let’s just say the entire world is taking notice that Trump is now been elected president and they are making changes and compromises based on that which is pretty freaking incredible but the other thing that Trump is doing is actually promising to expand gun rights in a big way but there’s some people that believe in gun rights that don’t think he’s taking this far enough well today I’m going to give you my opinion on why some of those people need to slow down just a little bit look at the bigger picture and of course I’m going to explain and give you my opinion on exactly what I think this means because in some states it’s really easy to look at just your state and say this doesn’t really give me anything but in other states this is a really big deal for law-abiding gun owners okay so I just want to kind of explain that how it’s going to affect you as a gun owner and how it’s going to expand on your rights and is an incredible foundation for what we really want so we’ll talk about all of that and of course I want to hear your opinion there’s going to be people that agree or disagree with mine that’s totally fine leave that down below if you like what I do consider subscribing if you’re watching this video and you don’t understand why people would have a problem with this you got to kind of uh look at it a little bit deeper because I’m a part of two amazing communities on the internet the motorcycle community and the gun community and these are passionate people right and that’s a great thing right we need more people that are passionate about what they love and when it comes to motorcycles and guns that passion runs deep there is a Heritage attached to both of those communities that is really hard to break by the way I am giving away another Harley-Davidson yeah check it out it’s freaking awesome now what Trump is talking about doing is actually signing a concealed carry reciprocity Bill a national one seventh I will protect the right of self-defense everywhere it is under siege and I will sign concealed carry reciprocity your second amendment does not end at the state line now think about reciprocity in this way if you get your Concealed Carry Permit in your home state there’s going to be other states a good majority of them anyways that will recognize your permit in that state so while they may have some different laws about where you can carry and where you can’t generally speaking you’re going to be able to cross state lines with that permit and go into another state that sounds great well that’s the way the law is already set up but here’s the problem not every state is set up like that if you live on the west coast if you live up in the northeastern part of the country right crossing state lines can be a real nightmare right and it it can literally get you locked up right people have had the unfortunate circumstances of being locked up for lawfully carrying their firearm here crossing a state line imaginary line if you will um and all of a sudden their rights are cut off right there at that State Line hell even in South Carolina when I first started Georgia did not have reciprocity with South Carolina because South Carolina required a certain amount of training Georgia did not as long as you have a license in Georgia you’re able to get your concealed weapons permit well now that was changed actually believe it or not Nikki Haley changed that it’s one of the one of the things she did good for our uh for our state but it expanded the time Concealed Carry Permits are good and it allowed you to carry into bars as long as you weren’t actively drinking and we also got reciprocity with Georgia um before that you would have to take the South Carolina permit and then I believe it was south code I could be wrong on that I I I don’t really know to be quite honest with you but we had to take another State’s permit exam and you know test whatever do do that requirement to then get reciprocity with the neighboring state and traveling between South Carolina and Georgia or South Carolina and North Carolina I mean dude people do this all of the time it really is not a huge deal at all so it’s a very silly thing when both States look at at the Second Amendment very favorably and yet one will not recognize the other now South Carolina sometimes is a little quirky uh when it comes to Second Amendment stuff I’ve talked about that before but at the end of the day generally pretty proun something I like to do to kind of show the ignorance of these laws and how they are right is is look at the concealed carry map so you click a state you get to see reciprocity with others well uh South Carolina uh is recognized by a lot of other states there may be uh you know different uh requirements or restrictions cuz here you you have to be 18 right and as long as you can lawfully own a firearm it’s permitless carry now right you don’t have to get your concealed carry permit you can right but you don’t have to so conceal carry open carry is constitutional carry state pretty amazing right um I believe that 100% but you better not go to Colorado because they’re not going to recognize a South Carolina permit well New Mexico actually will but if I have a Georgia Concealed Carry Permit I can go to Colorado some restrictions but I cannot go to New Mexico a lot of southern states don’t have reciprocity with New Mexico but if I live in Mississippi I do if I live in Texas I do and I say a lot of southern states don’t recognize New Mexico it’s not a lot it’s it’s just a few of them but still if you didn’t know that right you’re taking a trip to Nevada right Las Vegas you’re driving or whatever get stopped in New Mexico that that could be a problem if I have an Illinois conceal carry permit I can go to Nevada no problem if I have a Nevada conceal carry permit Illinois doesn’t recognize it and it’s not just about crossing a state line and where you can and cannot carry do you have a duty to to uh actually inform a police officer if you’re pulled over in that state if you’re a conceal carrier or not it just there’s just so many uh you know clouded rules and it’s like you almost have to to be a a quasi law student in order to know these things especially if you travel a lot if you don’t travel a lot it it may not make a difference to you but here’s where it does make a difference those States those those Northeastern states that aren’t you know Maine or Vermont or New Hampshire where you can’t carry another any of the other neighboring states or anywhere on the West Coast or you know you know Illinois of course is one of those Colorado New Mexico they’re they’re kind of wishy-washy right only if other states recognize theirs will they recognize yours and will National conceal carry reciprocity would end all that as long as you have a permit one thing a lot of people want including myself is National constitutional carry which means you can carry wherever you want in the United States without a permit but what you’re going to do if you’re able to get concealed carry reciprocity first of all you’re going to make the process a heck of a lot easier for people that are traveling across the United States as long as you have a permit right now there’s going to be states that either strengthen the permit requirement or just make the process harder than what it needs to be where a lot of people may say man this isn’t even worth doing but in return you may have a lot of citizens that say okay well they made it hard in my state I’m going to go to a neighboring state get my concealed carry permit over there and then I’m good to go but you still are going to give people an option to be able to carry wherever the heck they want to without fear of having to cross those state lines now I do believe on on some level they got to make it where if I got a duty to inform here do I not have a duty to inform here there’s some states where your license is tied to your concealed carry permit what do you do with all of that right because that still adds another layer like okay well I’m in a state where I can be but this state is a duty to inform State well I didn’t know that well the cop finds out right that you’re a concealed carry permit I don’t know or that you got have your gun on you what happens in that situation so those are some things that probably need to be looked at as well right where there’s no no duty to inform at all right it should be a given that if I come across a United States citizen the chances of them being armed are high but me as a police officer the ones who respect the Constitution say hey as long as they don’t do anything wonky right as long as they’re not reaching for anything or acting crazy you’re carrying and so am I we’re all good to go so I think removing the duty to inform would be another good thing and then this is going to build upon getting to the golden constitutional carry Promised Land if you will now I understand that you only have four years and it may only be two years right assuming that we do get the house now you got the house senate and of course the president that’s willing to sign something like this so every single day is going to matter and with everything that the president’s going to be doing and trying to you know not bring the world into World War I trying to keep us out of that kind of stuff uh and fixing economical issues and border and all of that kind of stuff there’s a lot on this plate you need somebody I hate to say another Federal agency but you need somebody that can that can track all of this right that can go to bat for conceal carry and supressors and nfas and ATF and really make sure this stuff Falls in line with this promises so that way it can get passed through and people can finally get to that National constitutional carry because that is the ultimate goal but I think National concealed carry reciprocity is one hell of a good start and it’s more than any other president in our lifetime has really been willing to do or at least you can say uh over the past 30 years 40 years so there you go man that is my opinion and I think it’s a good stepping stone but I do agree we got to get to that constitutional carry and you got to make Every Day Count from January 20th 2025 for the next two years you really got to make that time and every single day count because our gun rights could be expanded or stalled like we’ve seen in the past and we want to expand them as much as we possibly can that’s my opinion of course I’d
