good morning everyone former president Donald J Trump is now yet again the president elect and he’s going to be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on January 20th inauguration day and you know one of the big questions coming up is well what is going to happen to all the pending legal cases against Trump remember there are a couple Federal cases against him still brought by special counsel Jack Smith and still pending as well are a couple local level cases and well now those Federal cases look like they could be dropped now let me know your thoughts on the legal cases I’m curious what you all think about it uh do you think that they have Merit do you think they’re going to hold up let me know uh and also did you all think they were warranted in the first place or do you believe they were lawfare right the weaponization of government I’m curious actually that’s so let’s dive into it so first of all the Department of Justice is reportedly looking to wind down the criminal cases against president-elect Donald Trump and this follows his historic victory in the 2024 elections Epic Times said this says special counsel Jack Smith’s office said the Department of Justice has a longstanding policy not to prosecute a sitting president in response to a query about whether it will drop its criminal cases against President elect Donald Trump who won the 2024 election and it’s that Peter Carr a spokesperson for the special Council ‘s office declined to comment on whether the office will drop its case but directed The Epic Times to a 2,000 Memo from the Department of Justice Office of legal counsel and it states that quote indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting president would unconstitutionally undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions and notes that when Trump officially takes office he could take his he could use his presidential Authority to dismiss the two cases brought by Smith Who was appointed by Meritt Garland however he has less latitude in dealing with the cases brought in New York City and in fton County now of course this does not necessarily mean it’s over Trump still has other charges including in New York and again uh the Department of Justice cases can come back H hypothetically we don’t know if they actually do it could potentially come back after he leaves office unless he like pardons himself self and that would raise the question though of whether Trump will launch investigations into the cases brought against him and whether there were for example Communications between law enforcement there and maybe the White House or law enforcement there and maybe some other political actor and pro you know probably be using some some of the levers of government once Trump is in that position uh being able to car out those kinds of Investigations to find out was there corruption involved in using the government and using the justice system to go after its political enemies uh remember Trump has been saying that he is your retribution right that’s his one of his campaign slogans in fact and uh one of the criticisms from a lot of his opponents against him was that he is planning to go after his enemies what is the real meaning of that a lot of it has to do with the weaponization of Justice what a lot of them call that and the question will be well was the this legitimate was this legitimate you know Act of law was this normal legal practice or was it about politics and notably using the government to go after People based on their political stances a lot of people who were arrested on January 6 feel that way and they look and say well why wasn’t antifa arrested for doing very similar things uh notably when antifa actually took over parts of Seattle and declared a Chaz or chop site that in it self is technically legally an Insurrection if you conquer a part of the United States and declare it part of a separate country you’ve launched an actual Insurrection did anybody ever go to jail for that right you tell me uh also Trump’s legal team is reportedly working on its own strategies not through the you know president’s office but his legal team and they’re trying to also resolve some of the legal challenges now remember Trump is facing sentencing in New York on November 26 in New York they want it sentence impossibly to jail November 26 before again the inauguration and the case against him in Georgia is wrapped up in is wrapped up in other legal issues because of problems the district attorney there’s gotten herself into uh and so it’s going to be interesting with these two cases because for the most part we’re not seeing a strong opposition come up we’re not seeing a lot right now uh I’ll be talking about this but the way it relates to this is important because if for example Trump gets sentenced or charged with a felony or who knows what and that comes out just before January 6 when the Electoral College votes are counted that could actually impact some of the maybe calls for Electoral College members to change their vote as we saw Democrats try back in 2016 but look in other news vice president kamla Harris she has officially conceded the election to Trump she called former president Donald Trump to congratulate him and she conceded the presidential race she also made her concession speech yesterday afternoon watch this but we must accept the results of this election earlier today I spoke with president-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory I also told him that we will help him and his team with their transition and that we will engage in a peace peaceful transfer of power a fundamental principle of American democracy is that when we lose an election we accept the results at the same time in our nation we owe loyalty not to a president or a party but to the Constitution of the United States and loyalty to our con I and to our God my allegiance to all three is why I am here to say while I concede this election I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign now something else interesting happened uh right before Kamala went on stage a squirrel ran across the stage and people made of course references to pean up the squirrel uh but look on the concession speech this suggests that we will be seeing attempts or will not be seeing attempts from Democrats to contest to the vote maybe they will maybe they won’t uh this means they will not be calling for recounts they will not be trying to change the outcome of the Electoral College WS at least not yet because again if Kamala has conceded the election it means that she’s not going to be challenging it she’s no longer trying to beat Trump she’s no longer trying to become president president she has officially conceded uh and I I didn’t expect this I’ll be honest with you all uh this is actually becoming what looks like the first peaceful transfer of power uh that we’ve seen in quite a long time you know you could say 20120 2016 were pretty rough even before that you usually saw recounts at the very least right but between this and the legal cases against Trump winding down although we don’t know how that will end up in the future it is possible at least for the inauguration and for this election that we could see a relatively smooth and maybe peaceful transfer of power and Trump claimed another swing state also as well Trump got Michigan now that puts Trump strongly in the lead with 295 Electoral College votes he only needs 270 to win so this is just beyond the margin now and it also as Republicans coming even closer to controlling the House of Representatives as well as the Senate and if they do that Trump’s going to come in with a super majority and the Supreme Court now meanwhile despite Trump being reelected to office and the potential that Republicans could see a super majority advocacy groups are already announcing uh that they have plans to challenge potential Trump policies here’s more on this from USA Today they say this foes of trump promised to provide his administration no honeymoon hours after Trump’s Victory advocacy groups were setting their sights on the president elect who will take office January 20th the American civil liberties Union which fought many controversial Trump policies during his first Administration said Wednesday that it already has a battle plan and would take action quote the minute he takes the oath of office the American civil liberties Union which fought many controversial Trump policies it says uh during his first Administration said Wednesday that it already has this in place and it notes that Chris Brown president of the gun safety group uh group Brady called Trump’s election troubling but pledged to continue to fight to prevent gun violence they said quote even though we won’t have a friend in the White House Brady isn’t giving an inch and Sierra Club executive director that’s Ben jealous called Trump’s first term a disaster for climate progress and pledged to challenge Trump’s disastrous proposals in court and keep the pressure on Banks and big corporations to clean up their act uh remember these are going to be some of the main topics we’re going to be hearing in the short term what are they going to be well when Trump does what he says he was going to do on day one if he does it he’s going to move to deport all the illegal immigrants what will happen with that you’re going to see advocacy groups try to represent the various illegal immigrants now the Supreme Court has been weighing cases on the degree to which uh illegal immigrants can actually have legal representation if ice or another agency tries to deport them whether again they have the rights of citizens to the normal court system we have uh when an agency is deporting them or for example if it’s done during an act of War for example with the alien enemies act which Trump is saying he’s going to use regardless of that though you’re almost without a doubt going to see challenges at the state level uh where you know for example various us officials you know Gavin Newsome in California for example they’re now talking about state rights and state sovereignty uh terms that when Trump terms that when Biden was President were actually defined as being potentially extremist terms uh but you know not something that was ever extreme before that right states do have rights uh in relation to the federal government uh but suddenly it’s no longer considered an extremist term day one or within the first week now they’re talking about state rights yet again uh the the context of that is very likely going to be trying to protect illegal immigrants within those States and within certain cities from being deported and they’ve done it before remember when Trump was President back in 2016 Trump also was you know people were saying oh he’s going to deport illegal immigrants and many states and many or many cities became Sanctuary cities they made it illegal for law enforcement to cooperate with ice immigration enforcement and that had of course a trickle down effect on crime because it meant that a lot of illegal immigrants may not go to prison unless they’re indefinitely held unless they’re on the books and if you don’t have a way to track them there’s no way to really hold them accountable uh but again that is what we will likely see yet again uh the question is whether it can hold up legally if Trump actually does invoke the alien Sedition Act uh on that note as well uh you will very likely be seeing different advocacy groups nonprofits this will be the mainstream media narrative blasted full volume I guarantee it and you’re also going to see a lot of people campaigning on this uh as a as funny as it is I was talking with some friends about the election and I suggested something I said you know what actually would probably make help Democrats probably win you know had things gone differently back in 2024 uh with the election we just saw I was like you know what actually probably the win them the most votes is if they pardon Donald Trump uh that kind of move very likely would show a kind of uh lessening of pressure we did not see that of course and then I said you know what would actually probably saved the Democrat Party would be if after everything’s done Trump wins the election because the issue they were facing was divisions with their own party uh they were facing a lot of Divisions between different segments right the Democrat socialist of America was pushing against the main Democrat Party a lot of the communist uh party factions were actually pushing back against the Democrats and the Republicans they were losing a unifying narrative Israel and GA and Gaza that whole narrative split their party to a very large degree especially at the Grassroots level and I was saying actually it’d be funny because the thing that would probably hold them together would be opposition of trump if Trump were to become president and I think we’re going to see that you’re you’re very likely going to be seeing large scale protests uh groups trying to Rally together legal immigrants you’re going to be watching a lot of these systems that were in place back then coming out yet again and now look the other side of this though billionaire Elon Musk is potentially going to be heading a new Department of government efficiency that’s Doge and it’s kind of after his meme coin Dogecoin and in a nod to his famous meme after he bought Twitter to this where he carried a sink into the Twitter office and then fired 80% of the staff Elon Musk has now repeated that Meme Elon Musk posted a picture of himself carrying a sink into the Oval Office this time not the Twitter office and he repeated the same line as well in the post he just made on X he said let that sink in now with Twitter some took that as him suggesting that he you know let that sink in that he’s just bought the company let that sink in that he’s here now I personally took it as a reference to him let that sink in because I’m going to get rid of everything but the kitchen sink but you know you take it for what you will now musk suggested that he could cut at least $2 trillion do in government spending and he does seem he’s ready to do this you could see for example certain government agencies maybe have a significant cut to departments and uh you know operations they have that are deemed deemed non necessary now let me show you this folks because it seems like he’s getting ready well I I think we we could do at least two trillion yeah yes two trillion I mean at the end of the day you’re being taxed you’re being taxed all government spending is taxation so whether it’s it’s direct taxation or well govern spending it’s either becomes inflation or it’s it’s direct taxation your money is being wasted and the department of government deficiency is going to fix [Applause] that now it’s not just Elon Musk who’s planning moves like this RFK Jr right Robert F Kennedy Jr the once candidate in this presidential election cycle before he dropped out and then endorsed Trump remember he was running as a Democrat he could also have a place in the new Trump Administration especially on health now RFK Jr when he was running for Democrat president and you know they didn’t really let him run as a candidate technically uh he was of course talking about vaccines and big Pharma and that’s been his biggest thing now politically this has been an issue that has kind of gone from Democrat to Republican over the years I remember back before Obama it was mostly Democrats who cared about you know vaccines and bodily health and pushing back against big Pharma they flip-flopped on that they started becoming very Pro big Pharma and a lot of that had to do with of course political advertising and other things because big Pharma is also big money big money for government big money for media most of them at least and RFK Jr is talking about pushing back on that now he’s talked about these companies he’s commenting on some of his plan for a potential place in the Trump Administration let me show you this watch clearing out the corruption in your terms would that mean clearing out the top level Federal service workers that are currently at the FDA and CDC in some categories I would say what does that look like yeah in some categories of workers their entire departments like the nutrition departments at FDA that are that have to go um that are are not doing their job they’re not protecting our kids why do we have Fruit Loops in this country that at 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three now after this he’s then questioned over whether he would eliminate certain agencies alog together not just departments he said that doing that that like eliminating the entire government agency like getting rid of the FDA he would probably need Congressional approval for that and so he would not do it but it does appear to be his goal that he’s going to get rid of a lot of this right he wants to get rid of parts of the agencies maybe not entire agencies and the question is well how much are you going to get rid of um if he gets rid of for example 95% or 20% you know that’s a big difference and at the same time too because regulatory bloat uh because of the way that works it’s also possible that any agency that is reduced could just build it back within you know the next Administration or something as well so we’ll have to see but it is possible that RFK Jr would be given some of that Authority remember leading up to this election Trump was saying he would have RFK Jr work on quote health and Women’s Health in this Administration and also to look into the country’s food supply which some people are concerned about uh in particular looking at potentially harmful chemicals and ingredients that get added to our water and to our food now this was him during a campaign rally in Nevada a week ago watch this Robert F Kennedy Jr we have and he’s going to work on health and Women’s Health and all of the different reasons because we’re not really a wealthy or a healthy country we’re not we’re not actually we’re not a wealthy country either we owe 36 trillion but we’ll get that take you know what’s going to take care of that largely the liquid gold is going to help us with that that’s why I told Bobby Bobby I want you to take care of Health I want you to look at the food and the food supply and what we put on the food and all sorts you could look at but let me handle the oil and gas Bobby just leave me alone now one thing about Trump that whether you like him or not that many people do say about him is he tends to he tends to do what he says he’s going to do now Kennedy has been pushing a new narrative called Maha make America healthy again and he’s been very much against what he sees what he seems to view as an overuse of vaccines the vaccine schedules for kids and so on harmful chemicals included in the vaccines things he says for example like Mercury that can get into the brain and stay there and also other medications big Pharma overall he’s also on broader problems within the pharmaceutic IAL industry and what he seems to view is maybe corruption or maybe money interest that overrides the goal of actually saving lives uh he has since clarified that he’s not planning to get rid of vaccines altogether though he has suggested that he will keep them available but maybe just get rid of the mandatory vaccines especially the vaccine schedules for kids uh you know a lot of us growing up had to get vaccines maybe you got like five or six you know May you got a few of them if you look at the vaccine schedules for kids now it’s a huge number they’re getting more vaccines before they’re a few years old than most of us have gotten in our entire lives and the question is while is that good for them or harmful to them it seems RFK Jor stance is going to be to look at that but also to make it it’s no longer mandatory for school RFK Jr is also saying he’s going to be working to get floride out of America’s drinking water now he’s noted this will come down to the States because he can’t force the states to do it a lot of them are in charge of their own water supplies and so on and while he may have a hard time forcing them to get fluoride out of the water that the states could be legally liable for violations of Health if they keep it in especially if they can prove it’s unhealthy now on that we’re probably going to have to wait and see what the legal battle is over whether again uh this is safe to have in water or not fluoride he has previously said that FL is an industrial waste product linked to cancer some would say it’s linked to the U the uh aluminum industry actually now here’s a on it from a few days ago they say Robert F Kennedy Jr a prominent proponent of debunked Public Health claims they say who debunks it well maybe them uh debunk Public Health claims whom Donald Trump has promised to put in charge of Health initiatives said Saturday that Trump would push to remove fluoride from drinking water on his first day in office if elected president and again RFK Jr said the same also and now they note they claim that fluoride strengthens teeth and reduces cavities by replacing minerals lost during normal wear and tear according they say to the US Centers for Disease Control prevention the additional the addition of low levels of fluoride to drinking water has long been considered one of the greatest Public Health achievements of last century they claim they knowe Kennedy has made the Declaration Saturday on the social media platform X alongside a variety of claims about health effects of fluoride quote on January 20th Inauguration Day the Trump White House will advise all us Water Systems to remove fluoride from public water Kennedy wrote this in notes as well that Trump and his wife Melania Trump quote want to make a America healthy again and note that he repeated the phrase trump often uses and links to Kennedy now personally on a personal note I tend to take issue with media claiming debunked claim science says this because science changes and if you want to show scientific studies demonstrating something is healthy I can find you 10 if I want to show you scientific claims on the same exact thing saying it’s unhealthy I can probably show 10 as well uh a lot there’s a lot of dishonesty in the way that people present this kind of stuff it’s just the way it is uh personally I have seen different studies on fluoride I’ve seen some that say say it’s healthy I see some that say it’s harmful I’ve seen both personally I don’t like it but I do know there are arguments that say it helps protect people’s teeth uh I as well as some others would suggest that having fluoride and toothpaste would have a better effect than drinking it uh because I don’t know why if it’s for your teeth you need to consume it but I would assume that if Kennedy does move to ban it then we will have a medical debate about it as a country as we go forward actually on a personal note I take animal vitamins like liver vitamins or Heart vitamins and stuff like that made from Meats they also do bone ones that are good for your teeth which I believe are more effective personally again not giving medical advice but it’s what I personally do now in other news the economy also just got a Boost after Trump won the election Wall Street jumped to record highs I’ll be talking more about the Trump effect on the economy after we come back from a quick break experts agree one of the best ways to protect against as the 47th president of the United States of America he’ll be 47 and 45 now the after he W after his win the economy also just got a Boost after Trump won the election Wall Street jumped to a record high Epic Times said this this said the Dow Jones industrial average shot up 1,500 points to its record high on Wednesday after Donald Trump won his second presidential term and look at Trump’s promises during the campaign to increase tariffs cut taxes and slash Federal Regulations appeared to encourage investors to plunge into range of into a range of assets that might benefit from his policies and they say quote everywhere you look there’s the thumbprints of these election results for markets and that’s according to Paul Christopher who is head of global investment strategy the Wells Fargo investment Institute now of course as it notes the jump likely ties into Trump’s plans to f focus on American manufacturing right domestic manufacturing pushes for lower taxes including for businesses right corporate taxes one thing the Biden Administration was trying to do is raise corporate taxes and then create Global you know mandatory minimum taxes globally so that businesses could not Escape High US taxes that if they raise taxes here they can’t just move to the Caribbean or something like that right that’s been a very difficult move for them but because of taxes on businesses a lot of businesses some would say just well they’re not going to be here that was the argument Trump had why would you do business in a place if you have to give like 20 30 40% of your profits when you can just move your business to another place do the exact same business and pay you know 5 10% or even less in taxes which one are you going to do especially when you have to answer to your shareholders now he also wants to restart uh American domestic production by was pushing for that as well just being honest right H but Trump is also looking to put on tariffs for foreign goods and it’s not clear whether it’s going to affect us companies manufacturing abroad as well we’ll see now look other news something interesting happened everyone do you remember antifa uh before we had blue antifa and red antifa right uh there was black antifa the guys who wore all black they call them black block protesters and these are anarcho communists in many cases well antifa just tried making a comeback in Seattle that’s where they had the chazard chop site and guess what happened antifa came out after the elections and then they were very rapidly arrested something happened post millennial says this he said on Tuesday night Seattle Police shut down an antifa direct action near the deadly Chaz slch Chaz chop Anarchist Zone in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood of Seattle they note several left-wing militants were arrested on criminal charges which resulted in the group dispersing for the evening foiling antifa’s plan to Riot on Election Day they’re arresting the people who might Riot against Trump uh very interesting development I was personally anticipating these groups to have kind of a rallying call and come out and try to overthrow the presidency or something like that they’re being arrested now in Seattle which is a pretty you know left leaning area uh it notes that charges varied from property damage to Defying police orders Seattle Police maintained a substantial presence on the ground preventing antifa from conducting serious acts of illegal activity in the same neighborhood the militants forcefully seiz control of during the 2020 George Floyd riots nearly 100 SPD officers Seattle Police Department followed the group on bikes and cars after they vandalized property and marched unlawfully in the street police police issued announcements to the group throughout throughout the night over an elrad speaker and a police helicopter circled the militants demanding the agitators remain lawful over a loud speaker at least five arrests were made police said now again this ties back to what we may be seeing overall it appears whether it’s the radical left which you know antifa’s anarcho communist uh as far left as you can get whether it’s them whether it’s uh you know the peaceful transfer of power we’re seeing where Kamala conceded the election and was very gracious about it frankly uh Barack Obama even allegedly called to congratulate Trump George Bush shook hands with him uh we’re seeing a shift right now a very interesting shift one that I did not think we would see personally I’ll be honest with you all I thought we were going to see weeks of vote counting I thought that was going to be dragged on for weeks I then thought we’d be seeing challenges to the election lawsuits the whole nine yards I thought there was going to be pressure on the Electoral College I thought there was going to be riots on the street all throughout this and who knows what would happen January 6 whether we’d see a repeat of 2020 or if you know they would have proper Security in place this time and also whether there’ be attempts to try to damage or undermine the inauguration who knows what we’re seeing right now the the trajectory we’re on is a peaceful transfer of power and you know look whatever side of the political aisle IR on we’ve seen both sides challenge the elections right whether it was in 2020 or in 2016 uh We’ve not seen this kind of uh this kind of peaceful attitude in a long in a long time in this country and it’s very interesting to see uh the Democrats are actually being very gracious with Trump uh it’s a very interesting development to be watching for our country and hopefully something we’ll see more of uh as time goes forward folks that said let’s jump into some questions let’s see here all right um Candice Harden you’re saying seriously this all went down all went off without much of a meltdown seems there is too much calm no riots no media circus yeah I’m kind of I’m kind of not us to it you know I’m uh I’m I’m kind of like waiting to see what happens like it seems seems a little like not normal uh maybe maybe I’ve been so conditioned over the last few few uh administrations let’s say uh that I’m not used to it anymore and maybe some of you are feeling the same way I’m like wait nobody’s rioting really uh nobody’s challenging the elections is this happening not only are they not trying to criminally charge Trump they’re actually talking about getting rid of the criminal charges uh like did I wake up in the Twilight Zone or something like that’s what it feels like that it feels like I woke up in the Twilight Zone and I’m living in like the like the Leave it to Beaver America suddenly you know what I mean I I kind of don’t know what to think of it uh I’m not I mean I think it’s great I think it’s fantastic I hope this country can maintain peaceful decorum but you know we’ll see if we can maintain it I I think it’s a fantastic development if this is the new country Judy aim you’re saying the us could be on a very important path now if Trump and his Avengers play it right the us could show the world you can get rid of unnecessary bureaucracy and elitism without the collapse of civilization yeah and I agree and you know for Americans we don’t we don’t often think like this uh we think that what do you mean collapse of civilization if you get rid of government bureaucracy but for a lot of other countries in the world they don’t see it that way uh for a lot of countries in the world they depend on government bureaucracy uh they tend to look to government to fix all of their problems to the extent that the average citizen very rarely does anything on their own uh when it comes to their Community or otherwise because that’s the government’s job they would say and uh sometime in some countries you might even run into legal problems if you try to do stuff like that there’s a very clear divide on it there’s very there’s a very strict line in the road you’re the citizen here the government’s here and you don’t cross that line uh in America we have a very different view of this you know Americans walk into the capital building be like my T my tax is paid for this I own this building you’re my employee Point pointing to like the elected officials you’re my employees like that that’s the American mentality for a lot of people uh if Americans walk into a restaurant and they’re a t they’re they’re a group of four and there’s two tables of two without thinking the Americans will walk up and push those tables together and they’ll have a table of four in some countries they will yell at you if you do that if you try that in France they might kick you out of the restaurant a lot of countries don’t allow for that kind of individual sovereignty and so for Americans we talk about cutting Bureau y it you know for us we don’t maybe we don’t think as much of it but in some countries it is a big deal in some countries they they kind of don’t know how things would function if they did not have kind of an all-encompassing government and so as Judit notes as the United States under Trump moves to get rid of a lot of bureaucracy cut government spending cut government waste get rid of certain Departments of agencies maybe even agencies are talking Trump’s talking about getting rid of the Department of Education for example just as one example of this I don’t know if you’ll do it but it has been floated uh it’ll be interesting to see how things do function after that and what replaces what what what replaces the void left over after the agency is removed because individuals will have to replace it it means the American people will gain some of their sovereignty but we need to have that we need to step up to the plate in other words uh Freedom does require a certain degree of action and participation and so uh I think it is true for the world now America will have to demonstrate whether this works or not frankly Anthony Evelyn you’re saying what are your ideas on how Trump should deal with major mainstream media networks well now this is where uh I risk being biased so let me let me try to not be biased so in my opinion a lot of the major news outlets are not doing what I would consider to be legitimate journalism they would argue a lot of the independent journalists are not doing legitimate journalism the reality with news is that it’s almost impossible not to have some opinion right uh your political views will shape to an extent which stories you choose at the very least uh it will affect who you interview who’s willing to talk to you whether they’re hostile towards you when when you interview them uh for some news new Outlets though tied into government you know bureaucracy of course they get fed news leaks they get fed angles sometimes that’s done strategically sometimes for example a political party getting ready to launch something very controversial might provide it to a friendly news Outlet so that the very first article establishes The Narrative and before the story goes out to everybody else everybody’s heard it so it’s no longer breaking news and it’s not as big of a deal anymore because they’ll frame it and they in the way they want to use it uh I believe very much in traditional journalism and I personally hope that traditional journalism makes a comeback how would I Define traditional journalism I would say traditional journalism is an understanding that the reason the reason people read news and watch news is because they want to have an accurate understanding of the world and news is as simple as that the goal is is to provide an accurate picture of what took place uh the goal is to provide as accurate of a picture as possible of the issues that affect the lives of an individual and to explain the context of it so that everything makes sense in terms of the changes and things you’re watching uh those of you who watch Crossroads maybe you know that I make a significant effort to provide this to you uh for me it’s it’s it’s not just a job it’s also a responsibility because people are basing their understandings of the government and agencies and policy uh maybe not just on what I’m saying but you know to an extent you know I’d imagine most people watch other things still right and of course people have their own ideas when when media enters the realm of what I would consider corruption is when they start lying on behalf of special interest so if for example something happens and they lie to the American people or whatever people they’re talking to in order to protect something because they know the public would reject it otherwise when you reach that level I would question whether they’re new zealots anymore or whether they’re just the pr Branch right the public relations branch of a government agency or a government official or of a business and the unfortunate reality we have in America is that many of the major news networks and newspapers other than Epic Times uh are tied in with major corporations in fact about five or six corporations own the overwhelming majority of news outlets uh on that note Epic Times is a nonprofit organization and we do not have any kind of corporate overlords like that uh one of the reasons why I can say what I actually think you know what I mean um and of course A lot of them too become beholden to advertisers and things like that where they don’t want to say certain things because it might cause trouble for this person or that person it might cost them money there’s unfortunately a lot of business interest a lot of political interest and a lot of corruption tied in with the media the difference we’ve now seen though is very important because prior to the internet that was even if dishonest even if incomplete even if biased that was all you could see if you wanted the news prior to the internet you could only read the newspapers you could only watch what the TV showed you and there was only a handful of TV news networks when I was a kid there weren’t that many channels some of you might remember that there used to not be a lot of TV channels or you could listen to the radio radio is a little more free and radio tend to be more conservative and still does if it was not on TV the radio or in the newspaper chances are you would never hear it that changed with the internet and citizen journalism random reports from every country in the face of the planet where people someone in Ukraine can publish a video on X or Twitter as it used to be known as showing an incident and that becomes news somebody in a random city in the United States anywhere in the country in in the middle of the forest can get a video of something taking place maybe a crime being committed or something and they can post it and even if the media don’t report it all of the American people can see it and so they can bypass the news they can bypass the establishment now you do deal with some people trying to manipulate at that staging videos other countries creating fake videos now we have ai and deep fakes which make the whole thing a little more complicated but that has also led into something else which is the rise of independent content creators and independent journalists I would still consider myself to be an independent journalist uh even though I do work for what has what has become a pretty big news agency uh when I started when I started with Epic Times back in 2006 the office was maybe twice as big as the studio uh we were very small back then and so I still kind of have this small independent journalist mentality you know personally but what you had was this with the rise of Citizen journalism with the rise of Twitter and the rise of these things you started having journalists pulling news from the main agencies they’ll watch what AP is saying and New York Times says and CNN says and you know Fox News says they’ll watch the president speak they’ll watch the debate and they’ll report on it just like any other news agency but they mix that with other information they have other sources outside of the mainstream and that has led to new narratives new information new ways of looking at things uh entirely new stories that a lot of the media might not even cover scientific reports that don’t get covered in the media the whole nine yards and for a lot of the big news agencies that’s cut into their bottom line a lot of them were complaining back in 2016 and 2010 that hey why are these independent news outlets getting more you know higher Google rankings than we do why is for example this random YouTuber uh getting better search rankings the New York Times and they said well it’s not because we’re doing anything wrong right because it’s their own interest like it must be the algorithm and so they try cancelling these people they go after them they say everything you say is false because it’s different from what I believe and frankly they never look at themselves they they never look in the mirror and think maybe people like these people more than New York Times and CNN and Fox News or whatever it is because they believe that what they’re saying has information that is not being provided here or they believe it’s more accurate you know maybe that’s the reason and the efforts to censor the people who people have begun to trust the independent content creators the people on Facebook and everywhere else the efforts to do that had the effect of making a lot of the American people believe that hey you’re trying to you’re questioning my intelligence at this point who are you to say that I can’t watch this person who are you to say I can’t listen to this person who are you to say that you say you’re more right than they are because I believe you’re the one lying to me uh this has created a lot of problems within the news agencies now back to what I was saying uh back to your original question because I I I wanted to give kind of a roundabout thing with this because as a journalist I have a lot of thoughts on this Anthony asked you know what are your ideas on how Trump should deal with the major mainstream media networks I think the way to deal with that is to look at it in terms of racketeering to look at whether there’s price fixing to look at whether there’s maybe anti-competitive uh actions being taken place where news outlets are cooperating together to destroy their opposition to destroy their competitors where the New York Times has entire beats dedicated to doing hit pieces on their on their competitors and where they collude with government agencies on censorship where they will report things demand censorship where they will report to advertisers demand advertisers remove ads from news outlets where they will even coordinate and collude with foreign governments in order to cancel independent cont content creators YouTubers people on Twitter uh influencers whoever they are uh I would say that should be a violation of you know antitrust law personally and so I you know I have no I have no problem having competition I have no problem you know folks you have a choice every day do you want to watch me or someone else there’s a lot of other shows out there uh I personally believe that having those options creates healthy competition and you know it makes me want to improve my game I need I need to be on top of my game I need to provide a quality product uh I I believe very much in the principles of the free market on that front I don’t mind competition but when they go behind the scenes and collude with agencies big tech companies foreign governments uh individuals nonprofit organizations whatever it is to take coordinated collaborative action to destroy their competition I would say that should be violation of Anti-Trust laws and possibly even a racketeering crime uh because if if you’re working in conjunction to commit a crime like that uh if it is an antitrust violation and there’s uh you know conspiracy collaboration to do it uh it’s also possibly that right racketeering uh I don’t know if that would ever hold up in court I don’t know what the process for that would be but I think there’s a case for it there’s also the FCC and some of the different standards they have unequal broadcasting and so on uh I do think that there needs to be some action to prevent this because a lot of the news outlets are no longer just independent news outlets they are major businesses and the and what what is it if a major business takes underhanded actions not to compete with their competitors but to destroy them there are possible legal violations and media should be looked at just the same as those if a big business if if if a car company colludes with for example Tech platforms to deplatform their competitors is that a violation of the law I would say it is if a major car company collaborates with government officials on one side of the political aisle to destroy a competitor is that a violation of the law well yeah I’d say it is and so why do we not view news like this why do we not view news agencies like this which are often times again tied in with some of the largest corporations in this country and then have the goal to say uh big corporations are the problem and like they have like you know one of the top corporate logos in the world like hanging on their wall behind them yeah I’m not buying it right uh but you know we’ll see if Trump does anything with it I I think Trump does recognize the dishonesty of the media establishment actually Idaho rocks you’re saying Trump winning the popular vote is such a face plan and to all those pundits calling for the elimination of the Electoral College you know Idaho rocks I didn’t think of that that is a very interesting point be okay uh that is a fantastic point it is true uh if you talk to a lot of college campus if you talk to kids on a lot of college campuses and you ask them about the electoral college should we abolish the Electoral College they’ll say yes and you’re like well why should we eliminate it uh because it goes against the principles of democracy we need to have a stronger democracy what is democracy uh in in light of that well it means that the voices of the people are not heard you know everybody most elections more people vote Democrat than Republican except for this time more people vote Democrat than Republican but still the Republican wins and that’s because of the Electoral College and the Electoral College takes away the voice of the people that’s the argument right that that is what they’ll say that’s what a lot of the big corporate media has been saying that’s what actually on the Democrat side mostly they’ve been saying in terms of why they want to look at possibly getting rid of the electoral college but uh if Trump just won the popular vote well you get rid of the Electoral College Trump wins anyways it doesn’t matter actually uh that plan is Moot and maybe in the future the Electoral College would help them instead you know uh we don’t again we don’t know if this shift is going to continue Trump is a very unique politician uh he’s he’s a very unique individual I I don’t know if he call himself a politician he is now he’s president uh but he he’s very unique on the political stage if you look at his rallies who else can hold those who who else can rally people like that uh so it is not clear whether again the uh popular vote will stay like this we have seen Republicans win popular vote like George HW Bush for example right we mentioned I think it’s back in 200 uh was it 2003 or 2004 I believe uh last time a republican won the Electoral the popular vote but but you know it does happen right let’s see here Jeremy Barker you’re saying g go back to private citizens allowed to go about their Own Business Without government interference what a concept I know you know I have fond memories of of being a kid and nobody talked about politics and I talked to a lot of adults and stuff too uh politics were not as uh in our homes as they are now politics was not uh was not always being shoved down your throat and you felt like he could do a lot of things and not not run into the law or have issues with it it’s actually funny because you know I travel a lot as many of you know when I go to Europe I feel like I’m less free and look maybe this is like the American and me talking uh maybe it’s because I ate too much McDonald’s before I set foot in Italy or something uh but you know my my America senses start tingling as soon as I set foot in Europe you know like you can feel that there’s just more laws and every individual who’s granted any bit of authority is going to exercise that authority to the fullest extent they possibly can at any given moment because uh you know they they’re granted that Authority and they they act like power hungry little dictators uh you’ll find that the the local bus operator if granted the tiny tiniest bit of authority will exercise that authority to the maximum extent uh where in America it’s a little different now you know here we have differences there’s called the uh this called like the book of the law if you really go by the book and there’s called the spirit of the law and a lot of traditional law enforcement in America especially like the sheriff’s and the sheriff’s deputies is more Spirit of the law the officer kind of expects you to speed a little bit on the freeway you can’t do that in a lot of countries try and do that in Australia and see what happens uh they kind of expect you to jwalk if you’re in New York they kind of expect you to violate the law a little bit uh Americans are kind of given a little bit of a buffer space uh if you’re in New York you can violate the law a lot actually in some areas uh you can walk into Walgreens and you know you see people stealing and not much there’s not really any consequence for it I I think that’s kind of pushing it frankly uh because I think that being allowed to violate too many laws is not right either but it used to be the fact that the the law is not super strict here and Americans for the most part are allowed to make their own moral choices and you’re not going to have issues every time you take a step I feel that’s changed quite a bit um depending on where you live New York for example has had a weird feeling of being totally totalitarian and totally anarchistic kind of at the same time uh a combination I never thought possible where if you’re homeless or if you’re an illegal immigrant or what whatever else the law is very loose for you you can get away with a lot of stuff but if you’re like a a wh looking conservative or a guy the law is going to be very strict for you uh and so there there’s different experiences depending on this because of identity politics and these Soros backed Das and the race-based you know law enforcement systems that they put in place which notably I’m not CR I’m not just saying this is rumor George Soros WR an oped in the Wall Street Journal saying he’s going to do it when he backed these individuals like this is this is what they’re doing according to an open admission for the guy who funded it you know what I mean uh but you know that that’s kind of the weird situation we’re in right now I do hope that we restore rule of law but I do hope that we restore it in such a way that uh it is not tyrannical or overly strict I think there does need to be a balance at all times uh you you don’t want to you know if you’re if you’re a kid growing up in a household you don’t want to live in a house that has no rules whatsoever you’ll feel that your parents don’t love you and they don’t they’re not watching out for you frankly but you also don’t want to live in a house where you have to tiptoe around because you’re afraid of making noise and all the couches are covered in plastic and you know there’s just overly harsh rules also uh typically you would want to balance between the two you want rational logical and you know kind of uh lenient rules but rules nonetheless and and that and I think that makes a comfortable household personally let’s see uh mold guard you’re saying when I was really young I remember only three channels on TV then a few more maybe seven or eight total then cable yeah um I would like to think I’m not that old but uh but I remember that I I think I I think I came in on this seven or eight channel time uh but I remember I remember one of the first TVs I owned there was a dial and the dial had the channels on it and that dial only I don’t remember what it went up to but it wasn’t that many I think it could hit like 16 or this is me just guessing numbers because I can’t remember but it wasn’t that many I remember the click between channels and it was a bit of a distance and so yeah that was old TV folks I I remember when the only day you could watch cartoons was Saturday morning Saturday morning cartoons there was no dedicated cartoon channel and I remember waking up as a kid eating my cereal and getting up on time so I could go watch the cartoons you know uh there there used to be way fewer options with TV a different era right andf and you know then cable came about then he had like what 70 80 100 channels now it’s crazy I I can barely when I turn on the TV now I’m I’m I’m lost there there’s too many channels I can’t keep up with it you know let’s see here NF you’re saying just be thankful we have options and you’re referring of course to Media yeah and and again this is my stance too I I I think competition is good and I think competition is healthy uh I I personally would not want to be the only journalist in the world I really would not want that uh not to mention the amount of pressure they probably bring on people trying to like influence you or something uh a lot of people do try to like actively corrupt or bribe journalists and you have to have a pretty strong you know Foundation actually uh you you need to have standards of Integrity to resist people trying to like make you do what they want um which I think actually some of the corporate media I some of them I’d say they’ve just folded totally to advertisers and social pressure and political pressure and then you have a lot of the independent ones who maybe would be too easily bought off or too easily influenced by things but but I think the best way to do it is uh well I like I I do what I do because I like the way I do it you know what I mean I if I didn’t feel that way I’d do it a different way uh I personally like it were the only people I’m really beholden to are you you know like the only people I need the only people I need to make happy are you the viewers uh I don’t really have obligations to anything else for the most part right um that being said I do know that sometimes some people may not like what’s happening in the news and I need to say it anyways uh you know because I got to be honest right um and and that’s just the way the world is sometimes I know most people don’t get too moved by that stuff but you do have some people kind of freak out on you and you know is a journalist and many of you know my opinions right uh but at the same time too you know that I do try to show both sides and I do make an effort to explain to you what both sides are saying and I do try to say that as accurately as possible uh I’m not going to avoid talking to people on any side of the political Spectrum you know I I think it’s healthy I think it’s healthy to talk to people who don’t agree with me on things and people who I don’t understand I think it’s healthy to have that kind of discussion and um I do hope to kind of restore a lot of that right all right last question here realreal.com you’re saying balance is the key to the equ equation of justice and I fully agreed uh the old scales of Justice right all right folks that said thank you so much for being here join me again tomorrow 10:30 a.m. eastern time we’re in some interesting times uh I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone still we’ll see what happens uh in leave it to beaverland but uh you know join me again tomorrow 10:30 a.m. eastern time we’ll see if anything changes uh I do think uh there’s going to be a lot going on we’re at the beginning of a probably pretty big shift in this country and I will be keeping you updated on all that’s going on with that so folks join me again tomorrow thank you so much for being here and as always please take care of yourselves stay informed and stay free thank you [Music] [Applause]
