let’s get to the [Music] guns Palmetto State Armory is best known for making guns affordable to literally everyone whether it’s their own line of rifles and pistols or just unbelievably good deals for other guns guns in gear on their website those who want to get some Trigger Time and save some money reach for a PSA currently one of the best and cheapest ARS in the market is their PSA pa15 this 16-in Barrel direct impingement carbine is basic but it does the basics well sporting magpole furniture and a flip up rear sight the barrel is 4150v Chrome Molly vadium steel with a 1 in s twist I also appreciate that PSA has correctly used M4 style feed ramps on this budget rifle to improve reliability this PSA doesn’t have the history of hard use like other brands and if you really want to beat the tar out of it you might be better off saving your allowance but if you want a reliable and basic AR to stick in the safe it’s hard to argue against the performance for this price snag went for just $499.99 during one of the sales to some Colt is venerated as one of the best gun makers that ever put tools to steal to others they are hopelessly out of date and out of touch for my money Colt’s iconic model 6920 is still the standard that all other ARS must be measured against they were the first company to bring the AR-15 to the commercial market and for years after they were the one to beat other companies in our era might have surpassed Colt in terms of overall quality accuracy and reliability but you’ll never go wrong on with the 6920 in all essential regards this is a semi-auto version of the classic military M4 save for the slightly longer Chrome line Barrel except for the included magpole PMAG now the world standard the furniture is decidedly retro round handguards and all but for those who want a no FRS gun or the basis for their own build a factory 6920 promises best in category reliability for a very modest price retailing for right around $1,080 for most sellers Springfield Armory was laughed at for leaving their Lane by haters and shouted down as Traders by the M14 faithful when they started unveiling their own AR-15s it isn’t blued steel and walnut furniture but that Saint rifle is nicely equipped and ready to upgrade right out of the box with a sweet price of just $1,023 MSRP you can usually find them cheaper on dealer racks this AR features a smooth cycling mid-length Di and uses an M16 bolt carrier group with a properly high-press tested and magnetic particle inspected bolt made from Carpenter 158 steel this ensures good reliability and extra longevity even under hard use and demanding firing schedules from front to back the saint is fully kitted out with B5 systems Furniture including a slim stock pistol grip and handguard that features six rows of mlock slots for replacing accessories a fix fed front sight gas block and it standard A2 bird cage flash hider are the only nods to what came before internally this is a traditional AR through and through and that’s a good thing if it’s not broke there’s no need to Tinker with it and the saint delivers improved ergonomics without deviating from otherwise proven AR design designed as a rifle for varmint and Predator Hunters as the name suggests Sig M400 tread Predator is a traditional direct impingement AR but one that is set up superbly right from the factory as an accurate light and portable Precision rig featuring a 1 in8 twist stainless steel barrel with a threaded muzzle that is ready to accept a suppressor or compensator at your preference a MAG P PRS light stock and PRS style grip will help you stay Rock Solid and steady on the rifle when you’re in position the flat bottom handguard has mlock slots for accessory mounting and is easy to use shooting off of sandbags or an improvised rest if required the rifle features an incredibly crisp light two-stage Match Light Duo trigger that breaks cleanly at just 3 and 1/4 lb and unlike so many other Precision AR rigs this one won’t weigh you down total weight is just 72 lb unloaded you can turn the M400 Predator loose for $1,200 retail we are a little more than halfway through our list one of the most expensive guns on our list at $2,468 but truly the only thing it needs is an optic available in your choice of black Cobalt gray fde or an urban camo that Daniel Defense calls rattle can the company has spared no expense on the DD M4 V7 Pro it has an ambidextrous charging handle extended flyweight mlock handguard Daniels own proprietary stock and grip for improved Eros and a match grade gisley super Dynamic three gun trigger with a flat trigger shoe most importantly the heart of the rifle is a rifl length gas system married to an 18-in Barrel I know proper rifles are p in this era of carbine dominance but it really does produce a much softer and smoother shooting experience one that means your reticle will barely move from the target the combination of long gas system and Trigger facilitates rapid accurate hits like no other AR I’ve handled crowning the rifle is the muzzle climb mitigator brake which keeps the muzzle positively Subterranean even during rapid fire strings from the shoulder despite the length of the barrel and the hand handguard the rifle comes in at just under 72 lb not bad at all if you want to rule the range or conquer your next competition or is a breeze to use when shooting switch handed all of this in a Carbine weighs right at 62 lb unloaded aside from the proprietary components the only downside to the KAC sr-15 E3 mod 2 as mentioned is the price tag a breathtaking $2,765 Mike molski and the boys at Sons of Liberty Gunworks are fanatical about building AR-15s to the standard the correct standard not hiding behind any sort of marketing puffery they furnished all the specifications they use to build a rifles and famously stand behind them in the highly unlikely circumstance that they fail to perform one of their best AR-15s and a true fighting rifle is the M4 x03 featuring their lightweight mlock handguard that utilizes a proprietary Locking System for maximum durability stiffness and rigidity the 13.7 in Barrel has the company’s own nox flash hider pinned and welded to bring it up to a smidge over the 16-in legal length that muzzle device is key Mount compatible for dead air silencers and any others using that system the M4 x03 features a true 5.56 NATO chamber and is made from 4150 Chrome Molly steel six grooves featuring a 1 in s twist Sons of Liberty Gunworks own liberty fighting trigger and ambidextrous Liberty charging handle are included for maximum user friendliness in short everything that should be done properly when building an AR-15 Sons of Liberty is done including using correctly spec and tested components from the bolt to the tiniest pins and springs if you want an AR that absolutely positively must work and is ready to rock with just the addition of an optic look no further and
