the tariff wars are now kicking off and guess what the European Union is now coming to the table for what they call these zero for zero tariffs now look on the other side of all this the Chinese Communist Party they’re kind of the one hold out they’re doubling down against the United States and we could actually see a pretty big trade war happen with them and this happens as Donald Trump is threatening 50% tariffs on China in addition to everything else and that would bring the total on the tariffs of the country combined to over 104% and also meanwhile Trump is planning a patriotic military parade in Washington DC and this is an idea from his first term in office that was criticized subsequently cancelled but Trump is now planning this once again during his second term i’ll be talking about these topics and more today so let’s get started now like first off the stock market has begun to surge it’s coming back after days of record drops and this really happened right after an announcement from the European Union they’re ready to negotiate with the United States that was quick right and the deal on the table for them is zero for zero tariffs on industrial goods that’s not everything but while the EU is now folding the Chinese regime is doing the opposite and President Donald Trump is now threatening to expand the trade war against the CCP with what are very likely going to be detrimental tariffs now look first off on the European Union Donald Trump announced his liberation day tariffs countries they began folding one after another coming to the table two of the only major holdouts were the European Union and the Chinese Communist Party one of them has now folded the EU is ready to make a deal president of the EU Commission Ursula Vandonderan she’s now made an offer on this watch we stand ready to negotiate with the United States indeed we have offered zero for zero tariffs for industrial goods as we have successfully done with many other trading partners because Europe is always ready for a good deal though we keep it on the table but we are also prepared to respond through counter measures and defend our interests now in her post on this announcement on X she also wrote quote "Europe is ready to negotiate with the US we have offered 040 tariffs for industrial goods." She said "Because we’re always ready for a good deal but we’re also prepared to respond with counter measures and protect ourselves against indirect effects through trade diversion." Now what’s important with what the EU is now doing is basically this is only about zero for zero tariffs on industrial goods this will not address tariffs on everything and the issue with the Trump administration right now with these tariffs is that they’re going to take trade imbalances into consideration it’s not just direct tariffs so zero for zero doesn’t address probably nearly everything but that does mean you know currency manipulation means counterfeits it means fines it’s even just outright bad trade deals and as many countries you know with many of them the tariff rate that Trump has placed on the European Union these are not just limited to one category of like tariffs right this is a lot of things and a big part of the debate with Europe right now is also going to be around the fines that various countries in the EU and the EU itself place on US tech companies among the many actions they’re discussing is the possibility of hitting X with Elon Musk with a billion dollar fine $1 billion allegedly over its failures to censor content in line with European law uh but also what looks like an attempt to make an example out of an American company by going after the social media platform run by Elon Musk who’s again in the Trump administration now Breitbart said this is that EU regulators are gearing up to impose massive fines exceeding $1 billion on Elon Musk’s ex for alleged violations of a landmark law aimed at censoring online discussions now not the New York Times reports that the EU is preparing to issue major penalties against X the social media platform owned by Elon Musk for breaking the blocks groundbreaking digital services act that’s their big law in all this now it says four people with knowledge of their plans revealed that the penalties will likely include a substantial fine surpassing $1 billion and it says also demands for significant changes to the platform how dare they allow freedom of speech right now it notes the investigation to X began in 2023 with regulators issuing a preliminary ruling last year that the platform had violated the law it notes the two parties could still reach a settlement if X agrees to make changes that address the regulators concerns presumably by heavily censoring the platform however Elon Musk has been critical of European politics and is expected to contest any regulation it notes a second broader EU investigation is also underway meaning this is not even the end of it which could lead to additional penalties meaning they are fining American companies left right and center and notes also officials believe that X’s handsoff approach to moderating user generated content has made it a hub for illegal hate speech illegal in the EU illegal disinformation and other material that undermines democracy across the 27 nation block again of the European Union now look that also may not go over so well for Europe at least not in terms of finding an end to this trade war one of the conditions the Trump administration has set for any possible trade deal with the United Kingdom one example of this is for the UK to embrace free speech in other words end censorship or no deal the Telegraph said this in the UK in a highly unusual step on Sunday night the US State Department issued a statement saying it was quote concerned about freedom of expression in the United Kingdom in relation to the case of an anti-abortion campaigner it said it was monitoring the case of Livia Tossy Bolt who was prosecuted for holding a sign near a Bornmouth abortion clinic reading here to talk if you want nobody talked to her she just held the sign and again that’s illegal in the United Kingdom it says a verdict in the case is due on Friday she was actually found guilty of it by the way but it said the State Department’s respons responsible for US foreign policy would not usually comment on the domestic policies of another country asked about the comments a source familiar with trade negotiations told the Telegraph "There should be no free trade without free speech." A stance that says thought to have become a point of contention between the two nations and part of that may be because well our freedom of speech is deemed illegal in those countries and if they want to find our companies maybe over a billion dollars and up to already in the areas of like 20 or 30 billion dollars already well yeah it affects us but look while the European Union’s investigation to X is technically not about the trade war at least not on the surface right it does seem to be the case that fines like this are being treated as a type of tariff by other means and look right before Trump was inaugurated Meta CEO Mark Zucker Zuckerberg he went on Joe Rogan’s show in early January and he talked about this he said these fines in Europe they work like unofficial tariffs tariffs by other means he specifically called out the EU on this too watch the EU has fined the tech companies more than $30 billion over the last I think it was like 10 or 20 years so when you when you think about it like okay there’s it’s like you know hund00 million here a couple billion dollars there but what what it I think really adds up to is this is sort of like a kind of EUwide policy for how they want to deal with American tech it’s almost like a tariff i do think that the American technology industry is a bright spot in the American economy i think it’s a strategic advantage for the United States that we have a lot of the strongest uh companies in the world and I I think it should be part of the US’s strategy going forward to defend that and um and it’s one of the things that I’m optimistic about with President Trump is I think he just wants America to win and and now while it’s even being floated the United States could leverage the future of its NATO membership as a bargaining chip in the trade war because look we pay for their defense through NATO elon Musk Representative Mike Johnson they have suggested the United States should even withdraw from NATO entirely and you know as things stand currently it does look like the European Union is ready to make a deal but it’s important to note a deal just on industrial goods is likely not going to resolve everything this probably will not get the whole thing off the table and meanwhile the European Union they are looking to make a deal but the CCP well they’re doubling down and the regime responded to Trump’s initial tariffs by placing a 34% tariff on all US goods heading into China along with new restrictions on rare minerals and now well Donald Trump has responded to the actions of the Chinese Communist Party with an additional 50% tariff on top of everything else starting tomorrow Wednesday here’s what he said on Truth Social trump said quote "Yesterday China issued a retaliatory tariffs of 34% on top of their already record setting tariffs non-monetary tariffs illegal subsidation of companies and massive long-term currency manipulation despite my warning that any country that retaliates against the US by issuing additional tariffs above and beyond their already existing long-term tariff abuse of our nation will be immediately met with new and substantially higher tariffs over and above those initially set therefore if China he says does not withdraw its 34% increase above their already long-term trading abuses by tomorrow April 8th 2025 the United States will impose additional tariffs on China of 50% effective April 9th tomorrow and he says additionally all talks with China concerning the requested meetings with the US will be terminated negotiations with other countries which have also requested meetings will begin taking place immediately a lot of them are lining up by the way and he said "Thank you for your attention to this matter." Now look already the tariffs currently in place are detrimental to the Chinese Communist Party i don’t think they’re going to survive this the latest round was 34% tariffs that was on top of the existing 20% that was announced back in March and these new 50% tariffs have put the combined rate in addition to even older ones on China at about 104% that is massive and now well what’s the CCP doing are they coming to negotiate well the Chinese Communist Party responded to this saying they will quote fight to the end and the end is coming quick form I think but look the impact on the Chinese market was looking really grim already across the board the CCP’s markets were seeing their biggest drops in history and making a deal for the CCP it may be a bit more difficult they were cited as the worst abusers in the entire world more than any other country that was looked at in these uh tariffs again more than any other country on bad trade practices they were the worst it’s not even just about tariffs they’re huge on intellectual property theft the CCP heavily manipulates currency they have state subsidized businesses something Trump called out as well in fact look they’re doing this in the open right now even manipulating their their currency with the tariffs and the regime also works through a lot of back doors in global trade they use a lot of loopholes like the Dominus law that let them sell goods at artificially low costs which has now been ended as well by the way and the CCP has also built its economy on so many layers of abuses like this one after the next that there’s no way they can get out of this without facing some degree of economic devastation even one of these would be a big deal let alone the whole picture and look even aside from the normal trade deals just with manufacturing and investment coming back to the United States that’s a direct competition with China this alone will be devastating for the Chinese economy and look on this point the return of American industry it does seem to be among Trump’s main goals here basically look in most countries American goods had been at least until now rendered unable to compete on prices we could not compete and this was done by many countries as a way to protect their domestic producers from having to compete with American products the overall effect of that well it was that American goods really could not be sold in most of the world we were denied markets and that had a domino effect on other factories and you know production chains and everything else right here in the United States we could not have it here what that meant was that our jobs had to leave because of these foreign trade restrictions those went to other countries as well and look hey that’s fine and dandy for the big corporations they made out well right doesn’t matter if they manufacture here or in Indonesia or in China their profit margins that’s all that matters and when you look at the stock market it reflects that but does it reflect the interests of the average American it does not seem that’s the case this meant that they lost their jobs it meant less opportunity and I’d say this is where the dis discrepancy is really playing out right now the narrative we’re hearing from the White House is also along these lines they’re publishing even their own promo videos on this called propaganda but watch this for decades the United States slashed our trade barriers on other countries while those nations placed massive tariffs on our products and created outrageous nonmonetary barriers to decimate our industries they manipulated their currencies subsidized their exports stole our intellectual property imposed exorbitant VAT taxes to disadvantage our products adopted unfair rules and technical standards and created filthy pollution havens this all happened with no response from the United States of America but those days are over but such horrendous imbalances have devastated our industrial base and put our national security at risk in the face of unrelenting economic warfare the United States can no longer continue with a policy of unilateral economic surrender we have to take care of our people and we’re going to take care of our people first now you can make your own judgment on the overall message to me well the main point seems to be the purpose of the tariffs is to restore American manufacturing and with it really the whole supply chain and the jobs tied in with those and that comes along with all the you know the whole industrial base basically our entire economy within the United States not the economy of publicly traded companies working in other countries this also ties another question was the path the country was on sustainable previously well look the debt was getting out of control there was talk of stagflation globalist markets were acting against Americans in almost every country the stock market was doing great but did that really benefit the average person the real state of the economy where was it at well this was also raised by Secretary Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant in an interview with Tucker Carlson watch so what wasn’t working would it have been really fun for me to come in and just keep issuing a lot of debt and know it’s it’s almost like some a bodybuilder is taking steroids outside looks great you know you’re muscular inside you’re killing your vital organs that’s what was going on here but it would have been easy to keep pumping up the economy borrowing a lot of money uh creating a lot of government jobs there was no controversy when we’re doing all that and they but you were going to end up in a calamity if you go back and look the you know you you look at the financial crisis in ‘ 0708 economy looked great right up until then you go back and you look at the end of the dotcom bubble and then the whole credit problem with the fraud at Worldcom Enron some other country companies economy looked great until it didn’t and I think one of the things that we won’t get credit for but that this administration will have done is avoiding a financial calamity we’re hearing similar narratives in other parts of the administration as well and some are arguing the old policies had the effect of punishing Americans for building in America and then awarding businesses to build in China or somewhere else right and this was noted during a White House discussion on tariffs with senior official Taylor Berdawick Steven Miller Caroline Levit and US trade representative Jameson Greer watch this the most important point to understand is that tariffs do not apply to any product that is made in the United States so the the original sin of how the modern economy in America is structured the president talks about more than anything else and I guess to Caroline’s point about um the overall economic vision the original sin was that we created a tax system that punished you for making something in America and rewarded you for making something in China or a foreign country so other words if you had your factory in America you paid a sky-high corporate tax rate you were beaten to death with regulation you had radically unaffordable energy prices and Washington just in every way made your life miserable and the political class didn’t do anything about it they allowed it to happen they sat by and watched it happen for decades they actually wanted the opposite to happen especially if you look at at the 90s when we had NAFTA we had the WTO we had the entry of China into the WTO the goal the goal very clearly was to remove US tariff and trade barriers to make it easier for people to outsource to China because once we gave China what we call permanent normal trade relations all of your manufacturers in the United States who are thinking in you know short terms in terms of quarterly earnings and that kind of thing they said "Listen now I can go move my factory from Indiana or wherever i can put it in China i can put it in Mexico and I know I will have shore access to the US market." Today President Trump is saying the best place to make American products and sell American products is here in America you make in America now with this in mind it really looks like what’s happening right now is a fundamental shift in the world as we knew it this is like a great reset right just with a very different direction than what many had suggested in recent years it’s a remaking of the economic world order no matter how you look at it and despite the stock market still looking pretty rough well there is another story taking place behind all this trump posted this clip from Fox noting some of the impacts this could have on the basic costs for regular Americans watch that’s what we’ve been pointing out this morning and the president has been pointing it out rates are plummeting oil prices are plummeting deregulation is happening you know we we’ve got we’ve got all of these things happening president Trump is not going to bend he he he he told me uh you know a number of times that he’s trying to build the economy and make it independent as opposed to relying on China for things like prescription drugs treasury Secretary Scott Bessant he’s also been harping on the same point this was during an interview with NBC’s Christy Welker and he noted in previous experiences tariffs did cause shocks to the stock market but the overall effect was different for example oil prices going down watch Chris and what I like is data and if we look at data from President Trump’s first term and there’s a big study that just came out uh from a group of economists mostly at MIT that showed that a 20% 20% tariff on China led to a 7% tax or price level increase over four years i think that’s pretty good if we can take in 20% in tariffs and it’s a 7% increase and Kristen the the the little publicized story this week everyone wants to look at the the stock market going down you know what else went down oil prices went down almost 15% in two days which impacts working Americans much more than the stock market does interest rates hit their low for the year so I’m expecting the mortgage applications to pick up let’s go back the aggregate number was.7 so we can we can discern the in individual things also h households saw real net wages go up so if wages go up faster than prices which is not what happened over the past four years that’s why the bottom 50% got eviscerated let let me again this goes to the point the surface image of the stock market does not necessarily reflect the economic well-being of your average person some of these businesses are foreign businesses they manufacture elsewhere they’re headquartered in the United States they have no value for the average person for many of them and Trump also commented on the current shakeup as well in a discussion with reporters on Air Force One on Sunday he said the way things were being done was not sustainable he said the United States cannot lose $1.9 trillion dollar on trade and he explained this current actions although arguably very heavy-handed these are meant to address this watch i’ve spoken to many countries they all want to do just so you understand the power of what I’m doing every country is calling and being very solicitous of us very very nice they’re being very nice and and we have to be able to justify this is not sustainable the United States can’t lose $1.9 trillion dollar on trade we can’t do that and also spend a lot of money on NATO in order to protect European nations we cover them with military then we lose money on trade it’s the the whole thing is crazy and I got elected on that basis we explain it you know the American people understand it a lot better than the media but the media understands it and much of the media writes correctly about it i must say he also published a statement right along these same lines on Truth Social here’s what he wrote he said "Oil prices are down interest rates are down the slowmoving Fed should cut rates food prices are down there is no inflation and the long-term abused USA is bringing in billions of dollars a week from the abusing countries on tariffs that are already in place this is despite the fact that the biggest abuser of them all China whose markets are crashing and they are right now just raise its tariffs by 34% on top of its long-term ridiculously high tariffs plus not acknowledging my warning for abusing countries not to retaliate they made enough they’ve made enough for decades taking advantage of the good old USA our past leaders quote unquote are to blame for allowing this and so much else to our to happen to our country and they said make America great again now look in other news President Donald Trump speaking of patriotism he’s planning a patriotic military parade in Washington DC this is an idea he had in his first term of office he was criticized for it they kind of scrapped it later they said this is like what leaders from North Korea or Iran might do he’s now planning to once again do this he wants to actually do it this time i’ll be talking more about it after come back from a quick break experts agree one of the best ways to protect against financial again Donald Trump wanted to hold a military parade in Washington DC now it was criticized there were people were saying that he wanted to drive tanks and military vehicles all around the nation’s capital in a show that is similar to what you might see in North Korea or Iran but this was really about patriotism and love for the US military he wanted to have Americans showcase the might of our country now his plans were cancelled at the time but now he’s talking about making it happen now like the story on this depends it changes really depend on what media you’re reading if you were to read a lot of the corporate media the prevailing narrative right now is that this is about Trump correlating this with his birthday it’s a military parade for his birthday they’re framing him as like Kim Jong-un the actual stated reason is that they’re going to hold it on June 14th which would be the 20 250th anniversary of the US Army so depends on which media you’re reading right now others are talking about the potential cost of it it’s estimated to hang around maybe $90 million remember you have a lot of troops out there they get paid every day they factor in those costs newsweek said this us President Donald Trump is planning a military parade through Washington DC that will coincide with his birthday this summer they say again according to a City News report notice they’re not telling you the whole context here but they go in saying it’s claimed that the event will mark the 250th anniversary of the US Army on June 14th which also happens to be the date of Trump’s 79th birthday believe which side you want they know that Arlington County Board Chair Teis Krennotus told the Washington City paper that Trump’s administration is planning a fourmile long military parade through the capital the outlet reported this weekend nothing has yet been organized officially but the board was given a heads up on Friday about the event and notes that Keratonis told the member supported publication this and notes that Newsweek has reached out by email to this individual and has also emailed the White House seeking confirmation further information and comment it notes the emails were sent outside of usual working hours so an immediate response was not expected in other words details are thin right it’s kind of in the realm of of rumor right now but this is something Trump has wanted to do since his first term in office this is not a new thing and it could also tie in with his other big plans for celebrations of the country it seems that Trump is counting on the new golden age of America to become a reality soon believe what you will on that but this coincides with the planned celebrations he has for 2026 towards the end of January Donald Trump signed an executive order to plan for what he called a grand celebration worthy of the momentous occasion of the 250th anniversary of American independence the set date for that is Independence Day July 4th 2026 now he has also accompanied that with plans to build a National Garden of American Heroes and the plan for that also is to have 250 statues notice the pattern here to memorialize the heroes of the United States so again 250 it does seem to be the key number now of course not everybody’s on board with all these policies a growing number of Republicans are actually joining with Democrats to challenge Donald Trump especially when it comes to tariffs now among the figures leading this charge on the Republican side is Senator Ran Paul here’s what he said in a recent speech to Congress this was when the Senate voted and actually passed to roll back Trump’s tariffs on Canada just last week watch part of the problem we face today with this emergency though is that Congress has abdicated their power not just recently not just for this president this is a bipartisan problem i am a Republican i am a supporter of Donald Trump but this is a bipartisan problem i don’t care if the Republic the president is a Republican or a Democrat i don’t want to live under emergency rule i don’t want to live where my representatives cannot ste speak for me and have a check and balance on power one person can make a mistake and guess what tariffs are a terrible mistake they don’t work they will lead to higher prices they are a tax and they have historically been bad for our economy also on that point Democrats are looking to rally the base against Trump’s agenda and the protests over the weekend they worked as a rallying call with Trump’s tariffs as the core issue and it’s likely things are going to build from there now DNC chair Ken Martin he announced the formation of what they’re calling the people’s cabinet and they’re going to be using this as a platform to fight Donald Trump’s policies watch hey it’s Ken Martin i want to tell you about the people’s cabinet that the DNC is launching today i have been traveling across the country non-stop since I started this job and what I hear over and over is this americans want us to fight back against Trump’s lies and offer a better alternative trump has stacked his cabinet with out of touch billionaires who are causing chaos and hurting working people that’s why we are launching the people’s cabinet it will be made up of experts leaders and everyday Americans who will share reliable and accurate information that you can use to fight back stay tuned for more now look as with many issues the perception on this is going to change depending on who you’re asking from the other side of it the Republican side they’re framing this as the launching of a type of shadow government which does follow actually a recent public statement from Minnesota Governor Tim Walls the former vice presidential candidate for the Democrats and he did openly suggest well he actually said it uh calling for the creation of a shadow government very much like this the Gateway Pundit said this the Democratic National Committee DNC has announced the launch of a rogue shadow government they say dubbed the People’s Cabinet a brazen attempt to sabotage President Donald Trump’s America First agenda it says the announcement comes on the heels of Minnesota Governor Tim Walls’s shocking call for a shadow government during a recent town hall in Uclair Wisconsin where he openly advocated for what he called quote alter alternate press conferences to spin the public with Democrat approved talking points so look what is this right what is this shadow government according to the actual DNC announcement this is what they say it’s a quote new project from the DNC that will leverage a deep bench of qualified policy experts national and local leaders as well as community voices who all working together will cut through the lies and speak directly to the American people about the reality of the Trump administration’s reckless and dangerous agenda so what is this well to me this seems more like an information campaign right this is like the PR campaign of the DNC it’s likely this is also going to feed into the talking points among public officials right kind of their central base right you could expect this to be the talking points for elected officials because of the way a lot of the media is this will probably be the narratives carried by most news outlets and this tactic could also be playing into the strategy we’re seeing from the White House right now the Trump administration also has this theory they publish their own short videos you might have seen Pete Hegsith or anybody else doing their own videos they’re speaking directly to the American people on what they’re doing instead of going through the media to get the message out this lets them communicate directly it means they can’t take them out of context and it also means they can say exactly what they want to say and the narrative they want to be heard and so look either way it does look like we’re going to be seeing a war of words taking place between both parties now what do you think of this new people’s cabinet from the DNC do you think it’s a a shadow government do you think it’s just a PR initiative let me know your thoughts and any other questions or comments you may have in the chat let’s jump into some questions and also don’t forget to hit the like button all right folks let’s jump into it uh first up Aaron Shimano you’re saying "Why do people like Elon Musk or Mark Carney um Mark Carney being again the the current prime minister of Canada still have business in China with and show no signs of divesting i don’t get it it is an unfortunate reality u Mark Carney does seem to be seem to be very favorable towards the CCP elon Musk um he does you know Tesla’s pretty big in China now there’s different takes on you know Starlink and that kind of stuff there’s some allegations they in the Chinese companies can invest in through like back doors you you believe what you want but when it comes to Tesla this is what happened in China elon Musk was selling of course his electric cars in China suddenly in China there was all this news Tesla vehicles catching fire there was all these scandals around it chinese media was constantly reporting it and they used that as a method to try to get Elon Musk to kind of calm down you know on China and say what they wanted to say he did kind of calm down on the China rhetoric um he did kind of back down on that and then suddenly all the Teslas in China stopped catching on fire what a coincidence right uh so it did seem they pulled some very strange moves with that uh there’s been a lot of stories about uh the CCP trying to get close to his mom in China again believe what you would like with this i I think Elon my this is my personal opinion my my personal viewpoint i don’t think Elon Musk is I don’t think I I think that he’s the kind of guy who who will say whatever he wants to say regardless of what you try to make him say i don’t think he’s being compromised by this by any means i do think that he’s a businessman with a lot of business ties in China um you could say Trump too he’s being very tough on the CCP right now but you know he does seem to be wanting to get close to Xi Jinping we’ll see how that goes also the kind of trajectory right now with the United States and China is trade war and I don’t know if the CCP is going to fold on that they actually might get more aggressive and I and I think they probably will the policy of the Chinese Communist Party is wolf warrior diplomacy they have too much pride to kind of bend the knees so to speak and so they’re going to fight until like one side or the other dies i do not think they’re going to make a deal if they do make a deal it’s usually on paper they violate it immediately but with issues like this with tariffs if they violate it immediately it’s going to be immediately noticeable the reality is they probably cannot survive the current state the way they’re probably going to get around it currency manipulation and then trying to make deals with other countries even that may not work out so well for them because what they need is export markets not import markets they need to sell their products not buy products now they might go to Africa or other parts of Asia or Latin America the issue is they’ve already been doing this about as aggressively as they possibly can and so you know we’re probably heading the direction of a trade war what else is the Chinese Communist Party doing they’re selling electric vehicles meaning they’re competing directly now with Elon Musk and when you have in Europe where you know the left not even the left wing I think it’s just Europe in general and Canada where you know the anti-Tesla protests in the US they’re a thing on partisan lines in Europe and Canada and other countries Tesla meaning electric vehicles in general they’re being seen as political targets and so they’re kind of pushing it out just through the market itself the CCP is going to move in to replace that and so I I do think you’re going to see the CCP competing more directly with the United States and as that happens they’re also going to be competing more directly with American companies and that also means Elon Musk now what does it also mean when you have China putting tariffs on American goods 34% now what does it mean when you have China the CCP uh restricting rare earth minerals what does it mean when you have the CCP trying to kind of you know fine our companies make it very hard for us to do business there that also makes it hard for Elon Musk and I I think that actually as the CCP gets more aggressive they’re going to start burning their bridges even with individuals who’ve they become kind of cozy with i think you’re already seeing it in fact science chick 72 you’re saying EU was always a model for global governance from its initial beginning as an economic union yeah there’s different arguments on the EU i I I’ve seen like the the memes from Elon Musk he he does not seem to be a fan of the European Union uh I think one of the memes said "Imagine liking communism so much that you create a government to govern your government you know because you know that that’s what that’s what the European Union is it’s it’s uh you know every European nation has its own government the European Union is a government of the governments and so it’s technically you know kind of what we have in the United States it’s a it’s basically a federal government and the European member states become like like states right in the United States we have the exact same thing almost uh maybe with more cohesion I’d say i I don’t think the identities between like Minnesota and Nebraska are as different as like I don’t know like Germany and France for example right but what is the what is a what is the American right a federal system every state in the American Union has its own government has its own military which is the National Guard has its own court system including Supreme Court straight state supreme courts has its own Congress right these state legislatures they’re they’re functioning fullcale countries basically every state is technically a country but in America because of federation and you could argue that the the the sovereignty of states has changed because well because of the civil war mainly and and the revisions to the constitution but the federal government is also an additional government on top of state governments it has its own leadership it has its own congress has its own supreme court has its own set of laws has its own you know leader president instead of a governor of a state right um th this is how again it’s managed the European Union is basically the same thing now is that good or bad for Europe uh in my opinion it’s good and bad it’s not black and white on the bad side you know look you do have some delinquent European states you know you have some states that are kind of like your your national welfare recipients you have some who do not pull their own weight you have others who kind of pull the weight of the entire union economically you also have some who don’t really pay their fair share on defense you have others that kind of cover the costs you know Germany is one of the big ones of course the UK used to be but they pulled out of the EU you could argue whether you agree with it or not now part of the idea of creating a fed a federation of states in the United States um a federal government was that the founding fathers did not want to have a repeat of quote the bloody history of Europe where you’d have states fighting other states constantly and if you look at Europe they’ve kind of been like that for almost all of human history they’re always fighting each other and over really stupid things sometimes and so h how many wars has uh has France fought with the UK right historically they’ve fought quite a lot of wars how many how about Spain how about Portugal how about Germany right uh e even during the Roman Empire Germany was fighting them so you know they they’ve they’ve never really gotten along europe has never really been fully united even during the Roman Empire they were not fully united and so the creation of a government of the governments of Europe does work to create some form of cohesion and that helps with things like defense it also helps with things like diplomacy and when I look at this also I look at what what what would the cost be if the European Union were to be dissolved the Chinese Communist Party would swoop in and they’d try to court individual states they’re they’re already doing this uh one of their goals is to balkcanize the European Union and you know if you want to look at the very phrase balkcanize is like what happened to the Balkans right fall of the Soviet Union and so on like that you had a lot of these countries that used to be united under one common country break up into many smaller countries and what happens they all start fighting with each other right they’re going to wars with each other and they repeat what the founding fathers warned about which is the bloody history of Europe right and so you do have countries that would be interested in taking advantage of Europe like that were the EU to not exist and so on those grounds look I I love being an American right uh but but I also think that the European Union even though it may challenge the United States in many ways I think it’s better for them than worse i I I think it’s good that it exists uh because I know it’s waiting in the wings if it were to go away um you would have countries very interested in subverting individual member states uh were the EU to not act as kind of a common ground for negotiations um I think it would be really bad for Europe denise B you’re saying there’s such a fine line between acknowledging the threat that China and its infiltration into the US poses and suspicion of Asian people currently inside the US i’ve heard a lot of I I’ve seen a lot of this you’re saying I wouldn’t be good at distinguishing specific nationalities not to negotiate negate your concern but I think most Chinese in this country originally came because they were fleeing religious political or financial oppression in their own country that’s totally true um I mean look I I have a lot of friends who are Chinese almost all the people in my circle who are Chinese fled communism i I don’t have I don’t even know one of them who is pro-CCCP i I don’t know any um I I go on shows of course um you know when I go to like CPAC and stuff I I do shows sometimes with like Chinese groups that are anti-Chinese communist part like the like the democracy activists for China I do their shows I know plenty of uh people who are very much anti-CCCP and I’m also aware that unfortunately because even people who are very anti-CCCP they sometimes group been anti-CCCP Chinese with like CCP subversion and and look okay look step back for a minute if you see that there’s some guy who maybe makes a mistake and you know or maybe intentionally subverts the Trump administration and the guy looks like he’s Asian what’s your first reaction going to be well if you look at Twitter or X and like the comments it’s like "Oh is he a Chinese spy is he a Chinese spy?" It’s the it’s the knee-jerk immediate reaction for a lot of people now now in some ways it’s good that people are becoming aware of the nature of CCP subversion on the other side it it actually is kind of sad that you do have a lot of people who have nothing to do with the CCP getting put in that kind of corner uh the other problem you do have though is the Chinese the Chinese Communist Party really should take the blame for this and and by the way this is also why I make a distinction between China and the Chinese Communist Party this is why I say CCP this is why I say the Chinese Communist Party or the Chinese regime and I typically do not say China when referring to the people of China or when I refer to like individuals in China i I try to distinguish the two because they’re not the same the CCP has historically been the greatest abuser of the Chinese people uh it has killed upwards of a 100red million possibly even 150 million depending on the estimates you go by uh to this day it still massively persecutes the Chinese people the CCP is is horrible it it has done terrible things to China it destroyed their history it destroyed their culture and I mean it subverts them it uses them it I mean look at the Chinese police stations in the US it targets even Chinese expats and so you know it’s terrible um the other side of this though is the Chinese Communist Party is also kind of to blame for this this stereotyping I think we could call it because the CCP with its espionage efforts does target people based on race it does target people based on race uh it even has what’s called the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office the OCAO and this organization as the name suggests overseas Chinese affairs tries to manage overseas Chinese people that’s not even just Chinese citizens uh that includes Chinese expats it includes second generation Chinese it even includes third generation Chinese they will keep you on their databases and they will try to target you and so I I do think the CCP has necessitated a certain degree of caution and a certain degree of you know you got to be a little careful right because it it is a very real issue at the same time not not not all of them are like that and and I think there should be a distinction on this there really should be uh you do have a lot of Chinese who are very very anti-communist and I can tell you a lot of them a lot of them that I know love this country maybe even more than uh than some Americans and the reason for it is because they know what happens if America goes away they know what it’s like to not have the rights we have i remember when I was younger actually I had a Chinese friend and that’s she told me that she says you know you you Americans you don’t realize what you have may maybe we do now maybe the last few years has been a uh has been a wake-up call for a lot of people but but I think it’s true i think for a long time a lot of Americans they they don’t they can understand the our policies from within the perspective of our country they do not understand the value of America in context of what a lot of the rest of the world has dealt with especially people who’ve lived under communism and so you know you’ll find some of your biggest patriots American patriots among these communities uh emotion 007 you say "Communism is like a cancer to the world it eats away at the fabric of society." I fully agreed and I’d say it does that by design actually if you were to ask me what what what communism does is it feeds off of it feeds off of the virtue of nations it feeds off things and so it it will it can only work so long as it has a host to feed on right you have your your capitalists you have your wealthy land owners you have the people who’ve succeeded in the markets what does communism do it tells the underdogs to feed on them it tells them to kill them it tells them to seize their assets and what happens well every communist society is like "Hey uh that guy is more successful than you because he’s taking from you what could be yours." And so what happens they direct people to go and kill that guy to rob that guy to throw that guy in prison and then what happens well momentarily they enjoy the spoils of war right they get to circulate all that money they just took the land and everything like that they celebrate the communist victory and then what happens nobody wants to become that guy again and so none of them push themselves to become successful they don’t want to build a business they don’t want to create success they don’t want to poke their head out above the crowd because that head might get chopped off and so what happens there’s no motivation to innovate there’s no motivation to get ahead there’s no motivation to do anything to work hard to make a quality product because there is no reward for it and somebody might kill you and take it uh people would point to well what about China now the success of the current Chinese economy is given to them by western capitalism it is not a product of the CCP it is western factories it is western innovation that they’ve stolen it’s western unfair imbalanced trade deals and it’s western markets we gave it to them and frankly I think we’re taking it away right now you’re going again you’re I think you’re going to watch uh the Chinese economy just go into freefall and this goes also into one of the ideas of what communism is what does Mark say seize the means of production seize the means of production what are the means of production factories natural resources supply chains jobs innovation everything who has seized the means of production which country controls most of the means of production natural resources factories and the jobs that go with it china who gave it to him we well Bill Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon and a handful of other people right uh through through trade deals that were warned about we gave it to them and you could argue it wasn’t just one person this was kind of the whole policy of the whole world right we sent our factories to China we gave them ridiculous trade deals we let them abuse markets undermine their currencies steal our IP or intellectual property and do nothing about it for the most part we let them do it we gave it to them they took advantage of it and what you’re now watching is that Trump is liberating the means of production from the grasp of the Chinese Communist Party what’s going to happen when the CCP loses that you’re going to watch the CCP go back to where it was before it was feeding off of Western capitalism because the benefits the surplus of money all the jobs all the businesses all those you know pretty neon lights that people get obsessed by all of that is the product of what was given to them by Western capitalism not by communism and when that is taken back you’re going to watch the CCP go right back to where it was prior to that being given to them you’re going to watch them go back to the ‘9s you’re going to watch the CCP go back to where it was and where was it at the time it was a third world developing communist country no different from any other third world communist country they’re going to go back to being a third world communist country because that is all they have ever been under the CCP if they want to have prosperity they need to get rid of communism and go back to where they were before which during dynastic China they were like the jewel of the world without communism the se the China will prosper with communism it’s going down the drain and you’re about to watch it go back to right back to where it was in the 90s uh California guy you’re saying "From what I understand we became a country instead of a confederation so we could deal with other nations." Or did I get that wrong yeah that that’s accurate i don’t want to go too deep into that because I I mentioned it the other day um but America actually used to be a confederation of states uh the the very first government post American Revolution was a confederacy and what happened almost immediately was Europe most of the European countries and and other countries like Libya and stuff which was kind of the head of the Muslim world they ran they ran the um a lot of the slave trade into into Africa uh and they were they were you know taking Irish slaves and so on like that right the uh the the pirates in Libya right um which is why in the America sorry in the US Marine Corps uh anthem you know they say to the shores of Tripoli you know it was about us fighting against the uh the Liberian pirates right anyways big you know lot lot of history yeah the Barbarie pirates right barbar coast i won’t get too deep into that but the very first government America had was a confederacy it was basically an agreement among states without a without an overseeing government it was basically every state had a seat at the table imagine if you had Congress without any of the other systems of the federal government there’s no president there’s no Supreme Court uh there’s no government agencies basically outside of Congress congress is just the different state leaders coming together sitting at a table and trying to work out deals with each other and it kind of didn’t work you had other countries making really bad trade deals with American states uh just totally ripping them off because they didn’t have a lot of negotiating power that that created an awareness that we needed to have something more powerful in order to prevent American states from being undermined by foreign powers the other problem he had was as I mentioned before uh there were concerns expressed that we risk having a repeat of the bloody history of Europe wars among states now we have had one of those the Civil War but for the most part you don’t have like you don’t have California and Arizona fighting each other right uh you don’t have New Jersey and New York having like border border wars may may maybe uh on the ideological level but that’s about it you don’t really have that right for the most part America is unique in this regard on the world stage you don’t you don’t really see countries that have managed to unite people under a common identity to the extent that the American states have uh which is why I think the communists have had to go through kind of other means to create divisions here right they they stir up racial conflict they stir up gender conflict like or they they manufacture new genders and stir up conflict they’ve had to find other ways to make us struggle in order to you know advance their agendas but back to the point as California Gal mentions we were we we did used to be a Confederacy yes there was the attempt to create a new confederacy during the Civil War but prior to the American Revolution the original government was a Confederacy and the reason they created the federal government was more so for diplomacy more so for diplomacy and trade deals which is why the go the the president of the United States actually does have a lot of power on tariffs uh which Trump is now you know flexing his muscles on and Congress is desperately at least Democrats are desperately trying to stop him from doing it those powers are some of the original powers given to the president of the United States in the original formation of the federal government because that was one of the reasons we created the federal government um you know that of course basically diplomacy uh diplomacy trade and national defense including border security like th those are the three core responsibilities uh the federal government of course expanded a lot over the years the real turning point of course was the Civil War which also increased the increased the constitutional oversight of the rest of the nation um and and some would argue that was a bad thing because the states had less sovereignty some would say that’s a good thing because you can’t have a state deciding they want to like create slavery or for example undermine your free speech states have to follow the Constitution including the Bill of Rights um and it’s thanks to that that uh you know you at a state level cannot have your your fundamental rights undermined by a state government there’s good and bad with that but I think that’s uh more good than bad personally uh but anyways that’s that’s also the the powers that Trump is now exercising uh with control of the federal government especially on trade and uh it is going to be hard I think for Cong i’ll make I’ll make this my last point what Congress is doing it’s it’s they’re it’s most it’s almost all the Democrats and a handful of Republicans they’re trying to kind of pull back some of Trump’s powers on tariffs they want to make it so that Congress has some of the negotiating power they’re probably not going to be able to do it they’ve managed to get some of the votes in the Senate getting that in the House I don’t think they can do it maybe they can do it if Democrats win the midterms uh then then maybe but even then well and we’ll see where we’ll see where the trade deals are by then because a lot of c countries are folding so fast on negotiations this whole tariff war might be over in about a month it might be over in about a month but um what you’re going to watch though is that if even if Congress pulls back some of those powers the Trump administration will probably challenge that in the Supreme Court and I would actually argue if you go by at least in my interpretation of the Constitution the president is delegated those powers and so for Congress to remove powers from the executive it it it would be very difficult for them even if they can do it through Congress it it would be like if Trump as the you know the head of the executive branch were to seize powers of the legislative branch of Congress you can’t really do it right this is why we have three branches of government you can’t have one branch just basically vote to undermine the powers of another branch the separation of powers is enshrined in the constitution there are some there are some debatable things with it when it comes to tariffs but I think Trump would actually have very much the the high ground when it comes to how that would play out and probably go to the Supreme Court so I I really don’t think they’d be able to do it they could slow it down but I don’t think they’d be able to do it long term at least in my personal interpretation of the law all right folks that said happy Tuesday uh join me tomorrow 10:30 a.m eastern time uh please share this video give us a like it does help us quite a bit that said folks thank you so much for being here appreciate all of you and as always please take care of yourselves
