folks we may see a return of Hollywood possibly president-elect Donald Trump has announced he hopes to restore the Golden Age of Hollywood and he has a plan to do this he announced the appointments of actors John Voit Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone to become special ambassadors to Hollywood and another news while with the fires still going on in California there are ongoing criticisms of some of the state’s environmental policies and that’s impacting change well the state is now dropping a plan to mandate the sale of zero Mission trucks and also as law enforcement agencies start to rely more on Technologies like artificial intelligence and facial recognition it also seems to be leading to errors and people are getting charged for crimes they didn’t commit or at least arrested now’ll be going into these topics and more today so let’s dive into it first off folks Hollywood hasn’t been doing so well in case you haven’t been watching which you probably haven’t been uh because no is but look many of the planned major Blockbusters a lot of them have fallen flat you’re talking like 100 million almost $200 million films just flopping and some have blamed this on things like social justice and other policies that have steered Hollywood more towards you know basically politics than towards creating movies people actually want to watch but look President elect Donald Trump is now announcing he hopes to create a new golden age of Hollywood and to do this he has a few people lined up he has appointed now actors John Voit Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone to become ambassadors special ambassadors to Hollywood now Trump made this announcement in a post on Truth social let me show you it this is what he said quote it is my honor to announce John Voit Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone to be special ambassadors to a great but very troubled Place Hollywood California he said they will serve as special envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood which has lost much business over the last four years to foreign countries back bigger better and stronger than ever before he says these three very talented people will be my eyes and ears and I will get done what they suggest and he says it will be again it will it will again be like the United States of America itself the Golden Age of Hollywood and remember Trump is also saying he’s going to bring about a golden age for America as well now we’ll have to see if this can actually change things though Hollywood has seen some pretty massive flops lately with you know many falling short and not even breaking even even close to it uh some of them are losing in the range of like $100 million or more uh take the Joker 2 for example or Craven which just flopped or take the Borderlands which massively flopped look I mean have you even heard of these movies some of them you know when I read the list of movies that come like what is that you know $150 million movie never heard of it now look it does seem that Hollywood has been losing touch with the American audience this may be why and films are also not having the international impact they used to have either and even major Studios like Disney are losing the familyfriendly appeal a lot of people want to take their kids to see Disney movies now and look the argument at least with some is that this is because they’ve been pushing social agendas that people don’t really want to sit down and watch let alone have to pay money to watch now on this in terms of Trump’s announcement the guardian had a bit more on it it noted that the US box office was down about 23.5% since 2019 and it also noted that Trump’s picks as special ambassadors to Hollywood well they have their uh they have their own reputations in Hollywood for being considered controversial and you’re going to see a lot of media dragging them through the mud probably because of that especially Mel Gibson although look what’s controversial and who says what’s controversial I’d say Hollywood is kind of controversial right the label really depends on which side of the political political aisle you’re on but they had Sylvester Stallone commenting on the announcement have a look at this uh Stallone said right said that he supported Trump in the 2024 campaign Trail where he called the Republican candidate a second George Washington and he said quote we’re in the presence of a really mythical character he said again at the America First policy Gala in Palm Beach Florida November and added nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off so I’m in awe so we’ll see what happens with that uh maybe we’ll see some decent movies again right now look another news as part of his first moves in office President elect Donald Trump has been saying that he will offer pardons a lot of them and this will include many who were prosecuted over their actions on January 6 and now others are asking Trump for similar pardons ahead of his inauguration including people who are charged for protesting outside of abortion clinics this has been happening for a while now the Thomas Moore Society whose lawyers are representing many of these individuals it issued a request have a look at this it said on January 14 2025 Thomas Moore Society attorneys submitted to the incoming Trump Administration formal requests for presidential pardons on behalf of 21 pro-life Advocates who have been unjustly prosecuted convicted and in several cases imprisoned by the Biden Department of Justice it says in their letter submitted to president Donald J Trump Thomas Moore Society attorneys quote urge these pro-life Americans are deserving of full and unconditional pardons now they add the pardon request package includes 21 individual pardon requests one for each pro-life Advocate outlining the specific case as facts of each case their outstanding up upstanding personal moral character and the reasons why president Trump should Grant a presidential pardon and not the pardon request package also includes a cover letter outlining the legal rationale for the requested Pardons and explains how the Biden doj routinely and unconstitutionally weaponized they say the freedom of access to Clinic entrances act that’s the face Act and quote conspiracy against right statute against peaceful pro-life Advocates now basically what’s been happening is this some people who have protested in front of abortion clinics were being arrested for doing so and the criminal charge that was used you know basically said that since the protesters in some cases were accused of blocking access to the clinics that that that this violated the freedom of access to Clinic entrance and was also a violation of the rights of people looking to have abortions have a look this was a pretty recent case from January 2024 so just recently right AP said this it said a Tennessee Jury has convicted six anti-abortion protesters of violating federal laws after they blocked the entrance of a Reproductive Clinic outside Nashville nearly 3 years ago the jury’s decision handed down late Tuesday after a weeklong trial marks the latest development in a case that has been closely watched by conservative groups who have accused the federal government of unfairly targeting abortion opponents by using 1994 federal law designed to protect abortion clinics from obstruction and threats Now notes that reproductive rights supporters counter the law known as freedom of access to Clinic entrances or the face Act is more critical than ever in shielding abortion providers from violence now that the constitutional right to abortion has been revoked they say and notes that while a Federal grand jury initially indicted 11 people who are participated in the blockades last year six were convicted on Tuesday those are Chester Gallagher Paul vaugh Heather adoni Calvin zastro Coleman Boyd and Dennis Green it notes they face up to 10 and a half years of prison time and fines of up to $260,000 the sentencing hearings have already taken place actually now look the face act actually has been around for a while as it notes right 1994 President Bill Clinton at the time signed into law and it basically makes it illegal for people to try to prevent others from having an abortion right they can’t use threats or physical Force they can’t obstruct people’s access to clinics or do anything like that right anything that would intimidate them or interfere with them remember in 1994 they you know abortion became pretty much a Nationwide thing and you know a lot of Americans are protesting in front of the clinics there were threats and so on and so Bill Clinton created this law in order to make it so people go to prison probably for a very long time if you block people from getting abortions now technically the law isn’t just about abortion clinics though it also creates the same type of protections for people exercising their rights to Religious Freedom at places of worship and so same protections for you now some have also gested these oil protesters blocking roads should also be charged with things like this what if they block an ambulance right but look on this note though there are arguments among Republicans at the prosecutions of pro-life protesters it ties into a broader Trend that this isn’t just some you know they’re going after a handful of people for blocking the entrances that this really is more of a type of like religious persecution that’s the narrative right they argue also this is a type of weaponization of justice and also a sign that Christians in particular also seem to be unfairly targeted right now now part of this topic was actually raised as well during a recent Senate confirmation hearing this was for Pam Bondi Trump’s nominee for attorney general and on the Democrat side some have argued that Donald Trump is going to come into office and seek retribution and politicize the justice system and they’re raising concerns that whoever is in charge of the justice department could play a role in this and so during the hearing Senator Josh Holly countered that argument and he alleged that people of Faith right now in the United States are already facing weaponized Justice unfairly and that there seems to be two sides to it right people protesting at abortion clinics are facing long criminal sentences up to 10 and a half years in prison and people who’ve gone the other way such as firebombing churches well they don’t really get much at all have a look at this after the Dos case was decided by the Supreme Court over 100 Pregnancy Care Centers and over 300 churches in this country were attacked vandalized firebombed do you happen to know off the top of your head how many prosecutions Merrick Garland’s justice department brought in those cases it’s a I do not Senator it’s a stunning number it’s two hundreds of churches hundreds of Pregnancy Care Centers and I might just add these Pregnancy Care Centers the attacks on them which were violent which were gruesome were egged on and encouraged by rhetoric from members of Congress including members of this body who have said that Pregnancy Care Centers aren’t real medicine that they’re not real doctors they have legitimized these attacks and the same thing was true of churches and this justice department couldn’t lift a finger to defend these Americans but at the same time time they used legislation a law known as the face act to prosecute at least 53 different pro-life demonstrators including all right folks we got some breaking news the Supreme Court has uphold the ban on Tik Tock Tik Tock is now going to be banned The Epic Times said this the US Supreme Court on January 17 turned away Tik tok’s request to Halt a federal law requiring indirect owner dance to divest itself of the company by January 19th Sunday or CC us operations and know the nation’s highest court took action in the FastTrack case 5 days after oral arguments on January 10th in Tick Tock Inc versus Garland right attorney general and its companion case fire BAU versus Garland and notes the new court opinion which held that The Tick Tock law does not violate the first amendment was unanimous all the Supreme Court justices and its author was not identified Now notes that President elect Donald Trump who will be inaugurated on January 20 one day after the ban goes through and is himself a social media entrepreneur had previously filed a brief asking the justice justice is to stay the law to give him an opportunity to develop a political solution when he returns to the White House and it notes further in that President Joe Biden who leaves office days from now signed the law called the protecting Americans from foreign adversary controlled applications act on April 24 2024 after it was passed by bipartisan majorities and the House and Senate and Tik Tock is operated in the United States by a Tik Tock Inc a US company that came in Islands based bite dance ltd owns indirectly now it notes that Chief Justice John Roberts said Congress specifically found that bite dance cooperates with China meaning the Chinese regime in manipulating content and that its cooperation is required by Chinese law what we’ve suspected all along and he said quote are we supposed to ignore the fact that the ultimate parent is in fact subject to doing intelligence work for the Chinese government Robert said and added Congress doesn’t care about what’s on Tik Tok the law does not say that Tik Tok has to stop they’re saying that the Chinese have to stop controlling Tick Tock meaning not a violation of the First Amendment but just meaning a foreign government cannot basically manipulate a company and use it as an intelligence asset against Americans now like according to news Nation the Biden Administration does not plan to enforce the law ahead of Trump’s inauguration ultimately leaving the decision to Trump but the Supreme Court just ruled on it it might go through we’ll have to see um again it’ll be Sunday Trump’s inaugurated Monday right now like other news Senator Marco Rubio is Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State he’s generally expected to get confirmed he has pretty broad support and this leaves the question of who is going to replace him in the Senate and that choice goes to Florida Governor Ronda santis because there’s an empty seat the governor of that state gets to choose who it is and he has now announced his pick here’s his announcement have a look so I’m pleased to be able to introduce to you for her first words as the uh senator Point E from the state of Florida our attorney general and your next United States Senator Ashley Moody well hello thank you so much for joining us Governor I want you to know I will not let you down I will not let the citizens of Florida down and I will not let my country down now in a post on X Governor Ronda santis also wrote quote Florida deserves a senator who stands unapologetically for conservative principles supports law enforcement has a strong record of combat ing illegal immigration and is ready to deliver on President Trump’s agenda it notes that attorney general Ashley Moody’s exemplary track record shows her commitment to these principles a fifth generation Floridian she has served the people of Florida honorably as a prosecutor judge and attorney general he said I look forward to seeing Senator Moody fight the good fight against the entrenched interests in Washington and I know she will be a CR a critical part of bringing president Trump’s America first agenda to fruition now Ashley moody she has a track record of being pretty Pro Trump and in the Senate well it’s expected she’s going to maintain a similar stance right she will probably stand by Trump’s policies and vote alongside the more magot types in the Senate right now as attorney general she also pushed back against a lot of legal actions that were targeting Donald Trump uh she has actually been relatively quiet on X lately she had a pin post from January 2020 showing herself alongside president Trump during his first term in office and also with first lady Melania Trump and in a more recent post from January 2024 ahead of the presidential elections she wrote this quote as Attorney General of Florida I’ve seen firsthand the positive effects of conservative leadership under President Trump and Governor DeSantis she said that Biden’s policies and refusal to follow the law have shaken the stability of this country and endangered our citizens it’s time for a sharp turn back to the path of security and prosperity it will take a strong leader with the fortitude not to Blink which is why I support president Trump as her nominee on to November she said let’s get this done our future depends on it now Sheen wrote that right at the beginning of Trump’s political campaign running again for reelection now folks in other news with the fires still ongoing in California there are growing criticism of some of the state’s environmental policies as we’ve been discussing with issues to protect endangered fish or endangered shrubs at the expense of endangering human life well the general narrative coming out is that state right California may have been focused too much on environmental and race policies while ignoring basic safety and the basic survival ability of the people of the state and look while setting in place policies as well that are now causing massive harm which is what we’re seeing now with this California governor Gavin nuum is putting some of the states environmental policies on pause because he wants to kind of FastTrack some of the re eventual rebuilding of Los Angeles and they’re also dropping some other policies as well including plans to mandate green trucks have a look at this Dy caller said California Regulators withdrew a proposal to mandate the sale of zero emission trucks over the next 20 years on Tuesday evening it notes that the California air resources board carb pulled back its request to the Environmental Protection Agency EPA for a waiver that would have allowed the state to require massive increases in sales of electric or zero emission drug models over the coming decades as of 2023 only 0.3% of all registered heavyduty vehicles in the US were zero emission models according to the international Council on Ken green sorry clean transportation and know that carbs Advanced Clean fleets rule this would have mandated California California’s truck Fleet to move to zero emission models starting in 2024 ending with the fleet going 100% zero emissions between 2035 and 2042 according to commercial Carrier Journal now remember California is such a big state as well that that policy would have very likely affected other states because you know if you’re if you’re running a trucking company in you know Ohio or something like that or Arizona for that matter and you need to work in California you probably have to have a truck that’s going to go to California and so this law would have affected a lot of other things as well now look the state still has a lot of other similar policies to this and president-elect Donald Trump he’s also been pressuring the state to change some of its water policies uh so they can help end these state man-made drought but we’ll see what happens with that Trump is expected to visit Los Angeles within the next couple weeks and federal money under the incoming Trump Administration is also going to be crucial for California to rebuild and so they got to play kind of nice if they want that money now in other news folks law enforcement agencies are starting to rely more on Technologies like artificial intelligence and facial recognition and that is also seeming to have problems with it it’s leading to errors people are allegedly facing charges for crimes they did not commit more after come back from a quick break experts enforcement agencies are starting to rely more on facial recognition technology in terms of identifying suspects and carrying out arrests and while people are allegedly facing charges because of this for crimes they did not commit zeroedge said this police Nationwide are misusing facial recognition software relying on it to arrest suspects without additional evidence according to a new investigation by The Washington Post it says most departments are not required to disclose or document its use right if they use AI for this it says among 23 departments with available records 15 across 12 States arrested suspects based solely on AI matches often violating internal policies requiring corroboration and it’s one report called an unverified AI match a 100% match while another claimed the technology was UN unquestionably identified a suspect at let at least eight people it says have been wrongfully arrested in the US due to AI matches two of which were previously unreported all cases were dismissed but basic police work such as checking Alibis or comparing physical evidence could have prevented these arrests it says the true scale of AI fueled false arrests remain unknown maybe a lot of people are legitimately being arrested we don’t actually know right they’re picking out about eight cases and that’s not a whole lot to draw a whole thing up but they’re doing that but they do that most departments lack disclosure requirements and rarely reveal AI use now they say the post identified 75 departments using facial recognition with records from 40 showing arrests tied to AI matches of these 23 provided sufficient detail revealing that nearly 2/3 made arrests without Cor operating evidence it says departments often refus to discuss their practices or claimed official officers relied on visual judgments to confirm matches now look this is going to be an even bigger problem if we start seeing more Technologies for things like smart cities because smart cities have networks of video cameras and that’s one of the policies they want to have with it also things like smart policing where your phone and everything else and everything you write on your phone everything you search for is also public record if you get arrested now some would argue that people make mistakes too right who is to say that a person may not misidentify somebody maybe the margin for error with that is actually higher who knows and they might suggest these Technologies could reduce the margin for error rather than increase it again Washington Post is drawing their analysis on a relatively small number of cases that were found to be dismissed but the issue is you can also do things to conceal or alter your face and that could make you look like somebody else then there’s the general problem of computer error and also the type of society we create when you build the infrastructure to monitor every person’s face in order to make you know it’s all a bit safer and interestingly some of these Technologies actually pull from January 6 FOX noted some of this back in May 2023 it said this it said the Technology’s use in police investigation boomed in recent years particularly after the January 6 Capital Riot it says but the artificial intelligence algorithms and the technology falsely identified African-Americans and Asian faces 10 to 100 times more than white faces according to a 2019 study by the National Institute of Standards and Technology it says since then several black men have been arrested for crimes they did not commit these are three recent cases and it goes into some of these examples now look the piece notes the cases of some of these individuals and even though they were eventually set free the ones who were falsely arrested they did get held in jail for around like 30 days in some cases and look an arrest innocent or not it still risks leaving a stain on your reputation it’s a big deal if you get arrested even if you’re 100% innocent you might still lose your job and stuff like that now folks speaking of faces just ahead of his inauguration on Monday president-elect Donald Trump has unveiled his new presidential photo and that photo is now going viral because some take his facial expression as being an indicator of how his next Administration could be different from his first one let me show you this is a comparison from Donald Trump as the 45th president to the new Donald Trump as the 47th president now look that photo on the left is from the first term in office back in 2017 the photo on the right is the new one and you might notice Trump looks kind of different right he’s not smiling in this one he’s kind of scowling the lighting is more it looks like he took a flashlight and put it under his chin you know what I mean the lighting is more dramatic one eyebrows now raised and some suggest the difference in these photos could also represent the difference we can expect in how he’s going to run this country and and how he’s going to deal with some of the problems that we’ve been dealing with and look remember as well this portrait of Donald Trump will hang in government offices all over the United States when Trump once Trump is in and so all those government workers have to go into their work every day and that’s going to be staring at them from the wall folks again the inauguration is on Monday we’re going to have pretty much all day coverage so be sure to tune in live for that and that’s say jump into some questions let’s see here all right Judy AE you’re saying did they just prove every Asian looks the same I’m losing it today they think we look the same too um I actually funny note I had a I had I had a Chinese friend and she has a boyfriend who’s they’re married now but her boyfriend at the time blonde hair blue eyes her her Chinese Grandma thought I was him and she was like like can you not tell them apart you know me I remember talking I’ve talked to people um coming here from like you know I I’ve been doing a lot of work with Koreans for example you know doing some of the reporting I did there they they have trouble telling Americans apart actually they think we look they think we look alike so it’s a culture thing you know it’s a culture thing uh the way I’ve understood it is cultures with different races we tend to look at different features to differentiate each other and so when you go from One race to the next the the features you look at change and so people might look very similar um which is pretty D pretty dang funny right uh the funny thing with AI though is I don’t know why AI is having the problem you were actually having this issue um they were saying that AI is you know mixing people up it’s also Mis gendering people I won’t I won’t name some of those out of out of good taste but it was uh it was saying that certain women may be men uh AI was doing that and media were making a pretty big storm over it and so uh it does seem to be an issue though I mean again AI is going to have problems but it does seem to be an issue if you’re going to use that as the basis to make arrests I personally don’t have much of a problem if police want to use something to help them solve crimes but I do think you need to have things corroborated you can’t just go off that you know in my opinion um and again I make the point too that when it comes even to like Washington Post you know they’re building an analysis on on a pretty small selection of cases and I it’s not clear whether that’s really fair to make that like indicative of the entire picture so who knows uh generally for myself I am distrustful of I I don’t like it one bit and even if it is useful useful for some things or more efficient I would rather not use it at all um because I don’t like what it’s creating for the world personally Ashley from cforia you saying can we please talk about California Trump proofing the state what does that mean and how much is it costing the taxpayers that actually voted for Trump do counties that voted for Trump get a pass yeah so it hasn’t fully passed yet but they they passed I believe it was $50 million to Trump proof the state 25 million of that is going to the legal cases for illegal immigrants facing deportation uh and so they are doing some of that the issue I’ve raised is that if California can find money suddenly to fight back against the president of the United States then then do they need Federal money to help them rebuild right well if if they have money for other things well you know why do they need Federal money right uh if if they can find money to fight back against you know illegal aliens getting deported but they can’t find money to help out their own citizens then why is the federal government going to pay for them to rebuild right shouldn’t they use the money they were going to spend to block illegal immigrants from being deported on rebuilding like why do they have money for one thing but not for something else I think Trump is going to bring that up I I I do think that that is going to be raised and we’ll probably we’ll probably watch California need to make some changes to its policies to become eligible to receive federal money and actually I would actually add to that I think that if there’s an auditing process and the federal government audits the way the money is used that if there is misuse in that money or misallocation or other problem you could see some politicians in California maybe get investigated uh maybe get pushed out of office at the very least face a lot of pressure and so the mag there’s going to be a big National magnifying glass watching everything California does right now and probably for the next four five six years as they rebuild you know the the time span they’re giving for this is like 7 years meaning California is not going to be back up and running for the the entire Trump Administration and the the fact that they’re going to need a lot of federal money for that means that they’re going to have to play nice with Trump I really don’t think they’re going to have a lot of options to try to block Trump or you know Trump proof the state I really don’t think they’re going to be able to do as nearly as much as they were planning to financially or in terms of the support of the state’s voters and we’ll also see what happens with the recalls uh we we actually could see another recall of G Newsome there’s already some efforts underway to do that and so he’s facing a lot of pressure right now as well bador proo you’re saying that photo is amazing perfect summation of where we’re at you’re talking about Donald Trump’s new photo yeah you know you know what it reminds me of it reminds me of his mug shot do do you remember that that mug shot was probably more valuable than like a100 million advertising campaign you know some people would actually argue that the legal cases targeting Donald Trump probably helped him win the election because and and actually you know Governor Ronda santus raised this on the campaign Trail remember Governor Ronda sanos of Florida was running for president and he was in the lead and then Donald Trump announced he was going to run for president as well it didn’t really steal a lot of fire away from Ronda santis if you if you looked at the polls of the time Trump was not polling so well when he first you know came out and announced he was running again that changed as soon as the feds raided maralago when they raided maralago Trump skyrocketed and you know what happened every presidential candidate on the Republican side had to come out and say that they had to condemn it they had to say this is terrible how dare they do that this is an abuse of Justice or whatever else um Ronda santis did not immediately do that and he was criticized for it and that saw him drop in the polls and so Rona santis said you know basically at the time not the exact words but he said uh that he believes that the investigations probably made it so he lost you know his bid to become president back to the point of this though when they booked Trump and they did that mug shot and Trump came out scowling like like he he was ready to fight that photo probably bumped Trum really far as well and so between the raid on maril Lago the mug shot and then I think the big one was the assassination attempt you know and when he said fight fight and his ear was bleeding those three incidents some would argue probably helped Trump get elected that if it were not for those three incidents he may not have done as well as he did and um it’s interesting now that that photo and the facial expression he had in that seems to be now the facial expression that’s going to be hanging in every federal government office uh anywhere in the country now interesting stuff right all right seeyour buts you’re saying well the Chinese think that controlling Hollywood is important so maybe we need to take a hint from them right and people are saying you know why do we need a special ambassador to Hollywood yeah well you know here’s the thing actually so when you talk about defense and you talk about diplomacy and you talk about National Power some would say that National Power exists in two forms there’s hard power and there’s soft power America having you know the most powerful military on the world is a formidable Force when it comes to hard power and we also used to be a very formidable Force when it came to soft Power American movies American Music American TV shows you know like look at friends in Arab countries like they they love it it’s crazy we we have a lot of influence on the cultural front and so between these two things a lot of the world is kind of United under the American Banner to an extent now that has begun to change as h Hollywood has begun really acting against us interests some would argue this started as far back as the Hollywood Blacklist when you had Communists infiltrating Hollywood and because you’re they’re now making movies that have values that do not resonate with Traditional Values of most countries on Earth Hollywood is losing a lot of influence our films are flopping uh I I personally don’t want to watch most of the movies they make I find a lot of them just generally uninteresting these days I I don’t think they resonate with people like they used to they feel fake um I I I don’t watch a lot of the movies coming out these days I I haven’t I I haven’t liked many of them for a good while I thought Dune was okay actually but but I I feel a lot of movies have really just they’ve gone really downhill and the other side you have is as Seymour buts is noting that the Chinese Communist Party actually has a lot of requirements for Hollywood and even been buying up a lot of it they’ve been buying up Talent houses they’ve been buying up um even theater chains uh for example uh they’ve been making requirements for co-production of American movies to get into China they have all kinds of laws and so Hollywood films what does that mean if you want to basically make a successful film you cannot show the US military in a positive light you have to show in a negative light or not at all you cannot show the CCP in a negative light you can only show the CCP positively you have to have a Chinese actor you have to have all this different stuff and it it’s ridiculous right we let them do that some would argue as well that and this is kind of the other thing with Hollywood a lot of films get tax taxpayers subsidies we actually federally pay into some Hollywood films and you could argue well it’s because of national interest American soft power whatever you want to call it but why are we paying into something that goes against our interests and so Trump by having these special ambassadors to Hollywood it’s not clear what cards they’re going to play at the at the table you know what I mean because these guys are going to have to have something to win over the producers in Hollywood you know what I mean um you’re not going to have Mel Gibson walk in on a set and be like here’s what we’re making today it’s probably not going to work like that but um actually he’s he’s making a new uh he’s making a new movie about the life of Jesus he’s doing one on the resurrection now so it’s going to be interesting but you know to make Hollywood Studios listen to Mel Gibson who has been kind of like pushed you know out in some ways Sylvester Stallone who I don’t think has really gotten pushed out much um I I I think they’re going to have to have something to play at the table and that might be federal government money I don’t know uh it might be for example I don’t I don’t know may Trump is going to have to create something to incentivize it because I don’t I don’t know what they’re going to use to become ambassadors otherwise oh look it’s Trump’s representative actor let me make my movie how he wants like a lot of them are not going to say that right um on that note too though a lot of Hollywood films have been moving away from the kind of Dei woke stuff uh for example uh inside out too some of the filmmakers were very unhappy because they apparently edited out scenes that show like homosexuality and stuff and so they they actually have been removing some of those themes from films already because they believe it may harm the box office ratings and so we’re already seeing that shift to an extent let’s see here TMA you’re saying Trump will direct his own movie The Return of trump I could see it I could see it imagine Sylvester Stallone Sylvester Stallone is Donald Trump you know like glare glaring you know with the with the one with one eyebrow higher I’d watch that you know we could bring back like uh 80s action movies you know with Sylvester Stallone starring as Donald Trump that’d be interesting let’s see here uh Ari JG 86 you’re saying there is an interview where the guy where the guy said the bigger Church in America ha has is the Theater Hollywood that’s interesting you know I would agree actually that films actually have more significance than we probably give them credit for and let me explain how that kind of works right So In traditional societies your system of values is formed by a lot of things right your ideas of the kind of person you want to be your role models the type of life you find desirable what you want to pursue in your life or achieve in your life those are influenced by a few key things it’s influenced by your family it’s influenced by your Social Circles it’s influenced by your education but it’s also influenced by the stories you are raised with and the stories of a civilization uh represent what you would call the Mythos right uh these are the stories and the folktales and uh you know the kind of historical tales that you know that basically form your cultural basis what is the Mythos of the current Society the Mythos of the current Society is Star Wars Harry Potter superheroes you know that kind of stuff right uh the stories we were all raised with the stories we can talk to each other about and we all kind of resonate with it’s watching The Simpsons when we were kids it it’s watching Home Improvement right that kind of stuff uh maybe watching Jerry Springer for a little while these These are the stories that shaped our perceptions right uh Sports represent that football baseball you know hockey whatever you watch these things form a type of cultural fabric for a society and so actually it is pretty important uh how many of you wanted to become archaeologists for a little bit after seeing Indiana Jones when you were kids right I know I went through a brief stage where I wanted to be an archaeologist because I thought that’s what it was like you know but um again it’s it’s and how many people do you know who act like their favorite movie character in some way it’s because they see in that character a trait that they like it resonates with them uh movies are actually really important you can change the values of a country through movies and if Hollywood is acting against the cultural interests of America or even demonizing our country you’re going to have a lot more kids and a lot more people resonating with those ideas as well and and that’s one of the impacts that Hollywood has and also one of the reasons why I think it’s so dangerous if you let the CCP uh have the influence over Hollywood that they’ve had I think it’s terrible what the CCP has done with Hollywood let’s see here Martin McKenzie you’re saying just what Trucking does not need green trucks Green Truck such a policy will ensure your grocery store in Walmart’s lack the goods you need yeah I know I was reading into some of these specifics on the problems with these green truck lines and and I I was actually I what what I read the problem was is the amount of weight that they could possibly haul would be limited because of this and also the recharging times and all the other problems uh from what I was reading the restrictions California was going to put in place would have massively impacted the shipping industry and if you understand the problems we even had from covid-19 with shipping add to that the additional problems of C California regulations damaging the entire like fleets of you know entire let’s put it this way companies that would want to companies that are already in the business of shipping would basically have to buy new vehicles if they were going to align with California law and a lot of them it would be really hard for them to do that uh we’re already in a hard enough time when it comes to shipping and Logistics even with delivery services there are a lot of problems you know a lot of people buy their goods online now a lot more is being done with online shopping and that means shipping because you’re not going to a mom and pop shop for everything and so you know this is actually having it it is squeezing the market and we’ll see if California even keeps some of the other policies uh even from the federal level Trump is probably going to drop most of the mandates and subsidies for you know for example electric vehicles which is probably going to hurt Elon Musk which you know and he’s working with Trump it’ll probably hurt Elon Musk but I do think you’re going to see America move away from a lot of that you know quote unquote green industry uh including windmills including solar panels and so on in fact during the confirmation hearing Trump’s pick to lead some of this he was asked by one of the representatives well what are you what are you going to do how are you going to compete with China on green energy how are you going to compete with China right because they they have solar panels and so and he’s like China’s Building 100 coal power plants this year China’s building 10 nuclear power plants they’re not going for solar panels they’re selling you solar panels because they they think you’re a bunch of suckers right uh that’s what they think and so he says you know what we’re going to do we’re going to build nuclear power plants that’s what we’re going to do and so get ready folks uh American Energy and good oldfashioned clean American Energy real clean American Energy including coal because American coal is actually very clean the only emission is I think water right and uh nuclear is actually very clean as much criticism as it gets that’s making a comeback so get ready for it see here camper 14 Tina you’re saying if you receive any federal funds you should be open to full Audits and financial disclosures I would agree and I think it’s necessary actually to ensure our money is being spent the way it’s supposed to be spent uh I think it’s actually really problematic that we don’t know where a lot of our money is going and I I think it’s really problematic that hey California what happened to that uh that bullet train you were building right what what what was that the uh the high-speed train where did all that money go California have you laid a single rail yet I don’t know have they I I I think it’s problematic and so you know we we’ll see what happens when they do start giving money for the rebuilding of California the rebuilding especially of Los Angeles I I think that California is actually going to be under a lot of pressure and I think that because the rebuilding time is going to be longer than four years this is going to handicap California’s ability to try to challenge Trump at least for the first year at least for the first year um but I think maybe even longer than that and they’re going to be dealing with a lot of internal problems as they deal with this massive disaster and probably a lot of Investigations and probably a lot of pressure on individual politicians who may get wrapped up in this whole thing this is going to be politically detrimental to them I I think I mean already already you see people pointing to all the issues with mis management and Dei policies and environmental policies that ended up harming the citizens of the state to a massive maybe caused loss of life maybe got people killed uh it they’re going to every policy they had that people think was stupid or that was a misuse of funds every one of those now is going to be a scandal and that and that’s what California is going to be dealing with uh because of this disaster uh DC’s BS you’re saying Hollywood has always been woke before woke was a word that’s also true I mean not always I I think early Hollywood was pretty good uh I you know I think the John Wayne days you know when I when I was a kid I used to one of my favorite things to do I’d hang out with my grandpa on my dad’s side and we we’d watch old movies we’d watch old western movies and we watch old war movies and so I got to watch a lot of those old John Wayne movies and you know How the West Was Won and all that stuff um you know some good memories for me Hollywood I think took a turn maybe around the 50s but I I would say especially during the 60s and 70s right like the hippie movement and the anti-war movement um I would say that I would say the Hollywood Blacklist the Communists who were infiltrating Hollywood they really took Hollywood you know right down the gutter I think they really did some terrible things but we still had some decent movies it wasn’t like all the movies were bad in my opinion I think we still had some pretty decent movies uh the 90s had some good movies I really like the Matrix films for example uh and so I mean I don’t know folks what do you think what’s your what’s your what movies do you think were actually pretty good ’90s 2000s 2010s I don’t know you tell me uh it wasn’t nearly all of them right but I think there were some good ones um but actually if you go further back I I do think that you had movies that were more in line with American values um but it’s mostly the older movies uh movies that I really like still actually let’s see here seamour buts you’re saying way back in 1984 bezmenov who was a Russian KGB propaganda director told us how effective propaganda can be yeah and on that point too uh Joseph Stalin was very big on using films uh Kim ilung the dictator of North Korea very big on using films um and also Kim Jong-un now as well uh the CCP also understands this uh the Chinese Communist party leader Mao sadong actually put his one of his wives lady ma right Madame ma put her in charge of culture and so she basically outlawed all traditional dance in the country the only dances that were allowed were farmer dances and there were only five of them permitted and then they gutted all the old stories and gutted you know took out all the Divine elements out of everything you know they communized everything so com communist dictators have always understood the value of controlling the film in industry uh in North Korea you know The Narrative of Communism they have there is like self-reliance because they’re like a they’re the hermit Kingdom right we don’t need anybody uh because they they have nobody right they have no other than the CCP I guess and so all their movies every movie they make has the same basic theme where it’s like you know the the people have a crisis the people realize that communism is the way to solve the crisis and they only need themselves and the people to do it and it’s like every movie is the exact same thing because that’s all you’re allowed to make because that’s what they want want to use to like propagandize people um it’s also why the CCP wants to influence Hollywood and it’s also why they were afraid of Korean entertainment South Korean entertainment because a lot of that was going into China uh they called it the Korean way right a lot of the Korean K dramas and movies were going into China and it was starting to influence the Chinese people in the CCP declared that was a threat to its power actually uh the CCP even created a program called the Northeast project where they wanted to rewrite Korean history and claim historical ownership over the entire Korean Peninsula which was why uh the CCP declared that kimchi was was Chinese and that got a lot of Koreans angry but yeah in the US too it’s the same thing there there are a lot of people here as well who understand the the power of entertainment and while a lot of people would say well the government shouldn’t be manipulating entertainment the problem we have is that foreign governments are manipulating entertainment um you know even if our government is not doing things to push Hollywood one way or the other and saying you have to include this in the film and can’t include that other countries are and I I I would think that at the very least what I would hope to see happen is that maybe Trump maybe uh would put laws into place to prevent foreign interference in the way that films are made at the very least I think we need something like that um and and the same thing with everything because you know freedom of expression freedom of speech freedom of belief I don’t think the federal government in this country should be dicted ating what we can or can’t say and everything like that but I do think that we also need to protect ourselves from other countries trying to dictate what we can or can’t say and the way we do things in this country I I think eliminating that foreign interference on the creative and cultural you know expression of Americans that foreign interference is just as bad as if our government was doing it right because of the globalized economies and such I I do hope they do something about it all right
