrians on the campus of Ohio State University. He then got out of the car and began attacking those around him with a knife. A nearby police officer, Alan Horujko, was able to respond within a minute, shooting and killing Artan when he refused to drop the knife. Eleven individuals were injured, all of whom are expected to survive. Authorities believe that Artan may have been inspired by the Islamic State as well as the Yemeni-American propagandist Anwar al-Awlaki. Artan posted a rant against the U.S. on Facebook just before the attack. Using a vehicle as a method of attack has been recommended by al-Qaeda … Read entire article »

The Dakota Pipeline Protests, Explained

Cody Schulz, chairman of the Morton County Commission in North Dakota, is keeping especially close track of a conflict over an oil pipeline that would run through his community. By his count, Wednesday was the 113th day of protests over the Dakota Access pipeline, which has become a complex battle—sometimes involving violent clashes between police and demonstrators—over tribal rights, energy development, and the environment. “The local residents of Morton County are fatigued and frustrated,” Schulz told The … Read entire article »

Dem Sen. Gillibrand opposing Trump’s nomination of Gen. James Mattis for SecDef (what’s ‘obstruction’ called when Dems try it?)

**Written by Doug Powers Donald Trump had barely finished saying that he was choosing retired Marine Corps General James Mattis to be Secretary of Defense when the first Democrats was triggered by the choice, vowing to take a step to try and block the nomination: Less than an hour after the president-elect announced his selection of retired Marine Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said she’d vote against the waiver that will be required for him to serve. “While I deeply respect General Mattis’ service, I will oppose a waiver,” Gillibrand said in a statement, referring to the law that prevents those on active military duty within the last seven years from serving in the civilian post. Congress will have to confirm Mattis, and also pass a law providing the … Read entire article »
