[Music] so my childhood for the first five or six years was wonderful we lived in the country i had a brother three years older and we were outside playing all the time as as often as we could be that was a wonderful life and of course until about six i mean i i didn’t think you know i just simply was but at about six years old uh my brother and i were in the house listening to gene audrey one sunday afternoon but the program was interrupted to announce that pearl harbor had been bombed and later our parents tried to tell us what was going on that there was a war and that it was a world war which i could not understand and i realized that the adults were the ones who were fighting and i couldn’t comprehend that as a child adults were fighting all over the world and they were being killed and that set up a horrible sense of emptiness in me it really became the question of my life what happened what happened to us that the adults would fight and that they would create for a while and then they’d blow it all up so that was the reason actually i went to university was i wanted to try to understand is there any meaning or purpose to life was the western world view correct that there’s nothing but matter there’s no meaning or purpose and when we’re dead we’re dead and that we are fluke of nature in the old testament it is said that we come from dust and to dust we will return that always seemed like a heinous thing to have in a text that was supposed to be about the divine but at any rate these were the questions that bothered me so i wanted to believe of course in meaning and purpose and god whatever that would be and i tried to i even went to a christian college at first but when i left that college i wasn’t any surer than i had been when i went so i knew i couldn’t believe i could not believe i had to know it i had to experience it and that was what guided the rest of my studies so i had a very full life of going various places and studying and i decided that i would start a class in the college where i taught on mythology and symbolic language i had studied the symbolism from carl jung and i realized that these stories will carry the blueprint for our evolution in the myths around the world you eat of the tree of life and you know that you’re immortal you also know you’re divine and you know that you’re creative i love the way of looking at the brain is that we’re all born in universal mind that’s who we all are but we have a valve that limits that consciousness on a daily basis so that we can buy the groceries cook the dinner and do what we have to do but how do we release that valve this is our heritage to experience universal mind in which we are all swimming so that we can experience this vastness of who we are and these megalithic monuments were built around the world so that the people would know the movements of the cosmos the equinoxes the solstices and even the precession certainly in egypt they knew all of that in that way we could live in harmony with the rhythms of not only our planet but the cosmos which for them was so important that we are so much healthier if we can live in the rhythms of the cosmos these megalithic structures were there so that we could know that and they were both observatories and temples they wouldn’t have separated the two as we do and they saw that the human being is the mediator between the energies of the earth and the energies of the cosmos so as we would meditate or how whatever technique they had for us to experience that vastness they knew that that was what would hold the world together here were a people who thought an entirely different way you can tell from their symbolic system and then of course in egypt which is one of the most magnificent civilizations the egyptologists couldn’t see it because they were limited by western restrictions of perception but now with alison roberts she looked at the paintings and the temples and these were actually paintings of each stage of rituals which really shows that they were triggering cosmic consciousness so the ancient world really held the blueprint for our evolution it’s a question that’s asked you know so what uh but i think that you know when these people experienced these altered states of consciousness they knew what the point was and you know it’s just suddenly here was something so vast to ask for proof would make one laugh you know it would be so hysterically funny and you know you won’t prove i mean because you it’s like you are there you know and it is it’s as though you’ve always been there you know it’s real it’s like today andrew newberg and de quille they have written why god won’t go away and they talk about the fact that yes feeling is a way of knowing of course feeling was so dismissed in the western world but when we feel something that is a way of knowing that’s a consciousness and so when you’re in that state that gnostic state you do know but if you’re outside of it and you’re just hearing about it it’s like well so what but the mystery schools throughout the ancient world and we know especially with ellucis everyone who went into that ritual knew that there was no death it was eating from the sacred tree is that they knew that they are immortal and greece felt that without those mysteries they couldn’t exist so throughout the ancient world there were these mystery schools which was a way of those who really wanted to know who were ready to eat the fruit you might say would go into and give themselves over to this deep experience of allowing that valve to be released so that they could experience who they are yeah that’s a good question shamanism which had developed around the world around 40 000 bce is different from a religion in that everything is rooted in one’s own experience there’s no doctrine no teaching it’s simply you getting to the point where you can have your own experience of what is so that was pretty strong around the world for a very long time although i just focus on the on the west but then there were those who took those experiences and organized them into a religion and in the west what has happened is that the religion left out the experience so it was a matter of teaching a doctrine and as with the church of rome the catholic church it was men who got together who decided what was what and from the time of christ you might say that what we’re told is the time of jesus is that we now know through margaret barker’s work that the jesus tradition was an attempt by the jews to re-develop the first temple tradition which was a shamanic mystic tradition and yet when the church the roman church allowed christianity to exist and then made it the religion of the empire then that was no longer the case there were many texts all over the ancient world religious texts that were christian texts but the men got together and decided which of those texts they would keep and the texts that didn’t say what they wanted them to say they either destroyed they burned many many texts but we know that the nagamati texts which were in egypt were buried so that they couldn’t be destroyed and we know that in those texts jesus is not a church type of person because that jesus says to everyone that you’re not to follow me you were to become the christ so he is shamanic in the nagamati text i didn’t come to save you i came to remind you of who you are and when you drink from my mouth you and i are one there’s a very different jesus so there is a lot of evidence that there was a hidden tradition that jesus taught in the early years of christianity and that hidden tradition was the shamanic mystic tradition of achieving christ consciousness or what we might call universal consciousness cosmic consciousness the jesus of the nagamati text said if you bring forth what is within you what you bring forth will save you but if you do not bring forth what is within you what is within you will destroy you and i think that shows what’s happening in the western world today always this inner development was thwarted and destroyed and ridiculed they absolutely sliced us off from that inner knowingness there was nothing in us to bring forth you know it was just that there it was it was just the conceptual mind so i think what happened in the western world was that since we didn’t go in since we didn’t develop that movement of energy in the heart consciousness and all of the ancestors knew about the heart that the heart is as the sufi say the organ of soul and consciousness flows through it and it gives more to the brain than the brain gives to the heart so this is what’s happened if we’ve severed ourselves from that then we haven’t developed that inner knowingness the stories were that jesus you know he would tell stories that would help us to realize that there was a possibility for these things but for those who were ready to actually eat the fruit then he taught the technique of opening to who they really were so this thing with it’s a sad thing to see how the jesus tradition and many church has been thwarted and inverted to the detriment of human beings it was not how it started out i think it destroys us in that it makes us vulnerable to be taken over by people who will tell us what to do by a doctrine by a church by a demagogue by governments that we’re vulnerable and that’s exactly why people who want to control us want us not to go inward and i think so many people you know who who haven’t gone there haven’t brought it forth are self-destructing in a sense and you could say that’s what’s going on today i think if an organization has its own designs on controlling us then of course it doesn’t want us to go inward and find our own meaning and our own awareness our own knowledge of what is they want to dictate it so that they can control not only the individuals but society when the church actually gained power and made it clear that people could not own books that they did not agree on it would be very serious for anyone who went against their orders so to speak and they destroyed temples they destroyed all kinds of texts and really murdered many many people and eventually the mystery schools had to go too then it was the dark ages you might say they closed academies they closed schools they closed temples but of course you know there’ll always be someone who say well something was going on i’m sure it was but they did so much destruction and so much was illegal that they that is pretty much the dark ages because here we’d had one story that could be told and no other story could be told and it was inverted the jesus myth was inverted as i said because it actually said that you were to obey this person you are to follow this person rather than to go inward and achieve what that person had achieved this cosmic heart consciousness but after 700 years around 1000 there was an explosion almost of awareness and longing for something more so during the middle high middle ages we call that from about 1 000 until 1300 there was still a lot of destruction going on in the 1200s that’s when the church destroyed the cathars in southern france many people have rather limited notions of what the qatars were about they carried this ancient shaman mystic tradition it was not the catholic church they called they were christians but they saw it in the shamanic mystic way and the troubadours carried those messages throughout europe when they got into southern france they really began to develop this underground movement you might say so it was about going inward it was about gnosis it was about cosmic or christ consciousness and throughout europe these stories were told the troubadours went from court to court and sang these songs i mean it was love on all levels it was all sacred and this was just absolutely put europe on fire during those years people were just on i mean they were so longing to find something that they hadn’t been allowed even to think of before you know the story of a king author’s court where the knights are all at the round table and the grail appears in the center and they realize that something missing in the grail is something they’re going to find and they all rush out into the forest and that is their labyrinth their journey and they whatever they meet along the way is a way for them to learn and develop and to finally hopefully find the holy grail of course they’re also finding the feminine because that had been excluded from culture the soul and the joy of life the whole mind and the whole body included and so these stories were really about what ails the western mind what ails thee it was they knew something was missing and the grail became a symbol of that cosmic christ universal consciousness that we had been denied and of course as these older cultures were destroyed their knowledge went underground and they are now in search of it again some actually say there an alchemical text that within the architecture is the sacred text a blueprint for our development i mean it’s a very interesting time because there were so many cathedrals built i mean exquisite cathedrals with stained glass there were some masters and they called them the master builders it might have been a tradition since egypt or even the megalithic times the story is that they’d all been initiated into these mysteries especially the egyptian mysteries of death and rebirth but these are the similar all over wherever they appear this was the renaissance of not only the telling of this underground tradition of who we are and what our true nature is but they put it in not only symbolic language in the stories but in so many ways and the cathedrals were one of the major ways they built so many and some people believe that the cathedrals in france are on the ground matching a virgo in the sky which would be that’s a tradition in the ancient world is to try to build on the ground what is in the sky as above so below and so on and at about 1 000 in france at church there was a mystery school here is christianity but it’s the hidden tradition that jesus taught that blossoms there and the teachers who taught there were incredibly intelligent and highly developed but they also were mystics and they developed techniques for experiencing gnosis right there in the heart of christianity and of course winshart was built it has the huge labyrinth which once again is the symbol always of the journey you know that the individual is going to go on the journey and walk that labyrinth around and around and around to the center and as the scholar carl cadeny says so well when we arrive at the center we confront the divine the cosmic mind not as other but as self and this of course is the great secret of the hidden tradition or of the underground traditions that is always denied by the church you cannot say that you are divine in the church but that’s what you know it really began in 1660 with the royal society for the study of science in england the scientists who started that organization had been part of an effort to a great enlightenment much earlier and we call it now the rosicrucian enlightenment in 1620 it was destroyed by the roman church in the habsburgs but here were scientists and mystics and engineers working together in 1600 to really establish a way of teaching and learning that would be about our wholeness the intellectuals mathematical mind as well as the mystical mind and this was they had great hopes uh for that kind of education for the whole world they wanted the illumination of the whole world but it was destroyed by the church and habsburgs and after that europe was in war for 30 years between the catholics and the protestants when that war was over it was very clear to everyone that whatever science developed would not be what these scientists had hoped for but it would be just a material science so this it wasn’t the scientist’s fault they really wanted to do more but they knew that if they wanted to live they had to study simply matter and then eventually they forgot generation after generation that’s why they saw only matter because they were only developing tools to study matter so they developed what is probably one of the most destructive tragic world views and that is that there is nothing but matter what you see is what there is there’s no purpose and no meaning to life and when you’re dead it’s all over and i think that has been one of the most tragic things that’s happened and it was an organizing principle of western culture and after the royal society of course in the 1700s there were the french philosophers and they called themselves the enlightenment but they didn’t know that there had been mystics and scientists before them who had tried to develop the whole mind but they said in the 1700s we have reached the apex of the intelligent mind we are it and everything that came before was just nonsense and that is the legacy of western consciousness we did not develop anything except the rational brain but both of these brain components must be developed so that we have wholeness so that the whole mind can function there are various methods i think what i feel today is that this is a very important place for research there’s probably nothing more important in our education than to know that we have many brain components and how those components work with the heart and how to keep that that movement going and that integral dynamic continuum of movement that integrates the brain components with the heart we could probably come up with techniques that work more easily than being in meditation for months there are difficult ways that you have to have a tremendous amount of discipline for but we are smart enough to come up with very safe sound techniques that will help us to release that valve into this cosmic mind and then come back to the valve technique that brings us into time and space and that’s what i think is one of the most important things to work on the trick of the mind i think that with quantum physics the development of quantum physics in the last century i think that there are many scientists who know it’s not a trick of the mind you know and they know their other dimensions of reality they know there is a cosmic quantum field and the scientists describe that quantum field in a similar way that the mystics describe spirit so i think with quantum physics science knows it’s not a trick of the mind and with scientists who’ve also studied the brain they also see that the brain records everything and that it also has the capacity to experience absolute consciousness they now know that so it seems to me that the trick of the brain comes from the old western limitations of science and thank god quantum physics has blown that up and we know it’s not accurate but not all of us know it you know we’re still suffering from the uh illness of that world view and the near-death experience it’s interesting because millions of people around the world have had them now and they have existed from very early times but especially today people have experienced other dimensions of reality and they have experienced in many cases this cosmic christ consciousness and a love that is so profound that they keep trying to describe it but they can’t so certainly that gives us some real evidence you know with these people who are on the other side have these experiences they’re life-changing and many of them come back with abilities they didn’t have before it’s just difficult to question the validity of them because they’re so similar the things that people do experience so whatever we want to call it people are experiencing anomalous experiences that blow up the old western world view there’s certainly other dimensions of reality and so many things that we can’t explain with the old science but we can begin to explain them with quantum physics and although i was very tuned in to meditating in music and whatever might help my mind relax and release that valve but it was when our only child our son pishti was killed in an automobile accident and my husband ishvan and i both had experiences with him that were so real that i mean i never doubted it in the experience but when i was out of the experience my rational brain would come jumping in and try to find ways that it could get rid of it that it couldn’t really be this or that but when i was in the experience i knew for two years i had been dreaming two years before his death i had been dreaming of his death but i looked at it symbolically and sometimes it would be oh no it was my friend’s son but i grieved in the dream as though it was my son so i think somewhere in my mind i knew that death was coming but i could just live my life joyfully because i looked at it symbolically but my son had also had when he was almost 12 years old he dreamed of his death he dreamed that he was in a hospital and trauma center and he was up above looking down at his dead body and he was in a trauma center for 13 days and then he said i was in a dark space for a little while and then i was on the other side what do you think it means mama i thought oh no you know i really was afraid that it was about death as it was when we after he died we put all of these events together and they fit like a puzzle and then in the year of his death he had another one in which it was a crash and he was in the hospital and they were trying to save him and he kept going out into space and coming back and getting in his body and going out and coming back and finally he looked at the body and said i realized that wasn’t me and so he left now my husband had never been concerned with these things before and yet he had a vision of pishti’s accident two weeks before it happened and he saw the car on the side of the freeway he saw our son’s body superimposed on the car and then he said to himself which shocked him oh that’s right pishti it’s almost time for you to do this and then pishti said that’s right dad i’ll be out of the house for a little while we didn’t know what that meant until after his memorial we experienced his consciousness so profoundly for over two years until my husband was also killed in a car accident in hungary and i did experience him too but the really powerful experiences were with pishti so i i knew i trusted those experiences and ishvan never doubted it once he had his first experience with pishti he just said i had no idea what you were talking about and i will never look at the world in the same way again it’s so we were living in a world that was in a different energy field for those two years and then he was killed so all my mother had been killed one year before my our son and our son actually was taken off the machines on the exact day and time that my mother had died one year before and then two years and four months later my husband so all three were killed within a three-year period but we had these long experiences with pishti’s consciousness and if i had been told that before he died i would have hoped such a thing was true but i only knew it is true is possible because of our experiences but i had two students one who became a catholic one who became a protestant but they joined churches that were of that mind that if you have a vision anything you experience within you it’s of the devil and the devil can be very enticing and he can do this and he can do that and with one person she had had incredible experiences after someone she knew died and yet she was so shattered by that death experience though that she ended up joining that church a church that uh told her no no that’s of the devil it’s not real it is given to you by this evil force the only thing that she could believe is what the church told her to believe if that’s not total control i don’t know what is and that is a tragic thing that some churches do now many don’t and people say spirit speaks only in certain ways no i think the spirit uses every everything it can to communicate so after his death i was in a music shop for example or no bookstore and there was music playing and the music was so profound i had to sit down and i i couldn’t even do anything until it was over i bought the music came home and i just was totally drawn to the room and as soon as i lay down he was there he was in like the upper right-hand corner then he said mom let’s go through all the phases of my life together we were surfing on the ocean of life and when i’d want to hold on to something i would start to sink and he would say surf with the flow go with the flow and live each moment fully then let it go and there were times when i almost sank and then when i would let it go i would surface and it was more joyful and we came to the teenage years and i said i could let those go i don’t need to hold on to those and then it was when he was in the trauma center then i got caught and started to sink again but then again he said mom live each moment fully then let it go so we were and my husband said that on the way to work it was like a tape recorder he kept getting information information and he said i have to make up for all these years i didn’t pay attention to this stuff you know he said it’s like i’m having to make up for lost time so we used music we used a lot of shamanic techniques and pishti was so fully present and he wanted us to know that he was fine he was on the other side and also that we all three had known this and that we had done this for a particular reason and he wanted us to remember things that we had forgotten when we came in to the physical state then he talked a lot about what the earth is going through now he said the earth is attempting to give birth to a new consciousness and people all over the world are working for that and in a vision right after his memorial i heard chanting like native american chanting and i saw a spiral of beings that were circling the earth and they were being born all over the earth i heard the language within me and it was so clear they were saying our brothers and sisters on the earth are dreaming a terrible dream we had cut ourselves off from everything that we are and we’ve tried to live that way and and we have so much mental illness and fanaticism and fundamentalism and uh violence and addiction as a result of not allowing our whole being we don’t train the child and symbolic his first language this is what we need to do is to awaken the mind with the symbolic language and let that movement take place and including the heart you know during the high middle ages there were many groups of people who were deeply meditating i mean strictly isolation meditation on the heart and how we heal the earth by healing ourselves through the heart and i think they probably created a field of energy which made the high middle ages possible in some ways but back to pishti and experiences that changed everything it changed my husband changed me it’s uh and i felt that because in his life as a young man he had to teach me as his mother to let him go too you know when he was an adult and i could see that it was his choice our choices and i had to accept it and let it go in merchants of light when i talk about those ancient cultures and how they were destroyed and their knowledge went underground and i say that there were five waves of awakening to this underground tradition the first was in the high middle ages and then the italian renaissance and there’s actually it was a text the corpus hermeticum which was a part of this underground tradition that inspired the entire italian renaissance and then it was these underground traditions that inspired the rosicrucian movement and then goethe and the german romantics were actually a continuation of that rosicrucian movement which was still alive in germany and i think the fifth wave of that re-awakening renaissance is today there are so many people we’re all asking questions and we’re all trying to discover i spent my life asking questions and not getting as many answers as i wanted but i was preparing myself perhaps for what happened when pishti died it at least was a knowingness that i had looked for all my life but i think that there are millions of people on the planet now who are doing that now in these other the four waves there weren’t that many people who really were knowledgeable i think maybe in the high middle ages these stories spread but they spread from court to court how many people knew out in the countryside i don’t know today i mean look at this technology we’re talking to each other and you’re gathering together a library of ideas and experiences and passing it on to others i think that there are so many we have quantum physics finally a physics that can hold the reality that we’re talking about as long as there was just that old 17th century view that there’s nothing but matter what i’m saying would it would seem idiotic no one would want to accept it because if you’re intelligent you’re going to accept that world view and how did we deal with this other stuff it was always around but now we have a science that can hold these views that knows that consciousness is primary it is before matter it creates matter so when matter is no longer consciousness is where it’s always been and the sufis knew that too is that everything that we create here is in the quantum field is in the subtle world the ancients always knew it but those who wanted to control to organize society the way they wanted it had to to shut those people up or destroy them but they continued to live this is a very vital story i think which because it’s who we are and it’s going to come back again and again now we face some of the greatest decay imaginable so we’re really up against the darkness but very clearly this merchants of light can stand for those people who are being born on the earth to help us through this crisis it can be an energy field from the other side and we now know that that through science we know that there are highly organized energy fields that can move into an organism and transform it just like a caterpillar and a it becomes a butterfly there is an invisible organizing field which moves into that caterpillar and transforms it it’s that highly organized energy field so well you know this was a question during the high middle ages how do we heal ourselves and how do we heal our culture and how do we heal the planet and there’s still those are the questions for today and i guess my answer would be to myself is to remain open and to be aware of the nature that we live in to be aware of the earth and the earth’s rhythms and also as the beginning women would say in this cistercian monks to love i mean every aspect of love every way we can love because that is coming from the heart and it is the heart that connects us to the universe and to altered states cosmic consciousness and it’s different for different people i think that in the west we’re not going to be on mass people who are going to go to an ashram and meditate for months there are those who do but we find our own way sometimes it was it’s in the simple things we do every day or in our profession that there is that attitude within it that heals us and the work heals our culture and the and the culture heals the world i think it’s in so many different ways we do need that time for the for the mind to be quiet but we can find that in so many different places and ways again it’s freedom to do that and to allow the fruits of that to go out to the world it’s in so many different ways that we wouldn’t even think of because everything becomes sacred you know everything is sacred so it’s really the attitude that is meditative in whatever action and i think rupert sheldrick has done quite a bit on sports and running in those sacred spaces of consciousness in such activities we’ll discover them ourselves but that is the goal is i can only help the world by helping myself i have to first of all work to heal myself and that healing will go out to the culture and that then we’ll go out to the planet you

Introduction: What is Free Speech Today?

In a world where political discourse is dominated by big tech, cable news, and social media influencers, free speech is constantly under threat. From censorship of conservative viewpoints to the silencing of dissent on controversial issues, we are witnessing an alarming trend of restrictions on the most fundamental rights of any citizen in our Constitutional Republic: the right to speak freely.

But what does free speech truly mean in today’s context? Are we protecting it, or are we allowing authoritarian ideologies like socialism, communism, fascism, and dictatorships to erode it?

The Constitutional Perspective: Why Free Speech is Non-Negotiable

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution is crystal clear: “Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech.” The Founding Fathers understood the importance of free speech in preserving a free society. Without it, the ability to challenge government, expose corruption, and advocate for truth would be crushed.

Yet today, under the guise of protecting people from “misinformation” and “hate speech,” powerful institutions are curbing our ability to express ideas that do not conform to their narratives.

Do we not see this as a slippery slope toward authoritarianism?

Shouldn’t we, as citizens, be the ones who decide what we can or cannot hear, not a centralized body or corporation?

Social Media and Cable News: Platforms or Gatekeepers?

Social media was once hailed as the bastion of free speech. It allowed ordinary individuals to share their thoughts, advocate for causes, and hold the powerful accountable. However, over the years, major platforms like Twitter (now X), Facebook, and YouTube have become gatekeepers rather than facilitators of free expression.

Algorithms favor certain ideologies, while alternative viewpoints—especially those with a more conservative or constitutional slant—are shadow-banned, demonetized, or outright censored.

Does this not resemble the tactics of monarchies, communistic or fascist regimes that control what their citizens can see and hear?

Shouldn’t a true democracy allow the free flow of ideas, even if those ideas challenge the status quo?

Social Media Influencers: Fighters for Freedom or Puppets of Censorship?

Many social media influencers, especially those aligned with constitutional values, have become modern-day warriors for free speech. Yet, they face intense backlash, censorship, and de-platforming for voicing opinions that challenge globalist or left-leaning narratives.

How many times have we seen influential voices banned simply for questioning government policies, election results, or health mandates?

Isn’t it concerning that only a select group of elites can decide what is “acceptable” discourse?

While some influencers fall in line with these restrictive policies, others have emerged as champions for free speech, using their platforms to resist censorship and uphold constitutional rights. The question is: Will we support these voices, or will we allow them to be drowned out by corporate and governmental censorship?

The Dangers of Socialism, Communism, and Fascism: A Threat to Free Speech

At the heart of socialism, communism, and fascism lies a common tactic—control over speech. These ideologies have historically sought to suppress dissent, limit expression, and create a monolithic narrative that favors those in power.

Look no further than authoritarian regimes past and present, where dissenters are imprisoned, media is state-controlled, and free speech is criminalized. Can we really ignore the striking similarities between these oppressive ideologies and the current state of political discourse in America?

Is the suppression of speech today not a precursor to more draconian measures tomorrow?

Should we not fight to preserve the right to freely express political, social, and economic ideas?
