the social media site X is now officially headquartered in Bastrop one week ago CEO Elon Musk said ex’s San Francisco headquarters was permanently closed no word yet on how many jobs this move could bring to Central Texas so part of the reason I’m making this video is because X headquarters closed down in San Francisco and are actually moving here to bastri Texas not exactly in Austin and if you guys vividly remember in May of 2023 at the lithium Refinery groundbreaking I asked Governor Abbott if he would want Twitter or X to be moved here it’s nice to meet you Governor Aid elon’s moved a lot of his Industries here do you want to see him move Twitter here don’t have time we would love for Twitter to be here in the great state of Texas Elon loves Zoom business in Texas we will continue to keep Texas the best state to do business including as a location of Twitter what do you think of the truck it’s fabulous you heard it from the man himself he would love to have X Twitter headquarters here in Texas so they made it happen Joe you’ve been following this much more closely than I have back when it was dirt well yes I mean i’ I’ve made some periodic of visits out here but I haven’t been out here for quite some time apparently the boring Bodega has been open for 10 months so this is my first time seeing it yeah since then I mean they’ve they’ve made the road wider that used to be quite dangerous to be out here cuz it was really narrow a lot of traffic going on they’ve continued to build out the boring company site the starlink site I mean they they built a 5 121,000 ft sight and now they’re doubling it and of course now with this which is uh the X safety and Trust Center which is also the headquarters build headquarters so let’s talk about that because we saw I think it was last week that it was like okay goodbye you know San Francisco X headquarters you know and some people were surprised Austin is not technically the new home at actually here in Bast you know they were building this this structure and then they made the announcement so I think they’re going to be using this as the address for a while until they get another structure it’s my opinion but that being said is this whole area is just growing like crazy uh and in addition to what we see here just down the road is neuralink and of course Giga Texas which is Tesla’s headquarters so uh pretty much the center of Elon Musk economy is right here right right I mean do you think that it will stay just in this vicinity the ex headquarters they’ll stay in Bast I don’t know I mean through each of the companies and through other subsidiaries Elon actually owns quite a bit of this land yeah right so if if he’s thinking long term and he wants to uh build on that this would be a great place and you know we out in the country so we have everything like uh you know leaf blowers and we have uh these uh man lifts and just I was going to say the whole 20 minutes before this that we were talking there was no noise and now everyone’s chiming in um and let’s talk about the fact that you know because when I was originally covering this it was standing on the side of the road it was not as widened up it was very dangerous and now we have you know a literal restaurant Barber Shop grocery store that anyone can come in here right right it’s pretty cool it’s kind of a community outreach so not only does it support the companies that are growing here but uh the larger community and as you saw through some of the products that they’re selling in here is it’s a lot from this local area you know one of the ones that’s pretty cool is star-based brewing which you see down at Starbase but their headquarters is right here in Austin as well and they uh have some of their materials and their uh their drinks here which is pretty neat right well and even you know the gentleman who was getting his haircut he said that he works for a business down the road but not actually for you know elon’s businesses so it’s benefiting a lot of people that work in this area if you if you don’t live in Austin or know this area it’s definitely um you know developing it’s sort of going from rural to more populated and eventually they will need more housing out here I’m sure they will um you know there’s plenty of land around this area but I don’t know what the housing market is or at least the the construction Market is in this area right now but it it has to be with the amount of employees that are coming for all the businesses right here alone they’re going to need that yeah and even the local news station was out here today to cover this so you know is this um headquarters moving here a really big deal or is this kind of like how SpaceX moves its headquarters to Starbase it’s more less you know procedural I think uh it could be like SpaceX or or Tesla is probably the better uh example of that you know they move the headquarters for Tesla here at Giga Texas and there are people here for that but they’ve kept a lot of their infrastructure their Design Studios uh some of their engineering headquarters uh they have a lot of functions out in California too and it makes sense because a lot of the talent that they need uh especially for designing stuff is out in California uh but it also opens it up for people here in Austin as well and that was one of the for Tesla that was one of the biggest draws here is that the amount of talent here the schools and kind of the higher Tech part of Texas is right here so they’re tring to tap into that and I would imagine the boring company obviously SpaceX and now X here is going to be taking advantage of that as well well Elon wasn’t kidding when he said this would be the biggest Boom Town America has seen in 50 years exactly and you know it’s kind of funny we hear all the the sounds of construction and that is so I don’t know typical of what you see at Giga Texas if you go to Star base same thing out here is they’re building it as they’re using it and it’s amazing I was going to say we should uh give him some WD40 and maybe check that we can even hear ourselves all right so in addition to the boring Bodega which you can now go to if you stop by this area which makes it a lot nicer to come and visit because abely we’ve both been visiting it before anything was actually uh able to you know park or have any safety alongside the road here but this across the street from the boring Bodega is the starlink factory which is now even doubling in size which is pretty crazy because my first visit here was December 2023 and even then it was just still being built now we have you know it looking very finished on this side but we’re basically doubling the size right well you know we were talking before about how it’s like Starbase or Giga Texas where they’re building it while they’re using it the first 521 th000 Square ft of the factory was finished and they started doing operations early this year about January and they’re making the terrestrial parts of the starlink so the dishes and the routers that kind of except the kits so they’re not making the satellites but they are operational right now and they are building all of that while they are doing this new extension which is about $8 million and it looks to me just uh roughly and from some of the Drone shots that it’s larger than the original so it’s more than doubling it in size wow more than doubling it and uh they posted recently Starling posted on X that they celebrated a milestone over a million kits made in this Factory behind us well not only that but a lot of the Airlines united just uh signed a contract I think it’s close to a th000 aircraft many other airlines are going to do that some people are kind of comparing this to what happen with the North American charging standard connector for Teslas where all the car manufacturers adopted it and it just became the standard we may be seeing that with starlink on the commercial airlines as well oh wow boring company you’ve been inside of there I haven’t been inside of there if you’ve been to Vegas you’ve probably ridden through the boring tunnels which are still not yet driverless um but let’s talk about what’s going on here in Texas okay well it’s pretty neat this facility this large structure that you see behind me that says the boring company is according to the employees that work here when I visited is the only tunnel Boring Machine manufacturing plant in the United States and they are using the same iterative appro approach that uh SpaceX has used with the Starship to develop the to the tunnel boring machines and uh you know they started off with proof Rock 2 actually proof Rock before that proof Rock 2 that’s being used at Las Vegas for the tunnels proof Rock 3 was constructed and tested here with two test uh tunnels that connect this facility and the starlink site and then it was used uh over at Giga Texas for its tunnel and now that proof Rock 3 is been moved to Las Vegas and it just finished another tunnel and and boring company just talked about it was the 15th completed tunnel now interestingly that isn’t the end of the iteration just inside here the proof Rock 4 was uh completed when I was doing my tour back in March I saw it under construction now it is completed and it’s getting ready to be commissioned and many of the upgrades for that are being adopted onto the proof Rock 3 out of Las Vegas and proof rock 5 is already in construction when I was here before it was in final design but they’re actually making it now so they’re continuing to process and improve those a ton of boring machines the ultimate goal is they want to drive the cost down they want to do that by doing something called continuous tunneling which means having the machine working all the time and just continually making the tunnel without stopping that’s a big deal because most of the tunnel boring machines are heavy maintenance and they need to be stopped and cleaned and and you know rejuvenated so they can continue there’s another part of their process that they’re trying to get to it’s called zero people in tunnel and that means they want it to be completely autonomous so you bring the tunnel Boring Machine in you set it up and it does everything you don’t have to have any people inside and uh some of the advantages of that is it’s less risky you don’t have injuries to people but also a lot of the uh supporting infrastructure the Airways and and all that that you would need to make sure that people are safe inside they can get rid of that as well oh wow and so I know that there was some chatter about having you know a tunnel from Giga Texas to San Antonio obviously we’re nowhere near that but talk about you know I think boring company gets some of the criticism more than uh other other Ventures well you know they’re they’re approaching it a little bit differently the tunnels are smaller in size they’re about roughly 14 ft in in exterior D diameter that’s you know pretty small compared to most boring uh or tunnels that you would see but it’s for a reason not only is it so that they can use Tesla vehicles be able to board faster and they can always do more than one tunnel it’s not just one uh but in the end they have a view of using those in space off world so whether it be on the moon or Mars or whatever so they’re keeping that in mind as they do that iterative process and along the way they’re also trying to experiment with a lot of different things whether it’s different materials different thicknesses of the tunnel liners those are the ring segments that make the actual tunnel uh they’ve been experimenting with the roadway surfaces inside in fact Giga Texas has been a test bed test bed for some of that uh kind of using fiber reinforced concrete rather than rebar uh they also have the hyperloop test tunnel here so they’ve been testing operations in a low vacuum environment and also what does that mean for a lot of the materials that are inside the tunnel uh outgassing and uh you know how they react in a low uh low pressure environment so there’s a lot of things that they are testing and trying out and I think people look at that and they’re like well it’s not a mature system it’s not like what we’ve seen in the past and that’s intentional because they’re trying to you know disrupt how tunnel processes have been done forever and they’re just using all kinds of different things and and this facility inside that uh manufacturing uh location right behind us they also have a lot of test infrastructure that they do everything from different kinds of cement or concrete mixes to the types of ground that they’re uh going to be tunneling through and also going back to that zero people in tunnel they’re doing a lot of autonomous uh training and testing in there as well wow well I I do want to mention to people if you’re interested in sort of more here on the screen and so just you not only cover giga texes but you’re also doing a lot better job of keeping people you might be the only person really keeping people up to date on boring company uh well there are a few other channels but it’s just it’s very convenient for me because I predominantly do Giga Texas Giga Texas has a boring tunnel and the boring uh facility is right here just a few miles away yeah and you know when this whole site began it was pretty much just the boring company and then they started adding on starlink the hyperloop and so this place is just growing like crazy yeah wow so I hope that you guys and enjoyed this little tour of what’s at the boring Bodega I have seen pictures of it but man it was way bigger than I was expecting it to be and they had great food and also great activities for the whole family so hopefully you get a chance to check it out in person it’s been amazing to follow the progress of this area over the last few years and how much it is here and this is ran by Boring company employees it’s open to the community so I didn’t have to get any special pass to be here and just take a look they sell merchandise here they have a proof Rock Pub they have all sorts of crazy stuff here so I just wanted to give you guys a little tour yes of course we have the merchandise we have tunnel Mar shirts which are pretty cool we have hooded zipup jackets we have these very bright beat the snail shirts we even have beanie so we have apparel for every season here at the boring Bodega including back to school backpacks pingpong Mortal Combat we got foosball we got actual video games we even have cutterhead candy company with obviously candy but nuts and trail mix and dried fruits a lot of stuff on the go come do your grocery shopping here okay so they have a restaurant here they also have the proof Rock pub with as you can see a big flat screen well combin four flat screens I don’t drink but they do have star-based Brewing themed beers and um a bunch of stuff if you just want to come and have yourself a drink so we are here in Bastrop Texas not actually in Austin but I’ve also been here these are from Las Vegas Nevada in the boring tunnels there pretty boring story huh okay I’m about to embark on something that I never thought I’d be able to do because I never ordered that burnt hair cologne I’ve never smelled it but apparently it smells very terrible so I’m not going to Spritz it as you can see it’s about halfway gone I don’t know what brave souls put this singed on them but this is my first time truly yeah it’s actually like not as you could get away with wearing this it smells bad but it there’s there’s actually a bit of like a woody or like floral undertone it’s it’s not as bad as I was expecting from the outside you probably wouldn’t even realize that there’s a barber shop inside the boring Bodega Scott Walker runs the barber shop he says that he sees about a 100 clients a week and while I was there I witnessed this gentleman transformation dude these are sick I love this one with star man what are you having done I’m getting it short like really short not really short but no more long hair have you had it cut here before no really do you work for the boring company I do not I work for another company down the road oh cool is this your first time here yeah one of my co-workers comes here so oh very cool okay awesome you look so good you do you like it I do you wanted it shorter but I better stick back yeah oh my gosh you look like a different person it looks really good it feels nice so why did you decide to make the plugge I had long hair for like four years I haven’t had short hair in a long time I’ve been going to a bunch of weddings with friends like just time to clean it up and soes it feel weird yeah wow it feels light oh my goodness my God check out the back I left nice gradient nice and clean is it supposed to have a hole hole of the back of his head without hair okay absolutely so we’ve been open since November of last year that was when uh we actually developed the the hyper Plaza but I mean we’ve been going strong as you can see the developments out here they just added another mile to SpaceX so the builds are coming we got boring company right across the street from us and I mean it’s ultimate for the employees they get accommodated with uh in-house chefs we got food Galore we got a bar we got an in-house Barber [Music] Shop there’s even a play place or a nap [Laughter] place you want me to stop it okay want we stop it uh

Social Media and Cable News: Platforms or Gatekeepers?

Does this not resemble the tactics of monarchies, communistic or fascist regimes that control what their citizens can see and hear?

Social Media Influencers: Fighters for Freedom or Puppets of Censorship?

How many times have we seen influential voices banned simply for questioning government policies, election results, or health mandates?

Isn’t it concerning that only a select group of elites can decide what is “acceptable” discourse?

While some influencers fall in line with these restrictive policies, others have emerged as champions for free speech, using their platforms to resist censorship and uphold constitutional rights. The question is: Will we support these voices, or will we allow them to be drowned out by corporate and governmental censorship?
