Social Security website. This is under the Biden administration. On the website, it would say like uh we based on on current demographic trends and um you and and and how much money social security is bringing in versus how many social security recipients there are because we have an aging population. Relatively speaking, the average age is is increasing. Social Security will not be able to ma maintain its full payments u I think in by 2032. there. So they social security will have to stop start reducing the the amount of money that that’s been paid people um in in about seven years. And so the only way to fix that robotics manufacturing raise GDP you’ve got to basically uh massively increase the um uh economic output which is and the only way to do that is AI AI and robotics. Elon Musk believes America is on the brink, mainly because of years of government overspending and structural failures. In a revealing interview with Rogan on his podcast, Musk laid out several reasons behind his grim conclusion, and it’s deeply thought-provoking. If you care about America and want to see it rise again, make sure you watch this all the way to the end. Now, let’s dive in. One of the things you said when you stepped away is that you’re kind of done and that it’s unfixable. that um well or under its current form the way people are approaching it you can you can make it directionally better but ultimately you can’t uh fully fix the system um so uh I I I like like like like it it it is it is it would be accurate to say that even like unless you could go like super draconian in like you know Genghask Khan level on on on cutting waste waste and fraud which you can’t really do in a democratic country um an aspirationally democratic country then um there’s no way to solve the the debt crisis. Musk opens with a stark warning. He says the system as it exists today makes solving America’s debt crisis nearly impossible. He argues that the system has become so large and slowm moving that meaningful reform is nearly impossible even with aggressive cuts. Musk has repeatedly warned about government waste, inefficiency, and runaway spending, arguing that the current system cannot address the debt fast enough. Yet, despite his high-profile involvement, he admits the task feels nearly impossible. Musk paints a sobering picture of a government constrained by slow processes, bureaucracy, and short-term thinking, making meaningful long-term reform incredibly difficult. His assessment is both thoughtprovoking and unsettling, raising serious questions about America’s economic future and leaving viewers with a chilling sense of urgency about the direction the country is heading. So, we got we got national debt that’s just insane. Where the debt payments, the interest payments on the debt exceed our entire military budget. I mean, that’s one that was one of the wakeup calls for me. I was like, wait a second. The interest on a national debt is bigger than the entire the entire military budget um and growing um this is crazy. Um so, um so, so even if you implement all these savings, you’re only delaying the day of reckoning for when America becomes goes bankrupt. Yeah, you heard him right. The interest on America’s national debt now exceeds the entire defense budget. To put that into perspective, the money we’re paying just to service the debt without reducing a single dollar of what we owe is more than what the country spends to maintain and equip the military, safeguard national security, and fund defense operations around the world. For the economy, this is alarming. It means a huge portion of taxpayer dollars is going toward interest payments instead of investments in infrastructure, education, health care, or innovation. Over time, this restricts government flexibility, slows economic growth, and leaves the nation vulnerable to financial shocks. Essentially, the government is trapped in a cycle of borrowing just to pay interest, which could lead to higher taxes, inflation, or cuts to essential services. In short, it’s a warning sign that America’s fiscal foundation is under serious strain. So I came to the conclusion that the only way that the only way to get us out of the debt crisis and to prevent America from going bankrupt is AI and robotics. So like we need to grow the economy um at at a at a at a rate that allows us to uh to pay off our debt. AI and robotics could be gamechangers in addressing America’s debt crisis and economic challenges. By automating routine government processes, AI can reduce bureaucracy, detect fraud, and optimize resource allocation, cutting down wasteful spending that adds to the national debt. Robotics and AIdriven automation in industries like manufacturing, logistics, and services can significantly boost productivity, creating more goods, services, and tax revenue without increasing tax rates. In public sectors such as healthcare and infrastructure, AI can predict maintenance needs, optimize energy usage, and reduce costly errors, improving efficiency, and saving money. Additionally, AI can assist policymakers in debt management by modeling economic scenarios, forecasting risks, and suggesting targeted fiscal strategies by combining cost cutting, productivity gains, and smarter decision-making. AI and robotics offer a practical pathway to alleviate financial strain, increase revenue and create a more sustainable economic future for the country. Their impact could help stabilize the economy while freeing resources for essential investments. Social Security website, this is under the Biden administration. on the website, I would say like uh we based on on current demographic trends and um and and and how much money social security is bringing in versus how many social security recipients there are because we have an aging population relatively speaking the average age is increasing. Social security will not be able to ma maintain its full payments u I think in by 2032 there. Okay. So they social security will have to stop start reducing the the amount of money that that’s been paid people um in in about 7 years. And so the only way to fix that robotics manufacturing raise GDP you’ve got to basically uh massively increase the um uh economic output which is and the only way to do that is AI AI and robotics. And that is the stark reality. America is facing a perfect storm of demographic and economic pressures. The nation’s aging population is growing rapidly, meaning more Americans are retiring and relying on social security for their livelihoods. At the same time, economic output isn’t keeping pace as productivity growth slows and the workforce doesn’t expand fast enough to generate the revenue needed to support these payments. This imbalance creates a looming crisis for social security, threatening its long-term sustainability. Without significant reforms or new sources of funding, the government simply cannot keep up with the rising demands of retirees. The result could be reduced benefits, delayed retirement, or increased taxes on younger generations. It’s a sobering reality that highlights the urgent need for policymakers to address the structural challenges of an aging population and a slowing economy before the strain becomes unmanageable, putting the future of millions of Americans at risk. So, so basically we’re going bankrupt without AI and robotics. Even with a bunch of savings, um the savings, the savings like reducing uh waste and Ford can give us a longer runway, but it cannot ultimately pay off our national debt. So, what do you think the solution is to the jobs that are going to be lost because of AI and robotics, the jobs due to automation, the jobs due to no longer do we need human beings to do these jobs because AI is doing them? Do you think it’s going to be some sort of a universal basic income thing? Do you think there’s going to be some other kind of solution that has to be implemented cuz a lot of people are going to be out of work, right? Um I think there will be um actually a high demand for jobs but not necessarily the same jobs. And that has always been my belief. AI and robotics aren’t here to replace humans entirely. They’re here to transform the way we work and create entirely new opportunities. While automation will handle repetitive, and mundane tasks, it also opens the door for humans to take on more creative, strategic, and complex roles that machines cannot replicate. This shift means that anyone who wants to thrive in the AIdriven economy will need to upgrade their skills, embrace lifelong learning, and adapt to new technologies. Professions may evolve and entirely new industries could emerge, offering jobs that didn’t exist a decade ago. Far from being a threat, AI and robotics can be powerful tools that complement human talent, increasing productivity and innovation across sectors. Those who prepare themselves will not only survive the AI revolution. They’ll be the ones shaping its future, leading the way in a rapidly changing world. This process has been happening um throughout um modern history. Um I mean there used to be like like doing calculations um ma manually with with with like a pencil and paper. It used to be a job. So they used to have like buildings full of people called computers where the the banks would like all you do all day is is is um you you do calculations cuz they didn’t have computers. They didn’t they didn’t have digital didn’t have digital computers that that people Yeah. Well, there’s just people who just like add and subtract stuff on piece of paper and and and that that would be how banks would do you know financial processing and you’d have to literally go over their equations to make sure the books are balanced. Yeah. And most times it’s just simple math like you know the like in in a world before computers how did you calculate how did you you do transactions? You had to do them by hand. Musk is absolutely right. History shows us that technological revolutions don’t necessarily replace humans. They transform how we work and make us far more efficient. Take the industrial revolution for example. Rather than eliminating jobs, it allowed humans to produce more goods, create new industries, and dramatically increase economic output. Musk sees a similar potential with AI and robotics today. He believes that the only realistic way to tackle America’s rising debt is to stimulate massive economic growth and technology is the key. By automating repetitive tasks, boosting productivity, and opening doors to entirely new sectors, AI and robotics can generate the kind of wealth and innovation needed to support the nation’s financial obligations. In Musk’s view, embracing these tools isn’t optional. It’s essential. Without leveraging AI and robotics to expand economic activity, he warns America will struggle to manage its debts and sustain long-term prosperity. And when computers were introduced, the job of doing um you know bank calculations no longer existed. Um so people had to go do something else. Um and that’s what’s going to happen that what’s that’s what is happening at an accelerated rate um due to AI and and then robotics. That’s the issue though, right? the accelerated rate cuz it’s going to be it’s the accelerator. It’s it’s it’s just happening. Like I said, like AI is the supersonic tsunami. So that’s why I call it supersonic tsunami. Um so it’s like what other jobs will be available that aren’t available now because of AI? Um well AI um will is is really still digital. Ultimately, um, AI can improve the productivity of of humans who who, um, build things with their hands or do things with their hands. AI shouldn’t be feared. It should be embraced. While it’s true that AI carries risks, including the potential for misuse or even global conflict if left unchecked, the solution isn’t avoidance. It’s responsible regulation. Careful oversight can minimize dangers while allowing society to benefit from its transformative potential. Beyond the risks, one thing is clear. AI is here and it’s here to stay. It is rapidly reshaping industries, creating new opportunities, and changing the way we live, work, and interact with the world. The sooner individuals, businesses, and governments accept this reality and integrate AI into daily life, the better positioned we will be to thrive in this new era. Embracing AI doesn’t mean surrendering to it. It means learning to work alongside it, harnessing its power to solve problems, improve efficiency, and unlock innovation on a scale never seen before. electrical work, plumbing, anything that’s that’s physically moving atoms. Um like like cooking food or um you know farming or or like like anything that’s that’s physical uh those jobs will exist for a much longer time. But anything that is digital uh which is like just someone at a computer doing something AI is going to take over those jobs like lightning coding anything along those lines. Yeah, it’s going to take over those jobs like lightning. Um, just like it just like digital computers took over the job of people doing manual calculations. The best course of action in today’s rapidly evolving job market is to focus on upskilling and preparing for roles that genuinely require a human touch. As AI and automation continue to advance, many digital and repetitive jobs are gradually being replaced by machines that can perform these tasks faster and more efficiently. This makes it essential for workers to adapt, learn new skills, and position themselves in areas where human presence, creativity, and decision-making are indispensable. Jobs in healthcare, education, skilled trades, creative industries, and customer-f facing roles are less likely to be fully automated, offering greater long-term security. Upskilling doesn’t just mean acquiring technical knowledge. It also involves improving problem-solving abilities, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. By investing in personal growth and seeking roles that leverage uniquely human strengths, individuals can not only safeguard their careers, but also thrive in an economy increasingly shaped by AI and robotics, turning potential disruption into opportunity. So, what happens to all those people? Like, what kind of numbers are we talking about? You’re going to lose most drivers, right? Commercial drivers. You’re going to have automated vehicles, AI controlled systems, just like uh there’s certain ports in China, I think in Singapore where everything’s completely automated. Yeah. Mostly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, you’re going to lose a lot of those jobs. Long shoreman jobs, trucking, commercial drivers. Um but but yeah, like cars are um cars are going to be autonomous. Um, but there there’s just so many desk desk jobs where where really what people are doing is they’re processing email um or they’re answering the phone. Um, and and just anything that is that that isn’t moving atoms, like anything that is not physically like doing physical work, that will obviously be the first thing. I have to say I somewhat agree with Musk’s perspective. Since America has chosen democracy with all its checks, balances, and slowmoving decision-making processes, trying to tackle the national debt at a rapid pace feels almost impossible, like trying to conquer the world as Genghaskhan would. The system is simply not built for swift, aggressive fiscal action. Given this reality, Musk argues that the most practical solution isn’t cutting spending alone or endlessly debating policies. It’s to focus on increasing economic output. And that’s where AI and robotics come into play. By automating repetitive tasks, boosting productivity and creating entirely new industries, technology can generate wealth at a scale and speed that traditional methods can’t match. In essence, embracing AI and robotics offers a realistic path to address the debt while also driving innovation, growth, and competitiveness, helping the country meet its financial obligations without compromising its democratic principles. In short, America’s debt crisis is daunting, but solutions exist. By embracing AI, robotics, and upskilling, we can boost productivity, create new opportunities, and stabilize the economy. The key is adaptation, leveraging technology and human ingenuity together to secure a sustainable, prosperous future for the nation. And this brings us to the end of today’s video.
